~ Tyrell
It had been almost two months since we'd met with my parents. At this point mother was calling everyday to help plan the wedding. Adaria was busy trying to find evidence against my father, so far she'd only found a signed document for Earth destruction. We hadn't had anyone disturb us in the office or at home, a large plus in my opinion, but Adaria was becoming anxious. I couldn't tell if it was because of the wedding or because she wasn't having any luck. We were getting married in a week and I hadn't even gotten her a ring. I sighed and put down the tablet that I was reading the news on. Adaria was in the bathroom, she'd been in there for almost forty minutes. I got up and knocked on the bathroom door.
"Adaria, are you alright in there?" The lock clicked and it slowly opened. Adaria stepped out, she was holding a pregnancy test.
"Tyrell," Her voice was quiet and shaking. "I'm pregnant."
I woke several minutes later. I was lying on the bed with a damp washing cloth on my forehead. I sat up. I could hear Adaria talking to someone in the other room. I opened the bedroom door. The receptionist from the first floor, Jensensa Coela was holding Adaria's hand. She looked up when I walked in.
"I should be going Sweety, let me know how it goes." She gave Adaria a hug.
"Thanks Coco." Jensensa walked up to me.
"You may be my boss, but if you hurt her in anyway, I will find you..... sir." She huffed and let herself out. Adaria didn't look at me.
"Are you feeling better?" She asked. "You hit your head rather hard when you... fell." I sat down next to her and held her hand. It was limp and clammy.
"Are you really pregnant?" She nodded. I pulled her into a hug.
"You should really work on slowly introducing something like that. You nearly gave me a heart attack." I laughed. She sniffled and squeezed me.
"So you're not mad or anything?"
"Mad? I'm ecstatic!" I pulled her away. "Is it a boy or a girl?" She laughed.
"I don't know, I only took it to see if I was. I'd have to go to the hospital for that, but since I don't really exist on your planet, I can't really get an appointment."
"Leave that to me." I kissed her on the forehead.
