Seeing your own future was a mysterious in itself. I would have like a thousand questions just because of that. Seeing other people's future? That was on another whole level of complicated.

What? Who? How? Why? That would be the first few questions that would pop up first if it was my own memory that I was getting. But to receive the memory of a person who would kill you? It added a few more questions that urgently need to be answered, to me at least.

Was I the intended recipient? Did it mean to benefit me? And was I the only one who received it?

Here was the thing, I had read too many novels, okay? As you may know already, my life wasn't exactly full of rainbows and sunshine. I needed all the escape I could get, so I read. So now, I had like a thousand possibilities running through my head.

So, even though I was not smart enough to figure out what was happening, I was aware enough that something was definitely wrong.

I really wanted to go through the memory more throughout to get a hint of why this was happening. But since I entered this room most of the memory sort of started to disappear.

Instead of content worth of years in the apocalypse that I saw, I only clearly remembered till the part that I died. The rest was pretty blurry.

It kind of like I remembered the premise and the world-building, but not the plot or the storyline.

I wasn't complaining. The information would Obviously become very useful, of course, to understand how the world works like that.

I really wanted to know more about everything, but that was not exactly possible. Not right now and probably not in the near future as well.

I guessed that was why a lot of MCs just sort of went with it instead of trying to figure the stuff out. It kind of made sense. A little.

Anyway let's get back to the business. I need to focus. I only had an hour before this room spit me out. And if I have not chosen my power yet, it will do it for me.

So this is Obviously not the time for me to be thinking of something I that I can't control. Focus, focus. My ADHD be dammed.

So, illusion control. Not bad. I believe this one has two ways of working. One was based on mental, and another one was based on light.

Basically, it would either mess with your head or with your sight.
