The other day the soldiers continued walking through the forest, in the forest, all soldiers knew that they had to obey orders that Jack was the only one with experience in the forest, even the envious soldiers did not want to risk their lives by disobeying Jack.
That day the soldiers found a few more lions in the forest and managed to kill them, in these fights the soldiers helped Jack a lot more and he didn't have to do everything alone, Jack thought until he didn't even need to fight and he could let the soldiers kill the lions that they find themselves alone.
But he wouldn't do that because the purpose of this mission was to hunt wild animals and not teach soldiers, what made Jack happier was that now he knew soldiers better and left the weakest protected in the middle so he didn't have to worry so much about having soldiers dying.
Jack and the soldiers walked quietly in the forest, when the soldiers were getting used to the lions appearing an animal appeared that not even Jack expected, a tiger appeared in the forest as if he didn't need to worry about anything.
Jack had never fought a tiger before, but he didn't think it would be much more difficult than fighting the lions, besides, he only had one tiger and the hunters were more prepared, Jack was prepared because he heard that tigers could be faster than lions.
Jack told the soldiers to stop and get ready for the fight and the soldiers got ready quickly, while Jack got ready the unexpected happened, the tiger noticed their group before Jack fired his first bow.
But contrary to what Jack expected, the tiger did not attack seeing Jack's group and decided to flee to the other side realizing that he could not win this fight, some soldiers could see the tiger running away and were relaxed.
But Jack did not like to see the tiger running away, their mission in the forest was to kill wild animals to protect soldiers on the Royal Road in the future, if the animals ran away he would not have completed his mission.
Jack already expected that several animals would run away when they saw their group in the forest, but he was still upset when he saw the tiger running away, in fact besides the tigers, bears, and lions, his group was avoiding the wolves that were some of the most dangerous because of the large number of wolves they attacked.
Jack warned Captain Max and Robert that he would avoid the wolves because it was too risky to face a pack of wolves with soldiers if he had a few more hunters he could even risk it, but even when he was in a group of 18 hunters, they were afraid of wolves.
Jack said he would only face the wolves if Capital Max was prepared to sacrifice several of his soldiers if Jack went with a group of 60 soldiers as he was now, it was likely that more than half would die in a fight against wolves.
After a few more hours Jack's group finished hunting because it was close to dusk, so Jack found a place for the soldiers to prepare the camp after everything was ready he let the soldiers who went the day before going to the river.
But the group of envious people could not go to the river this time and they were irritated, after a few hours the group that went fishing returned with fish for all the soldiers, Jack had brought enough food for all the soldiers to spend a few weeks in the forest.
Still, he thought it was better to find fish and fruit for the soldiers to eat so that they would be happier to eat a greater variety of food than they had at lunch.
On that day that they sometimes fought lions and lionesses, the soldiers were much more relaxed because they knew they could kill the wild animals, Jack would walk with the soldiers for another 3 days in the forest and then they would have 10 days to return.
Jack remembered that the group of hunters needed two weeks to cross the entire forest, of course the group of hunters walked much more quickly in the forest and so they traveled a greater distance in one day.
So Jack decided to walk 5 days in the forest with the group of soldiers, so they would travel a sufficient distance to leave the Royal road well protected, of course, they would not be able to leave the Royal road safe with just this hunt, but it would help to leave wild animals in fear.
After all the soldiers had eaten, they went to sleep to rest, after all the next day they would have to walk a lot through the forest and Jack thought that they would find many more wild animals because they are far from the Royal road.
Just like every night Jack sent a soldier to keep an eye on how much the others slept, after a few hours that soldier would wake up another soldier to take turns watching, but what Jack didn't expect was that the envious soldiers would sneak out from everyone.
They decided to go out to the river to fish at night just because they got angry at Jack forbidding them, they had already eaten roasted fish along with all the other soldiers, so it was just to challenge Jack's authority even though they decided to leave.
Among the 60 soldiers chosen to go with Jack were some envious soldiers who wanted to be the leader of this group, but after Jack showing his skills, several of these envious soldiers had accepted Jack's leadership.
Now only 5 jealous soldiers remained and they joined in the jealousy that they had for Jack, the 5 were punished and they were the ones who were going to the river in the middle of the night, they left in hiding so it already hurt Jack a lot.
Their stubbornness to disobey Jack's orders was so great that they forgot that Jack warned them not to go to the river if they were in a small group of soldiers, Jack asked them to go only if they had more than 10 people.
After the soldiers left the camp a lot they lit a torch they were carrying so they wouldn't have to walk in the dark of the forest, they weren't so worried because they knew the river wasn't that far from their camp.
"I'm getting more and more irritated with this soldier Jack, he is an ordinary soldier like us, but he likes to give orders as if he were the captain."
"He is not a soldier like us, do not forget that he was a prisoner and is less than us in the army, so it is even more unfair that he was chosen to do this mission in the forest."
