Andy Su

"I heard about Andy Su.."

Xander asked looking at Alex's face in hopes of finding a reaction but her blue orbs stared ahead not willing to reply. His hands subconsciously found his way to her wavy curled hair and he felt like someone was tugging his heart. After the accident that happened eight years ago, his sister was finally able to break out of her shell. She became confident, brave, lively, and somewhat arrogant but it seems the issue with Andy Su had soiled all his efforts.

Seeing the guilty look in his eyes, Alex change the direction of the conversation.

"We are going to be living together"she announced as they boarded the car.

"What?!" Xander yelled with a bewildered expression.

"Brother, why do you look so horrified? We would have lots of family time" she grinned

Poor Xander was speechless, he immediately entered the car and whipped out his his phone to call his parents.

After listening to Xander rant and complain through their one hour journey, Alex smirked as she stood in front of her new residence. "Take your time baby brother, the house is not going anywhere" she chuckled leaving Xander in his horrified state. An ally like old gramps sure sure is useful.

After taking over the Lin family business and sending Xander to military school, Alex moved out of the Lin ancestral home. Truth be told, she felt really lonely. If she stayed in the family home she would have company however she couldn't have the beauties under her parents roof. The mere thought sent a shiver down her spine, everyone knew the infamous manizer Alexandra Lin. If she succeeds in drawing Xander to her side she would eat her cake and still have it. With the deal she struck with grandpa Lin, Xander would definitely end up in her villa.

The house was a series of rectangles constructed of steel and glass. It was unapologetically modern. It stood amidst the manicures lawn as if beamed there rather than constructed. The roof was flat and there was no visible chimney. The front door was metallic and opened with both a key pad and biometric scanner. Inside was minimalist. The walls were fashionable shades of white and the floor polished concrete. There was no sentimentality for chintz but on the walls were the most astonishing black and white family photographs. There was no clutter of shoes or jackets, no clutter of any kind. The only organic matter in sight were white orchids on the dark cherry coffee table.

Climbing up the stairs the house took a more detailed form, natural grey stone with all the hues mother nature can provide. The paintwork on the trim was brilliant white, flawless and the path wound to a double oak front door was loose pea shingle. The windows weren't the large ones that are so fashionable now, but more the size he used to see in his grandpa's old country cottage, and like them they were mullioned. But that's where all the old world charm ended, once across the threshold it was technology and modern design all the way. The floors were polished concrete and the furniture scandinavian, high end designers only. The only compromise to comfort was the sheepskin on the floor, so clean it was hard to believe anyone had ever stepped foot on it. The only mess was the wet footprints Xander had tracked in on the shoes heforgot to remove.

"Make sure to clean up after yourself, Xan." a voice cooed from the kitchen.

This was one of the reasons why he never wanted to live with his sister. His sister is a clean freak who refused to hire any maid which means she does all the cleaning herself. But living with his sister means he gets to share the workload too.

Xan began to shed invincible tears. All his plans for this rare 3months holiday went straight into the trash can.

Xander sighed deeply has he watched Alex cook in the kitchen. The long black hair was tied up in a messy bun and her hand held the knife firmly as she spread the the thighs of the frozen chicken, ready to butcher it. Soon the sounds of knife hitting a hard surface echoed in the room. Unable to witness the torturous scene he moved his eyes towards the tv remote in the corner and turned on the tv.

When Alex finished, Xander was fast asleep on the couch. His ocean eyes were closed and muscles were relaxed, his shoulders dropping as low as they could go. She quietly sat on the coffee table and looked at him. His features were much softer in sleep, the lines that usually creased his brow replaced by the youthful appearance that matched those of others their age. He looked peaceful. Sensing his discomfort, she dashed up to his room and came back with a pillow and a blanket. She supported his head with a pillow, covered him with a blanket and pecked his forehead before returning to the dining table for her meal.
