Fine

I hold onto Alex's hand as we walk down the stairs towards the dungeon.

I shiver and walk closer to Alex.

"It's cold down here. Whats even so important we have to go to the dungeon?"

"You'll see, don't worry. No one but me, my dad, and some of the royal guard know whats down here. so think of yourself lucky.'

I snort. "Yes I'am lucky. Very, very,very lucky."

Alex ruffles my hair. "At least you aren't dead. thats a start, I think."

I shake my head and pull Alex forward.

"Lets just go."

I start to walk forward but my feet don't touch ground.

I let out a yelp as Alex grabs me and pulls me to him.

"Yeah there's a drop there."

I pull away from him.

"I noticed that. Are we almost there?"

Alex nods and starts to rub his hands on the wall mumbling.

"Here it is..."

He bends down, pulling off loose stones and eventually a hole appears in the wall.

He pulls out a long, rolled up piece of paper.

"This is what we came down here for. It's the original copy of THE prophecy."

My mouth falls open as I stare at the paper.

"Do you have any idea how valuable that is? Almost all original scriptures were burned in the last war!!"

Alex nods. "You really know your stuff."

He looks down at the paper.

"But, this one was hidden deep in a cave guarded by a whole army. No one was getting it."

I bend down next to him.

"Has anyone ever looked for codes? With how old it is, it probably has something."

"We've had the best people work on it. we got a set of numbers and letters but we didn't know what it means. Some people think its coordinates."

I reach out to touch the scroll. "Can I see it?"

Alex hands me the scroll and gets up.

"Come on you can look at it when we get out of here."

I nod and stand up next to him. "Yeah, lets go. Now that I think about it, it sure is creepy."

Alex starts to walk forward and I follow close behind him.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We exit out of the dungeon and start to head back to his room.
For the first time I am actually happy I get to do something.
I haven't been this happy since my days with Dylan.
We get to Alex's room. Alex turns to look at me before we enter.
"Before we enter, I wanted to let you know I am so sorry, I wasn't thinking at the time."
I nod. "Can we just go in and look at this?"
Alex stares at me before opening the door.
I walk in and sit down in a chair by his desk.
I lay the paper across the desk carefully rolling it open why Alex comes in closing the door behind him.
"So, do you need anything? Any tools or?" I shake my head and look at him. "Thanks, but I am good." Alex nods and sits next to me.
"Hey Alex, what is this about anyway? You showing me this."
I stare at Alex why i wait for a reply. "Alex? Are yo-"
Alex puts his finger to his lips, telling me to be quite.
I look at him confused when I hear a thud outside his door.
I grab onto him as the door is slowly pushed open. On the other side theres two men each holding a sword.
The door swings fully open and they start walking in.
"Hey pretty boy. Remember us? We just found out theres a giant bounty on your head. Your little prince friend as well."
Alex tenses slightly. "Yeah well you're not getting either of us."
The big guy laughs and stats to walk forward.
"Oh yes you are. We're getting both of you, that scripture too."
Alex starts to look around.
"Looking for a way out? There are none. You try to dash for that door, my dogs will take care of you will quick."
I look past them and sure enough, a man is walking up the stairs with two hounds.
"Like em? They will tear you to pieces. Unless you come with us, easily of course."
I move closer to Alex, why he stares at him. Alex looks down at me and sighs. "We'll go with you. On one condition, we don't get knocked out"
The guy smirks and makes a hand motion. "Can't promise anything."
