Sorry for not writing anything for a while, I was diagnosed with endometriosis on wednesday and that hit me pretty hard. I ended up getting a cold yesterday and I had to do school work and chores around the farm. I hope you didn't miss me too much.

I lay on the floor of my bedroom. It was late at night, but I couldn't sleep. I sat up and looked at Adaria. She didn't make a single sound as she slept. She was so still she looked like a doll; perfect and frozen in time. I lay back down. It'd been away since anyone had slept in the same room as me. Maybe that was the reason for my lack of tiredness. In any case I couldn't bring myself to lay still until the morning. I stood and my back crackled, I smiled to myself. I wasn't that old was I? I went to the kitchen, grabbed a glass from the cupboard, and turned. I jumped. Adaria stood there, ruffling her messy hair and yawning.
"You're pretty loud you know that?" She stretched.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you."
"No problem. Would you like me to make you something?" I stepped aside for her.
"Sure, something light though." She nodded and opened the fridge.
"Ahhhh!" She shielded her eyes. "I forgot about the light." I chuckled as she continued to hiss.
"So," She looked up. "do you have any experience with being anything like a secretary?" She gave me a crooked smile.
"I'm afraid that I've only held the position of executer and assassin." My heart twinged. She said that so lightheartedly.
"What do you mean?" I asked hesitantly.
"Oh," She looked away and began to play with her hair again. "I guess I forgot to mention, when I'd come out a failure they didn't really have any reason for keeping me, but then your father took me. He used me as the executor and assassin for his company. I did all the dirty work for him."
"I'm sorry." Was all I could say. She looked up and laughed.
"What are you sorry for? It's not like you had anything to do with it," She looked menacingly at me. "right?" I back up a little. What? Was she...

How much was I going to make this poor man suffer? I began to laugh.
"You're so gullible." He seemed to be frozen in time trying to figure out what was going on. I continued to laugh until he punched me lightly on the arm.
"Stop bullying me!" I pouted slightly.
"But, you make it so fun." His face was bright red. I turned back to the fridge. "What would you like me to make?" I paused a moment before turning to him. "Master?"

That was it. That was the straw that had broken this camel's back. I slammed the fridge door shut. She look surprised.
"Oh, I-I'm sorry was that too much?" She seemed worried. If this is how she played, so could I. I towered over her with both of my hands on either side of her head, she was trapped. Her big eyes stared at me in confusion. I held my glare.

I couldn't read him at all. What was he planning? All I could feel was the presence of malice. What was he going to do to me? If I was lucky he wouldn't be like his father maybe just a blow or two. Nothing too drastic, hopefully.

We stayed there for a few seconds, neither of us moving. She seemed to be afraid. I smiled and she flinched. In an instant she was in my arms. I carried her to my bed and flung her onto it. She lay there in a shocked daze. I crawled on and leaned in close to her face.
"How about we continue this here." I whispered into her ear. I backed up enough to see her face. She had tears streaming down her face. I'd gone too far.
