C30 learning new things

I pull my arm back and hear a pop, celeste laughs and I grab the hammer again "how exactly did 'assistant' become here hold this hammer, and end in alright let's see you make a sword?" She smacks the back of my head and I miss the strike, the hammer dents the wrong area and I growl "less talking more working, isn't that what you tell your students?" Is this payback for winning the game earlier? Geez, my head hurts now, I would've much preferred to learn enchanting. "Hmm, don't hit it so hard all the time, metal is like... people! Some people require a softer approach to get what you want, some require a harder one. Different metals requires different strengths, different weapons require different hammers, for example, to make a spear you need to be able to create the pole, which is kind of hard when you're bashing it with a hammer, a sword is easier because it's... it's a sword, you don't have to make a pole, the hilt is circular but you can sand it down since it's small enough." I nod and go back to the blade, she did this much easier than I did, of course, she can use the power of a sun, so she should be better than I. "As for the reason I'm having you learn this, have you ever wondered as to the specifics of enchanting? The mana in your body is used to react with the mana surrounding us, it then leads it and puts a special effect on the equipment your using. However, to do this you need to have extreme control over your power, you fight well but you haven't achieved effortless killing yet. You need more experience in using only the necessary amount of power. It will also help with your tendency to use your right hand and not your left." I smile slightly as my hands clench, the only reason I use my right hand when using the sword is because my left is used for the spear. "Got a question Celeste, if I were to ask you to make me a spear with sunlight imbues into it, would you? What would it cost?" She shrugs and goes to a cabinet "it depends on what metal you want, there are some that take mana, and sunlight, really well, then there are some that are extremely strong but don't conduct mana." She points them out as she explains, there is a metal that's slightly red, deep red not rusted red, and when she points it out she explains that it comes from deep in our world, it holds the fire enchantment, the first half of the sunlight enchantment, extremely well, so well that if you were to enchant it with another enchantment it might over write the new one, she only uses light and fire in her sword and armor, so she's able to keep them separate. "Can I learn enchanting soon? I have something g I want to try." She raises an eyebrow and points at the... well it's supposed to be a sword "finish that first and then you'll have room to want something else. You have to make a usable sword before you can sleep. Or eat." I turn to her and she shrugs before sitting on a table at the side "hurry, you'll need to heat it again as is, and I haven't taught you how to do that yet." Oh lord, she's trying to kill me.

"It took you five days, With my help. no wonder you want to enchant." She did help towards the end, I couldn't stand straight after two days of hammering, luckily the broken prices of swords could be reforged, No one said anything about using this sword. "How many times did you beat the blade?" She asked me that for the last three swords as well "this time? Somewhere over five hundred, but not seven hundred." I sit on the floor and she walks in front of me "seven hundred and fourty two times. How many were mistakes?" I close my eyes and think back, there were a lot of mistakes "four hundred and seventy three?" She slaps me again and i lean forwards, honestly I just have a headache now "five hundred and fourty two. You spent an extra hundred trying to fix your mistakes, but I'll let you keep your dignity." She pulls me up and take some to a room, after a few moments in bed I move on to the shower, I want to clean off this sweat.

(Celestes POV)

"So, is he any good? I know he doesn't want to be a smith." I turn to look at Alvana and shake my head "he sucks. What I'm testing at this point is his ability to find mistakes. The first sword he made took one thousand nine hundred swings, because he had no idea what he was doing, I explained as he was working. The second sword took two hundred less swings, getting beter, but honestly I was expecting more from the guy who claims to have a perfect memory. The third sword? One thousand and twenty. The fourth sword he landed and five hundred and twenty two. He made twenty corrections to mistakes. He learns at a fast rate, now I know how fast to push everything else on him. I also noticed that his ability gets stronger the longer he's awake." She raises an eyebrow and then looks confused "that reminds me of the sword of sleep." After I poke her she looks at me "the sword of sleep is a sword that literally stops its user from sleeping, however you don't feel exhausted, over time your soul becomes one with the sword and you eventually get sucked into the sword, it was an old legend from my home village." I nod and use the suns light to look at my house, he ate something quickly and passed out on couch. "The idiot has a bed, why is he on my couch?" Alvana laughs and I look at her, she's smiling at me "I've known you a good few years, almost as long as Ave Iron, and I have only known you to show such concern for one person. What changed with Nicta?" I shrug and look away, my mission had been simple since my birth, I was to raise and birth a new age, but in doing so I must destroy myself.. the people who knew my mission were killed by my teacher before they could talk, no one knows it anymore. "Nicta is strong, he's made me respect his strength, but the longer I spend with him the more I realize that he leaves himself very vulnerable.
