Y/N is in trouble.

"Miss Bae, It's Jiwoon, not Riwoon." Secretary Lee corrects you.

"Oh, Yeah. Sorry, I tend to forget names easily." You chuckle awkwardly.

"Here's your food." Not minding you, Jiwoon places the plates on the table and leaves.

"Miss Bae, You know Jiwoon?" asks Lee Hyun.

"He helped me back to get the drinks. But I am surprised he works both in the cafe and cafeteria." You utter, looking distantly at him working.

The female employees were all squeaking and flirting with him. Black lines appeared on your face. 'He is way too famous among girls.'

"*Sigh* Miss Bae, You better not get acquainted with him." 

His words make you stunned, "Why so?" You couldn't help but ask.

"How do I interpret it?.. Umm, he is weird." Lee Hyun speaks, pushing back his glasses.

Obviously, you were intrigued as well, you lean forwards and ask " Weird? Can you tell me more?"

Lee Hyun nods his head just as he opens his mouth to say something..

*Bzzzz Bzzz*

"Excuse me." Lee Hyun excuses himself, answering the phone.

'He looks normal to me. Well the remark he made to me was quite strange but the weird one would be me who was slamming my head on the table..haha, wait.'

Realizing something, You wince again in frustration. 'What am I even doing? Thinking about this stuff? When I have a bigger headache.'

While you were about to cry, Lee Hyun returns back.

"Miss Bae, Let's finish lunch quickly. The CEO wants us in the office."

Heaving a huge sigh, You nod your head "Yeah." before beginning to eat.

-CEO office-

"Yes, I understand. And Boss, about the reports.."

Lee Hyun and Jin were both engaged in business conversation, which you couldn't properly comprehend since your focus wasn't even there.

Your eyes were glued to the huge wall clock. 

*Tick Tick*

You could no longer hear their voices, only the clock's ticking sound.

"Why is the time going so slow?" You phrase, knitting your brow.

*Ahem*

"Huh?" Hearing the loud throat-clearing sound, you instantly avert your eyes from the clock to the duo.

Lee Hyun was gazing at you with big eyes, signalling you to stay quiet.

'Crap, I spoke my mind.' 

Your gaze lands on the CEO, only to see him unbothered as if he didn't hear a thing.

You purse your lips and pay attention to them, pushing aside all the thoughts and worries.

"Okay, I will submit the summary report by the end of the work shift." Secretary Lee says, taking the pile of documents. 

"No, I want it by six o'clock." Jin voiced sternly.

Not daring to ask for more time, Lee Hyun admits defeat "Yeah, I will get it ready by six."

"Not you." 

"??" You and Lee Hyun share glances with each other.

"Let her handle it." voiced Jin.

"M-Me?" As though electrocuted, goosebumps all over your body. 

"Is there any problem?" Jin stared at you, straight in your eyes, giving you another surge of chills.

You gulp, unable to say another word. 'How am I supposed to when today is my first day? I don't even know what I am supposed to do. '

"Boss, Though I have taught her how to make reports, she still hasn't done it yet. And these are important files, the reports need to be sent to another company. I will give her some basic ones, so she can practise first. "

Lee Hyun tried to persuade him.

'Yeah, Sir. Go ahead. Tell him how incompetent I am right now. I wonder what is going on in his head to give me such an advanced, important task.'

You also wanted to add something in between but fearing the CEO would lash out, you just fought in your head as usual.

"You..Do you think you can't do it? 

You see Jin looking at you with a serious face.

"I ca-"

"I will let you go if you finish it by six."

"Huh?" You widen your eyes, not believing what you just heard. The same went for Lee Hyun as well.

"I won't repeat myself. You both are dismissed." He went back to shoving his head into the computer.

'I can leave early if I finish whatever report by six? I don't know why he is doing this but there is no way I am letting this chance go.'

"Boss, You have to keep your word. If I really finish it by six, You will let me leave work early." You state, eyes filled with determination.

"Are you doubting my words?" Jin tilted his head.

"No, Just wanted to make myself assured. Thank you, Boss. Sir Lee, Let's go. We don't have any time to waste." 

You quickly take the files from Lee Hyun's hands and rush to your office.

Lee Hyun was too stunned to react in time. After a while, he heaved a long sigh and shook his head.

'I don't know why she wants to leave early so badly, but there's no way she can finish going through all the files and writing the long report by six. Even I will struggle hard.'

'Poor Y/N, she looks so determined. How can I tell her? It is a way for the CEO to torture her. I knew he was mad about her making such a request. I feel bad for her, I should probably try my best to aid her.'

Lee Hyun also left the office.

*Tick Tick*

Time passes by, the clock's hand ticks by. 

"So, This is supposed to be written like this?" 

"Oh..I didn't see the mistake there..Can you tell me about it again?"

"Can I highlight this point right here? No? Okay. I got it."

"Sir Lee, I don't quite get this point right here. What does it even mean?"

After dealing with a swarm of questions, Lee Hyun looks at you going through the files and the clock beside him.

'It's already five. I am amazed by the pace she is finishing the files, but the most important part still needs to be done. Shall I do the typing? No, The CEO will ultimately find out that I made the report. I shall just prepare myself to console her. She is really doing well as a newcomer though.'

"Ugh..Finally finished going through this mountain of files." Stretching your hands and back, you put aside the files and look at the time. 'Sh*t, It's already 5:30. I only have half an hour left. I need to rush.'

*Bzzz Bzzz*

"Miss Bae, I am heading to the boss office. If you need something, you can call me anytime. And don't be too hard on yourself, You are doing great even though it's only your first day today. I will talk it out with Boss later if you want."

Lee Hyun uttered, his face filled with worry.

"Thank you, Sir. I will let you know if I need something." 

"Feel free to do so." 

Before leaving, Lee Hyun peeks a little from the door, only to get stunned.

'She..How is she typing so fast?'

-CEO office-

"Put Vice President Cha in charge of the mall project. Any meetings, events related to it, let her handle it." 

Lee Hyun widened his eyes, "B-Boss, Are you sure?"

"What made you make such a remark? You don't think she is eligible enough to do that?" Jin inquires, looking away from the laptop to him.

"I-It's not like I doubt her proficiency in business, It's just the other party." 

Lee Hyun frowns as he proceeds his words " Choi Enterprises may be minor compared to our company, But its footing in Korea has been etched since long ago. Though this alliance was proposed by them, it is equally crucial for us. We have made a huge investment on it."

Jin: "What are you exactly implying?" 

"The project is handled by the CEO of the Choi Enterprises himself, I am not telling you to do it as well. Giving authority directly to the vice-president, they might find it utterly disrespectful. I want you to consider this matter well." Lee Hyun suggests.

He was afraid that the CEO decision might enrage the other party, making them engage in conflict. Since Kim Enterprises became one of the best companies even though it was recently established, many envious rivals were lurking around vying for chances like that to stir up trouble.

"Hyun, I know you are worried for the company, so I will let it go once. But, Let me warn you, Don't question my judgment again." Jin warned, staring at him with cold eyes, as though looking through him.

*Gulp*

"Yeah, I understand. I apologize for my rashness." Lee Hyun bowed deeply.

"I don't care whatever they feel or think. If I chose Cha Yoona, there is a reason for it. It depends wholly on her to convince them, you don't have to concern yourself. You are dismissed." He returns back to work again.

"Yes, Boss." 

*Ding Ding*

Lee Hyun flinched, hearing the clock ringing. He promptly gazed at the time, It was exactly six o'clock. 

'Oh no, The time is up and the CEO is in a foul mood. Miss Bae probably hasn't finished yet. Even if she did, she shall not come right now when he is like this. I should hurry back and advise her not to head here-'

*Slam*

"*Huff* *Huff* I did it!!"
