Becoming A Blacksmith

The crew that lived in the pub that consisted of chef and waitress were devastated by this. Most of them cried, not even remembering to see the building when the fire is gone.

The fire was gone and so was the building it took with it. Arden stood there looking at the dark wall of the formerly known local pub and an idea came to him, 'Why don't I make a new building for them? I could get some profit too!"

He smirked before telling Bam that is sitting on the floor beside him, "Hey, why don't we start over? I'll give some money to make the building. It would be better than before!"

Bam raised his head and looked at Arden, a mere second passes as he and Arden made eye contact. Arden avoided his eyes and said, "Well, if you don't wa…"

"I want, please help us! The other would be happy too. Whatever you want, we will try our best to give it to you!" His words were interrupted by Bam's.

Arden smirked once again. It took a few seconds before that smirk turns into a smile. He then proceeds to make his way past Bam and went to the door and was about to leave.

Before he closes the door, Arden said with his back facing Bam, "Wait for me in 1 month! I will give you the money needed!"

He then closes the door and the next thing that happens to him is his own mind trying to figure out how to get that much of money. From the smirk, he had on his face, to him sighing multiple time on the dark streets.

Without nowhere to go and only the room he would have at the inn, he began searching for a solution in the dark night. That's when Arden passes the bright light emitted from a building on his left.

When he turned his attention there, he could see the blacksmith society building with the lights it produced from every single window on every single floor.

He smirked before thinking to himself, 'Here is the solution! I just need to be a blacksmith considering I have some skills!'

He laughed at the empty street before proceeding to enter the building. His badge was always with him and he never bothers to take it off from his clothes and just left it there.

The guard guarding the entrance seeing this immediately bowed to him as he passes by. He went straight to the purple-haired girl in the reception area and asked her.

"Hey, you remember me?" The girl was busy doing the paper works on her first day of work. But when she saw Arden, she just smiled hiding the tiredness she got and responded.

"Of course I did! What can I help you today?" She asked politely and Arden just smiled back at her before answering the question.

"I want to take the test now if it's possible!" She was not shocked about this, but just responded with.

"Yea, I'll take you to the room! You would be the last to be tested because it's already this late" He was not confused at first but when he did some basic maths on his head, he just thought about it.

'This girl was hired today, there's no possible way for her to open the test for blacksmiths on her first day at work!' Unfortunately for him, it was the truth.

Because soon he found out, he was inside a room with a table and a chair. While in front of the table and chair was 3 man half asleep, their tiredness is visible with naked eyes.

Arden quietly approaches the chair where he was supposed to sit and place himself there. At the paper in front of him was a piece of paper filled with many questions that he weirdly knows all the answers.

It was a bunch of simple questions that even newbie blacksmith could because it's related to common sense all human have. You need to have at least a common sense to finish the paper.

It took Arden a little bit more than a minute to finish the question and after he was done. He takes the paper and stands up before approaching the 3 half-asleep men.

He placed the paper in front of them before quietly whispering to them so they could wake up from their sleep. It took him less than a minute to wake them up quietly and once they were awake, all of them shouted at Arden while still rubbing his eyes.

"Why did you wake us up in our sleep! Whatever, we will see what is your answers to the questions!" They take the paper and take turns grading it.

As soon as it was one of their turns and they get a hold on the paper, their jaws dropped and their eyes widened. All they could muster is, "Woah, this is good, you are a good blacksmith, who are you if I could ask?"

Arden just smiled and did not say anything other than point his finger at his badge. The 3 men looked at it before realizing what it was and they quickly get to the floor and knelt to him.

"Sorry, sir for being rude to you! Please let us go this time" Arden smirked before bowing at them and responded back.

"Sorry to bother you in your sleep, please help this junior and teach me senior's technique" They quickly stood up and their arms are extended to Arden.

"Hey hey, it's our fault, we will teach you and ask everybody else to pass their knowledge to you!" Arden smiled upon hearing this and straighten himself up from that bowing position.

He then makes his way toward the door and looked back at them, "What are you waiting for? Let's do it now!"

The 3 blacksmiths looked at each other for a few seconds before all of them start getting up and running after Arden. When they were in the lobby, the 3 of them split up to different locations.

One could be seen running up the stair and one could be seen approaching the reception. The only one that couldn't be seen by Arden is gone from there.

The three of them left Arden standing alone at the lobby and went to do their things. With his positive and righteous mind, Arden just said to himself, 'Maybe they are just preparing something for me? I'll go sit at a bench then and wait for them'

After this, he went to the nearest bench and sat there waiting for them. Arden was a little bit bored while waiting for the 3 people to come back and accidentally fell asleep.

He woke up finding himself at the same position and saw countless blacksmiths staring right at him. He was terrified when seeing their face but quickly regain his calmness, even though not fully restored.

All he could muster were, "Uh, so are we starting now?"

After he said this, all the blacksmiths staring at him were gone in an instant and he found his eyes following a straight line to the stair with the blacksmiths as a fence and bowing at him.

'I felt like a royal seeing them doing this, maybe I should ask them to stop? Yea I will do that' Arden made his decision in his mind and told every blacksmith there while his body constantly turning around.

"Don't be so formal, I just took a test and do not have the skill to be treated like this" That's when he could hear the familiar voice from the other side of the line.

"Sir, may I guide you to your work quarter?" He looked at that source of the voice and it was the receptionist herself. He just nodded to answer her question and followed her guide.

As he is going up the stairs, he could see almost all the work quarters on every floor were empty because the light was not turned on. There are only some of the quarters filled with people.

That's when he realized something, 'All of these blacksmiths gathered behind me and wanted to pass down their knowledge on me, I would be so grateful…'

As he was already on the last floor of the building, a thought came to him, 'where is the place we are heading to? She said it would be my workplace in this building, but this is already on the last floor'

It was his work quarter, right beside the headmaster is his own workplace. What's most important is, there is a door covering the building!

This meant his workplace was a little bit special from the other people. He was also given the chance to enter his workplace first, and he kindly accepts that.

When he was inside, he could see the countless type of tools he has used in the past. He was amazed looking at the room and decided to examine the equipment by touching them.

"This will be my room for my visit this time!" Someone behind him said this.
