"Congratulations, it took you two months to make a good sword, you've made progress. Now that you know how to make a a sword let's try enchanting it, you'll probably get better at this more quickly, since it's less power focused and more attention focused." I nod and sit up, the couch has a crease where I've been sleeping for the past two months, "why do you insist on sleeping on my couch, I do like to sit here you know." She pushes my leg off and sits beside me, over the past two kJ the she's either been trying to kill me or she's gotten used to me being g here, because most days she wears shorts, mine I've come to realize, or a pair she bought for me at least, and a sleeveless shirt, though that I can understand since she's been forging. "Well, since your well rested what do you want to do first, learn the technical aspect or jump right into enchanting weapons." I stand up and mumble something about food, making my way towards the kitchen. After a quick breakfast and something to help wake me up I sit back down beside her, struggling not to look at her exposed stomach, or legs. "Teach me the technical aspect first, because from what I've read the art of enchanting isn't easy, it requires precision, as well as patience, which is something that I struggle with often." She nods and slides a book over to me from her side of the table, I hadn't noticed it before, "most of my knowledge is in here, there are some things that I know that can't be written down, such as the sunlight enchantment, if everyone could use it there would be no use for me." I ope it and as I read she continues speaking, she's just reciting the words on the book though, so soon enough I drown her out.
Before I decide to try enchanting anything I read the book twice in a row, when I can close my eyes and imagines myself turning the pages I ask her if she would spar with me, and soon we get into a fight. "Celeste, I suggest you stop leading with a punch, people can see such a wide attack," she immediately knees me and I twist to dodge it, it slide along my stomach but doesn't hurt so I go back to the fight, "if i had a sword your leg would be gone, please focus on me." She's been distracted all day, if I didn't know better I might think she was sick.
(Celestes POV)
"Hey, are you ok? You've been really distracted today?" This is the second time he's managed to pin me down, this time he's sitting on my hips while he checks my forehead "I don't have a fever you idiot, and even if I did you wouldn't be able to touch me. Get off, I think your crushing any chance of my having children in the future." I sit up and he rolls back when I punch him, it wasn't hard so I know he meant to roll back, but the unexpected loss of his weight strikes me as odd "you're really light, how much do you weigh?" He shrugs and stands up, holding out a hand to me. "That's not how we play this game, I asked first." He came up with that a while back, for every question he asks that I answer he must answer a question from me, "I haven't been sleeping well, are you happy?" If I told him that I was watching the sweat on his abs he might laugh at me. "Ok, I weigh under three hundred," I kick him and he grins. "you don't want to answer me with the truth, I do t have to answer you with it either, so what's wrong? Do I have to get naked and run around on the streets?" Against my better judgement the image of him running naked down the street makes me smile "I would of course be singing as loud as I can, something strange, it would go with the nakedness. Maybe it would be about being naked who knows." I start laughing and soon he touches my forehead, I growl and before he can move I bite him "ow! What the hell, if you aren't rabid I might stab you!" I bite harder, but quickly let go "check my temperature again and I'll stab you! I'm fine!" Suddenly he steps back and sniffs the air, "oh. Um, never mind." He backs away from me and leaves the room, after a second he returns with a bandage "could you hold this?" He hands one end over and wraps the other end around his hand, "sorry, I don't spend much time with people, and I realize I'm not exactly... I overreact sometimes. If you needed some time you should've said something." I smack him upside the head and he leans away, closing his eyes for a few moments before standing back straight "you're an idiot aren't you? I'm not tired of dealing with you, I'm your teacher, I have to deal with you whether I like it or not." He nods and suddenly realization comes into his eyes "oh, I didn't notice it last month but we've been together in this house for two months." now I really want to smack him. "Yeah sure, go with that." He grins suddenly "I think I will, and you should stop staring at my chest." This time my punch leaves a mark.
"So, you're just having me start now? Without any prior experience? You aren't even going to do it so I can see how it works?" I shake my head and he sighs, I pat his shoulder and he sits down, getting ready. "Don't worry, I'll be here to complain about how much you suck at it." He laughs and settles in, concentrating. I can always tell when he stops listening to me because he starts talking to himself. It's kind of cute honestly, because he talks about his past.
