Josh

September 25, 4:00

It's been a week, and no murders have yet to happen. It's been kind of quiet and peaceful in River Ridge. Edith and I are dating, secretly. She says ya dating might lead to another murder or something, and she's right. She's been coming frequently to the spa so we can have some alone time to hang out, or make out... Lunches at school have been quiet as well, but nice. I still feel bad for Edith. Is this too soon for us dating? What would people think if they found out? If Trent we're alive would things be different? I don't know. But these three questions keep reoccurring in my mind, over and over again. Aubrielle still seems shocked at the events, I don't blame her. She just moved to a town and there has already been two murders in the past two weeks she's been here.

Aubrielle also has a bodyguard now. It's her brother. Some guy named Arlo, just three years older than us. Miles has been quiet as always, rude as usual. Two days ago on Friday people kept asking Edith if she was okay, people kept crowding her and she ran away.

"What are you thinking about?" Edith asks. She sits on the edge of my bed since I invited her over to my house for the second time.

"Nothing. Don't you think it's weird about the events? I mean, two of them were popular and-" I hear a sigh come out of her mouth. "Right, I'm sorry. It's just, there's something off about all of this." I explain.

"I know, but let's just focus on me, and I'll focus on you." She says, smiling. We both change our positions so we can cuddle. I tuck my head on her shoulder as I hold on tight to her, my arms wrapped around her waist. "I know it's been hard for you trying to solve this, but you aren't the only one. Besides having a small town we have a lot of people in it. You basically know everyone. So I want you to focus on nothing else right now but us." She says quietly.

"I love you." I say for the first time.

It gets quiet for a few seconds. "I love you too." She says. There's nothing I've wanted more than to hold the girl I've been crushing on for two years. Part of me wishes this would last forever.

Miles

Aubrielle and I have become closer, but she found out last week.

. . .

I stay in my room, figuring out how I'm going to get through this. "Miles?..." She says. "Oh my god, Miles..." She starts to freak out.

"You said you wish he'd leave you alone!"

"Well I didn't mean to ask you to KILL somebody!" She raises her voice. Gladly my parents are running errands.

"Ok, just calm down. And don't tell anybody, please?" I head to the bathroom and she trails. "This goddamn blood won't come out of my clothes..." I say.

"Let me help..." she offers.

"I don't need help-"

"Just let me help you!" She says. Feisty...

She starts to clean the blood off my shirt with rubbing alcohol. "I don't know if I want to throw you off a cliff or kiss you." I say with a wry laugh.

"Can I chose?" She asks.

"Be my guest."

She kisses me. I lay a hand on the side of her face, but pull away. "I gotta wash up before I get blood an you too." I mumble. She laughs and exits the bathroom. I take a shower and wash my clothes.

It's an hour later and I snuck into Aubrielles room to hang out. Well, That hang out turned into a whole fifty shades of grey real fast... I push her against the wall, lifting her shirt up slightly. What do I do now? Where are we going with this? I put myself together and think about her.

Edith

September 26, 6:00 AM

I wake up next to Josh after a night of talking about our feelings and cuddling. I make my way to his kitchen and see his mother in there. "Oh, Hi Mrs.Walker." I greet with my usual smile.

"Oh, hello Edith. Did you two..."

"No, we didn't. We just talked all night." I explain. I sit on the chair and lay my elbows on the island counter.

"Oh, and you can just call me Jenny." She smiles. Josh's mother is beautiful. She has beautiful barrel curls and nice blonde hair. Her lips a rosy pink and she is very skinny. She could be a supermodel if she wanted to. I assume she has a job that pays well, guessing by the modern white and black blocky two story house, her clothes, and even by just looking at Josh's room. I wouldn't say they're rich or wealthy, but just well paid. Enough to get their needs.

"Are you and Josh together?" She asks, handing me a bowl of salad.

"Uh, yes, actually. Thank you." I say, sliding the bowl of salad towards me. I take a bite. "Wow, this might be the best salad I've ever tasted." I laugh, and so does she.

"Oh, hey Josh." Jenny says, looking over to Josh at her right.

"Hey mom. So I see you two have bonded." He walks over to me and kisses me on the cheek.

"A bit." Jenny and I exchange a grin or a smirk. Josh sits next to me and puts an arm around me. Jenny gives him a salad as well.

"Ok kids, now go and eat then get dressed for school. Oh, if you didn't bring any clothes honey I can let you borrow some of mine." Jenny offers.

"Are you sure?" I ask. I look over to Josh and his face is telling me he's a bit embarrassed.

"Yes! You can keep some clothes that are a bit too small for me now. I have an outfit that'll look great for you." Jenny seems excited.

Josh and I exchange looks for a second. He gives me a face of approval and I say "Yes!" along with a laugh. She rushes over to her closet and picks out a duffle bag and puts some clothes in it, then hands me an outfit. "Here, wear this." She hands the outfit over. She exits the closet and waits.

I exit the closet wearing a mint ruffled blouse with black pants and a belt. "Don't forget these." She gives me a pair of black four inch, knee high booties. "Keep everything. I think you will look very beautiful in the clothes I gave you." She says with a delightful smile. So generous and kind. Josh enters the room and takes a look at me.

"Ooh! Josh, what do you think?" His mother asks.

"I think she looks... Stunning." His face turning red. I start to blush, then look to his mom. "Thank you, Jenny."

"No problem sweetie. Just promise me you will wear them."

"Promise." We give each other a hug.

"Now come on kids, go to school." Jenny says. I walk over to Josh and take his hand. We walk out the house and into his navy blue 2016 Chevrolet Camaro and drive to school.
