Chapter Ten

~ Tyrell

I jumped when Adaria opened the bedroom door. She was wearing the light blue pajama bottoms and black top. She walked past me and into the kitchen. I couldn't stop my eyes from following her. She unloaded the groceries from the cloth bag and laid them out on the counter. I'd bought a load of random stuff. Peanut butter, chicken, avocado oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, limes, ginger, chili garlic sauce, green onions, poppy seeds, rice, cream, milk, flour, bread, jam, and carrots. She went back through the spices in the cupboard before walking over to me.

"Need any help?" I asked.

"No, I wanted to know where you keep all of your pans."

"They're in the cupboard above the stove. Do you need me to get them?" Her cheeks puffed out.

"I can do it by myself, thank you." She turned around and headed for the dinning table. She grabbed a chair, slid it over to the stove, and climbed onto it. She barely reached it. I laughed as she had to climb onto the stove a bit. She sent me a glare. I decided that it would be better if I didn't watch anymore.

Suddenly I realized that she had no where to sleep.

I dribbled the peanut sauce over the chicken and rice. I placed the dish on the table. I turned to the living room.

"Hey, dinner's ready." Tyrell came out the bedroom.

"So soon? What did you make?"

"Rice, chicken, and peanut sauce."

"Sounds good." He sat down.

"What were you doing?" I asked.

"Making a place for you to sleep." He took a bite.

"Oh? I thought that we'd just sleep together. You know?" He coughed on his food.

"What?"

"Don't you remember?" I fluttered my eyelashes at him. "I'm supposed to be your girlfriend." He rolled his eyes.

"Fine you can have the bed." I grinned and did a fist pump.

"Yes!"
