Over time, Adrik and Agrafena noticed more and more human creatures started showing up. One day Adrik was taking a small group of young stallions to find possible mates from outside their original herd. Agrafena stayed behind and protected the original herd. Adrik caught a glimpse of a white horse in the distance. Adrik approached with the group of young stallions and that is when something sprang up from the ground, capturing the young stallion in the back of the herd. The bag was now dangling from the tree and the stallion kicked and wriggled, struggling to get free from the bag. Adrik noticed the white, "supposedly unicorn mare" wasn't a real unicorn. "it's a trap! Fall back! Fall back now!" Adrik swiftly turned around and reared scaring the young stallions back the way they came. Adrik looked up at the bag that contained the struggling young stallion. "Maybe I could use my magic." Adrik said. His horn began to glow and he concentrated on the rope that had hoisted the bag into the air when he had stepped on it. The rope began to snap, it became thinner and thinner then snapped. The bag came crashing to the ground. Adrik cut open the strange skin bag and helped him out. They both ran out of the wooded area. Adrik did not see the rest of the young stallions and he prayed they had got back safely to the herd.
Five minutes later, Adrik and the young stallion made it safely back. Adrik only noticed two other young stallions he had took with him, but one was missing. Adrik snorted and started to trot around looking for the missing stallion. "Come on, let's go find him." Agrafena said. They both wandered around searching until Adrik saw the missing stallion. The stallion's right leg was caught up in a snare that dangled from a tree. Agrafena could make out five small figures approaching him. Suddenly the stallion stopped struggling and a patch of fur on his back started to turn a red color. It was the human creatures.....
One of the humans pulled out a very thin piece of wood with an arrowhead at the top. They untied the stallion and dragged him away.. "We have to do something!" Agrafena said sadly. Her eyes became teary. "Darling, we can't.... These creatures are getting smarter." Adrik said sniffling slightly. "Over time, they will probably kill us all...."
