Happenings I

Jeonja

The darkness submerged me as my consciousness felt shaky, a warmth starting to spread over me protectively, but this warmth wasn't my doing, nor the heat's. It was strange.

For one I wanted to smile, a sudden happiness enveloping me, despite the danger I was in and the situation I myself had triggered.

The shadow fog I so loved to use was around me, encircling me like a typhoon as I stood at it's center, the eye. My vision had yet to recovered fully, still, I could clearly see the confused Kwong pack looking around apprehensively through the heavy fog.

Good.

I rushed towards the leader of the pack, his snarl warning me away before I even reached him, but I wasn't one to back down with just that. I chuckled throatily, forming a circle around him, running faster than his eyes could see.

Flashing my claws around his neck, I tried to impale him, but he wasn't a leader just for the name, he was quick to dodge.

Jutting out his own claws, he flashed against me using his super speed, the darkness doing little now to hide me from him.

He grinned, charging at me with the hopes of finishing me off, alas, he couldn't. As I too, dodged away before he could cut out my throat.

The fight was nothing like before, when I was winning against Mak or Babam or Jay, there hadn't be such intense killer intent between us, I had been craving to hurt them bad, but neither they or I was focused on really killing each other.

Okay, so maybe, I did try to kill Babam, but that wasn't anything like this.

The flurry of attacks forced me to side step, the heavy snarling and growls, and the unrest in me, was only increasing into something more dangerous.

I was at an advantage, since my fog absorbed sound, light and confused the enemy, but I couldn't deny it was a cheap trick not enough for the likes of Hasuke.

There was a question as to how I suddenly held so much power even after being drugged, but I wasn't concerned about it for now, there was a more important matter at hand.

I saw Hasuke swinging his claws around for better defense against me, his eyes were still glowing a dull copper… wait eyes?

Shit, he already regenerated. And what surprised me even more was the absence of his pack.

I growled, carefully not trying to alarming my enemy and silently circumventing past him, only to stop a step behind. I tried to claw him, yet again, he dodged me. How The hell was he dodging me even with all my stealth?

"You can't beat me, and even if you do… my alpha will come to hunt you down." Since I was standing close to him, I could hear him, and what he said made me pause.

He was a beta then? But how the hell did he gain so much power… okay so I also trained to be able to surpass my class, still, seems like I really wasn't ready yet to take out the strong… Min was right.

Snapping, I skipped away from him and watched as he started to swing his claws in all direction, trying to get over the dense fog. And knowing he was a beta now, I understood why he wasn't using his element. It was hard for beta members to do that.

At one point he started coughing, breathing heavy, and I knew it was my shadow fog affecting him, it was poisonous to our kind. Well not as poisonous as wolfsbane, but enough to render them numb.

It might be affecting Jackson and the rest too, but I didn't have any other option left.

My claws started to become cold, as they did whenever I used my powers, but today they were not freezing, the warm layer protecting my skin was doing a good job. Although I had yet to understand how the protective layer formed around me in the first place.

I shook my head, and concentrated on lowering the temperature further, converging my power to form around my fist, as I guided the change.

Watching my enemy panic I started to attack him, the poisonous black veins around my nerves intensifying. But he somehow saw me again and kicked me hard in the gut.

I winced, still recuperating from the last few days of torture. Even my abdomen had yet to heal completely, the piercings still around, at times oozing out corrupted blood.

I needed something else to defeat him… and I knew the option left, the final form of my race. The wolf form.

So crouching down, I howled out loud, starting to turn, the bone structure shifting gradually.

Jackson

We were still around, trying to get back on our feet.

And the omegas, who had been held back due to the sudden change in situation, stuck behind us, as he protected us all with rapid successions of kicks and claws.

His movement so fluid, we were in awe. It was like he was dancing with the Kwongs.

While the pink princess was standing at the back, silently watching, as her pack members fought, her face was grumpy as if she just wanted everyone to die and be done with.

And the Kwongs were known to be ruthless monsters, so I wasn't surprised.

"Yuga, Jinyo, Mak," I called, "you three take the left side, two of them at most." We were still injured, we couldn't fight off everyone.

"Jay, Babam, you two block out the jailers and masters who are still around, I see that most of them have ran away."

Jay nodded, but he looked dazed with all the numbing drug we were sprayed with, Jae was worse, since he was still a Sigma.

"I will help out him, the Kwongs are not to be underestimated."

My pack all nodded as we got up shakily from our perches and headed for the battlefield were the jailers were running around trying to fight off him and help out the Kwongs.

"Finish them off already, how slow can you mutts be," I heard the princess finally screech, her side safe for now, but not for long, we will take out everyone soon, I just believed.

The shadow fog that had previously blocked out the whole courtyard, was now thinning drastically and we saw a mass darker than the fog starting to grow out form the middle, as if tendrils of shadows were wrapping it around.

What was Jeonja doing?

I saw he was also worried, as he kept up his fight with the most dangerous pack.

His body lithe and swift as he kicked butts, but I could see the protruding bones and nerves, starvation and poison of the jail had affected him much, and unlike us who had been here only for a day or two, he must be here for months, I could tell.

But for now I focused back on myself, I tried willing my body to work, it was irritating.

We were all distributed as we tried to protect our own circle and obviously the cowering omegas, who were about 10 to 20 in numbers, but what made us all flinch, even the Kwongs, was the sudden howl of a wolf, I supposed was Jeonja.

"Is he trying to turn now?" Yuga asked me, his body trembling with weakness and his voice full of disbelief.

"He is dumb alright, that would kill him," Mak said, trading a look with Jae who was standing in front of the omegas protectively.

"Ignore him, focus on your own fight," I growled, noticing as a few discipline masters tried to assault Mak's side. They had long blades with them and a control button in hand.

"They have the collar controller, take it back," He told us, while still immersed in a fight, his blond hair dirty with blood of one of the Kwong's men, "They will not kill us as Hasuke hasn't approved yet, but they can and will try to suppress us, the collar releases wolfsbane."

"You heard him," I shouted at my pack, "take out the controllers and kill all jailers, unleash your hate and anger you have felt till now. We are the Wangs, we don't falter against the likes of them."

A war cry from my pack resounded and we started to fight with a new determination. I found a lone Kwong for myself and started to trade claws with him, still trying to overcome the numbing poison spray on my skin.

Since the crazy princess was still around at the back, yet to move, I just took in her bored expression and ignored her for now.
