Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today? Today is the present! The past that she relished and yet deplore. The future that she awaits yet apprehend. This roller coaster, called life, astounds her with a sudden feeling of wonder and astonishment at times or strikes her nefariously, without a warning. At a point it's like a congruous, concordant blend of bliss and felicity and at other times it's just outrageously wicked. It lets her experience mirth at the fullest, then leaves her despondent and in a state of melancholy. And yet here she is anticipating life's thrilling adventures, waiting to enshroud its deepest mysteries. She knows not the perils that life withholds, nevertheless, she chooses to live it to the fullest and revel every aspect of it...!
The cool water laps at her feet, fizzing and bubbling like brine. Even though the sun is beating on her back, beaming in her eyes. She couldn't help but smile as the wind caressed her face. Waves ahead roar and roll down, crashing onto the shore with a soft hiss; peeling away at the deep bronze sand beneath her feet. Without hesitation, she plunge into the blue-green water, her board pressed up against her chest. A chill surges through her, but a small wave washes it away.
She paddles further and further, spinning her board around as a wave comes tumbling towards her. Every fibre of her being hums with adrenaline. And before she knew it, she is above the wave, soaring like an eagle, the wind propelling her forward. Except she is going so fast, it's almost as if the wind is flying with her.
After her exciting adventure, she sat at the sea shore all alone and somewhere lost in her own thoughts. Her eyes are steady to the horizon, face aglow with the last orange rays before twilight beckons the stars. Her lips bear the semblance of a smile, just enough to show that she was enjoying her thoughts, whatever they may be. It's being eight years since she became Alexander Lin yet despite all her achievements, there was this nagging feeling. Something was missing. Different questions kept running in her mind but she chose to ignore them because she knew she had no answers.
Her secretary, Tang Yi, watched his boss from the Bentley's windows. The famous business tycoon who started making waves from the age of 15 and ruled the business world from the age of 19 was sitting idly basking in the warm of the retreating sun. Tang Yi felt pity for this young boss, she was only 22 but the responsibilities she carried, she a 35 year old could not bear it.
Her ringing phone snapped her from her reverie. Seeing the name on her phone screen brought a wide smile to her face.
"How did you enjoy my present honey?" She teased in her honey coated voice.
"I will be at the airport in 2hours, pick me up!" A gruff voice sounded from the other side of the phone.
"Ok, see you later." She chuckled.
After he hung up, Alex smiled. She knew how much he loved and dotted on her but she ganged up with her grandfather, under the pretext of getting her parents undivided attention, to send him to military school. But the truth was, she was enticed by the idea of seeing perfectly sculpted body every morning. One thing was sure, Xander was definitely not happy about it. So to make it up to him and his future Adonis body, she secretly sent him X-rated mangas every month.
Despite being aware her twin is gay.
Looking towards the shade about 500 meters away she smirked at the shadows before fasting her voice a few octaves higher.
"It seems you have become addicted to stalking me"
"....."
"This would be my last warning, the next time I catch you I won't be letting you off" she threatened before walking towards her secretary.
There were plasma screens of arrival and departure times on the wall of the airport. People were lined up at the check in desk with suitcases and baggage. There was a sculpture of a whale with water cascading from it's mouth and flowing down it's tail flukes. In the background soft classical music played. In the arrivals lounge there was a curious mixture of bored and excited people. Some looked like they were waiting for a bus, others like they were children waiting for Santa himself. Some lounged on the low comfy chairs and others bounced on their toes. Xander smiled from ear to ear as he walked out of the arrival area.
"Home sweet home!" He exclaimed loudly not minding the stares he got his fellow travellers and other strangers.
It has being three years since he was shipped off to military by his twin. His eyes sparkled in delight as she thought of his well thought out revenge plan. Alex was definitely not going to escape unscathed. With his huge black travelling bag and backpack he dragged his tired body to a low comfy chair not noticing the drooling eyes that followed him around.
Alex could not get over her twins new look. His toned biceps peeped out from his half buttoned army uniform, every muscle on his torso flowing from the light into the dark. He was a living work or art, his brown skin so tempting to touch; every move giving away his strength. Gawking wouldn't quite describe her state. She was shocked, stunned, flabbergasted, amazed, wonderstruck, mesmerized by his physique. It was like nothing she imagined. His body was drool-worthy. He had a chiseled chest and the skin on it was glowing healthily. She could already visualize his abdominals sculptured to perfection as his six-packs pop, instantly giving off the impression that he came out of a Calvin Klein shoot. She could not get over his arms that were revealed by his rolled up sleeves. Snapping out of her thoughts she wiped her drool and ran up to her brother, embracing him in a bear hug.
"I missed you sooo much!" She screamed in delight her hands shamelessly wandering around his body.
"Why do I get the feeling it isn't really me you missed" he shrugged slapping away her hands.
Alex shrugged nonchalantly before helping her brother with his bag pack as the two walked hand in hand to the car park.
"I heard about Andy Su..."
