Chapter Nine

~ Tyrell

It has been over an hour since I left my apartment. After Donis, Toren, Lucican, and Kornic had left, Adaria thought it would be fun to tease me. I could still see her standing in front of me with her tail twitching wildly and she spoke. I stopped. Didn't she know how that could affect a man? Even though we aren't the same species, we were close enough to. I shook these thoughts from my head. Every since I brought her home my life has been more eventful than I thought it would ever be.

I had left to get clothes for Adaria since she would need them for work tomorrow. I walked through the crowd. What would even fit her? I wasn't able to contact her since she didn't have a phone. I walked into a store, maybe another woman would be able to help me? I went up to an employee.

"Um, excuse me." She looked up.

"Yes?"

"I was wondering if you would help me with something?" She straightened up.

"Of course sir."

"Well, I have a surprise visitor and she needs some... items." My face felt warm. "I don't know her sizes, but I can about how wide she is." She gave me a strange look.

"Yeah, sure."

~ Adaria

Tyrell had been gone for a while. I wasn't use to having to wait for anyone, I had given up on that a long time ago. I wandered around the apartment for a little bit, exploring everything. There wasn't every much to eat, but I did find some crackers that weren't expired yet and munched on those.

I had been sitting on the couch for a little while, looking out the window when I remembered that I hadn't finished filling out the form for the wrist band. I looked around. I'd left it on the kitchen counter. The only thing I had filled out was my name. Age? Twenty-six. Weight? I looked in the bathroom. No scale. I had to guess that I was about one hundred and two pounds, as that was about the average weight for a female of my size. Height? Five foot two. Eye color? Grey. Hair color? Black. Address? What was it? I thought back to when we were driving up to it. 2175 East Lukin, Apartment 335. Owner? Tyrell Iven. It cost $20 to purchase. I sat back down on the couch. What else was there to do?

I didn't have to think long, there was a knock on the door. I looked through the peep hole. Tyrell was standing there. His face was red and it looked like he was sweating. I opened the door and he rushed in.

"Are you okay?" I asked, shutting the door behind him. He was on his knees.

"No, I'm not okay." He looked up. "Women's clothing stores are scary." I stared at him for a second.

"I'll have to take your word for it since I've never been to one myself." I put out a hand to help him up. He gripped it firmly, but didn't use it. He handed me the bags.

"See if any of this fits you." He walked to the living room. "Also, I got some food on the way home. Make something nice, will you?"

"Yeah." I looked into the bags. Work clothes, undergarments, a pair of sleepwear, and leisure clothes. I looked over at him, he was sitting on the couch. "Thanks." I said. He nodded. I went into his room and shut the door.

I couldn't look her in the eye. How could I after shopping for her undergarments. It took diginty to shop for a woman you weren't married to. It took even more to pass your ex-fiance while doing it. I didn't have that much.
