Hope

It was finally time to continue our walk but I was sad to leave the place. If only I could live here and if we didn't have to go somewhere dangerous, we could've stayed here.

And I was afraid of my dads threat of ruining this place than anything else.

As we were walking, I suddenly felt hungry.

I haven't eaten for days.

"Emily... I'm starving." I said to her.

"Oh, I have something to eat." She said and rummaged through her sack.

She gave me what looked like a cookie.

"Thanks." I said.

I took a bite.

I was amazed.

It had melting chocolate with melting marshmallows. And I was melting with it!

I somehow felt a bit better after tasting the s'mores cookie and felt like there might be hope.

After I finished eating, I asked Emily, "So, are we climbing the other cliff next?"

"Yeah, we're almost there." She replied.

I just nodded.

I hoped I'd climb better than I did last time.

"Emily I need to tell you something." I started.

"Go ahead."

"So, my dad threatened to destroy the valley. And I saw how it looked like."

"Hmm... Well we're not going to let that happen." Emily said firmly.

"Yeah..."

"Anyways, after we climb the cliff, we will walk in a forest for a bit and then we climb the Zemenine mountain until we reach the top." Emily explained.

"Oh..."

"Yeah."

"Hey, I'm sorry for the make-up incident." Emily said sheepishly.

"Your still thinking about that?" I chuckled.

"Yeah I didn't know that it'll probably ruin your friends career."

"Its fine..." I then remembered.

What was I going to do about school? I was going to graduate this year and I needed to work hard for it!

I stopped walking.

"What's wrong Amelia?" Emily asked.

"I'm just worried about school and my career." I replied.

"Don't wor-" She was cut off when we both noticed a faint blue light.

"Oh no..." She muttered.
