In the window, I could see a list of 5 abilities.

1. Poison control

2. Illusion control

3. Life control

4. Shadow control

5. Future sight

Time to choose, I guess.

From what I remember. You could choose one of the powers. All of them were level one in the beginning but they can grow with you.

And If I remember correctly, out of the five powers, number five was the only one that Jessica never met. So, I would think about that one later, right now, let's talk about the rest.

The first one, poison control. That was the one that I chose in the other life. So that was a no.

Why a no, you might ask? Well, it was a no because based on Jessica's memory, even though some got the same power, they menifet them differently. For me, it appears that I could control something like a fog that had a paralyzed effect on it. And Jessica who happened to choose fire as her ability just burnt those away before she burned me to ash. After some humiliation of cause.

So, no. I would not choose poison control, even though I thought it would fit me pretty well generally speaking. Because without my power, I would have no advantage whatsoever against Jessica. She was bigger, faster, and stronger even before she had the power. So, no, no, no.

I mean, I could also try to avoid the fight of course. But I didn't think the possibility of me succeeding was high since our hatred for each other was mutual. She literally would attack me out of nowhere a week from now.

I believe she probably wanted to fully understand my power before making her move.

So, yeah, next.

Hmm, I think based on the same logic, the next one to cut off would be shadow control. This one was kind of obvious. Her power literally counters this one.

Fuck, I hate this I hated the fact that I had to limit my choice because of a vindictive bitch.

I meant what had I ever done to her that was so bad? What the fuck made her want to kill me? All I really did was defend myself, well mostly, but she started that first, so I guessed she was those kinds of people who like to treat other people like shit but couldn't stand when they got treated the same way.

I could try to kill her first of course but I didn't think that was going to work. Had I mentioned that she was going to get two powers instead of one like the rest of the world?

It could mean nothing, or it could mean that she was a fucking protagonist of the story.

It got to be a reason why I had her future memory, right? She had to have something to do with it obviously. Because if this was not the case, why would I be seeing her memory instead of my own.
