A Warm Welcome

The Convoy 14 peacefully arrived at Base C5, the wounded recruits were carefully guided through the base. The C5 has a large field in the middle as the other structures built around it. There, several recruits from different Shuttles are scattered. Most of them noticed the arrival of what's left of the Shuttle 14 and looked horrified, some are thanking for arriving at the base safely. "Everyone's looking at us..." Chirlin whispered as she looked around. "Well, we just crawled up from hell anyway" Kirin said. "Lonara will gather you all in this field. So stay here, I will talk to her. You guys, help them" Kirin instructed the remaining soldiers to guard them. With that, Kirin walked alone. She's passing through the recruits while being looked at, but she gave no heed. "I appreciate that you liked my beauty but I and my guys have been through a lot! So stop staring at me!" She shouted as she walks. As she gets closer to the main building, a soldier approached her. "Ma'am! Lonara wa-" "Yeah, yeah, yeah that's what I'm going for! Shoo!" Kirin interrupted him and swayed her hand to tell him to go away. The soldier then, walked away.

Kirin walked up the ten steps of stairs of the building, there was a big platform in between the stairs. "Welcome back, Miss Kirin!" The two soldiers guarding the doorless entrance of the building greets her. Their improved and thicker armor showed them that they are Elite Guards, Lonara's personal bodyguards, they are also wielding their modified Slayers. "Is Lonara in her office?" Kirin asked as she passed through the guards. "Yes, ma'am!" The guard on the right responded loudly. Now Kirin was standing in the middle of the lobby. In front of her was the Reception counter, on its right lies two elevators and a hallway on its left. On her sides are both doorless entrances and are also guarded by Elite Guards. Kirin took a deep breath of relief and approached the Receptionist. "Welcome back, Miss Kirin!" A lively receptionist greets her. "Hey, Lonara asked me to see her" Kirin winked at her before heading to the elevators. "I will notify her!" The receptionist said then went for her microphone. "Elevators, elevators..." Kirin mumbled as she called the elevator down. Then suddenly her eyes made a noise which startled her, then Lonara's voice followed after. "Kirin..." She called. "You damned cow! Don't just speak like that all of the sudden!" Kirin stomped on the ground in annoyance. "Cow?!" Lonara was audibly embarrassed. The elevator opened and four people are in the elevator. Kirin walked in. "Them milkers you got, woman. Last Thursday I helped my father milk a cow and theirs are just as big as yours" Kirin said, making it awkward on the elevator. "What are you saying?! Where are you right now?!" Lonara shouted and they all can hear her.

"I'm on my way up there" Kirin winked on a girl, which made her awkwardly smile. "Let me measure them so I can compare you for real" She said. "No, shut up!" Lonara shouted then the call cuts. Kirin giggled on her own. The elevator took ten seconds to reach the floor of Lonara's office. Once the door opens, they all walked out of the cabin. It was already Lonara's office as soon as they step out. Kirin taps the Elite Guard's shoulder on her left. "Ma'am..." He nodded. "Where is she?" Kirin faced the guard. "I'm over here" Lonara's voice came from the other room. Kirin then walked to the other room and saw her looked very nervous as she was studying a map on a table. "Lonara!" Kirin shouted and opened her arms. "Oh, Kirin..." Lonara sighed. "Were you worried about me?" Kirin asked with a smug. "Of course I am!" Lonara slams the table, her voice wavered. Kirin was surprised and her smile faded. "W-Well, I'm fine. And thank you" Kirin nodded and sighed. There was an awkward silence between them. Kirin took a chair and sat in front of her. "Well? Are you going to meet the recruits or what? Also, what are you doing?" Kirin asked and noticed the map. She saw a circle encircling the large field of sands, where they were assaulted. "N-Nothing..." Lonara took the map away and folded it. "Let's just go. I don't want them to keep waiting..." Lonara was about to leave the room. "Wait..." But Kirin stopped her. She looked at her curiously. "They can wait longer, I have something to tell you. Sit down" Kirin looked and sounded serious, which Lonara rarely sees. Her unusual behavior made her curious and took a chair and sat in front of her.

"I guess I need to be serious now, huh?" Kirin weakly laughed. "What?" Lonara sounded very curious. "The Narukh'za, Lonara" Kirin looked at her. "Y-Yes. I heard that their lord came and engaged you" Lonara nodded. "They have stolen and built a portal. They have expanded, Lonara. Narukh'za is getting stronger and stronger" Kirin said. "Now, they wanted the coordinates instead. The coordinates of the Earth. I'm afraid that they will start another war with us if we don't give them the coordinates" She added. "We are not backing down, Kirin. They will never touch the Earth" Lonara comforted her. "We will fight them with all our might if they ever made war with us" She added. "In fact, they are afraid of us, they just rely on their counts in hopes of killing our morale" They both giggled. "Well? How about the Earth?" Kirin asked. "That planet might be filthy, but they are humans just like us. I believed that they have just recently started living and they are in the early stages of life" Lonara said. "They have yet to made a peaceful world" She added. "I'm getting a hint of you wanting to help them" Kirin gave her a curious look. "Yes..." Lonara nodded, which made Kirin happy. "That's what I like it on you, Lonara. You're kind" Kirin smiled. "Well? When are you planning on visiting that planet?" Kirin asked quickly. "I'm not so sure. When we have control of everything here, we can try to send some expeditions there" Lonara thinks deeply. "How about I lead them?" Kirin sounded very excited. "Sure. I will leave the responsibilities to you about the Earth" Lonara nodded. Kirin didn't expect her to agree so quick and was very happy. "Thank you!" Kirin grinned widely.

"I'm going to take a visit to the Krygstek and ask if they can make us a translator device. Their language is different compared to ours" Kirin said. "Yes, I will grant you that. But first, we must meet with the recruits now" Lonara said, then they all headed down. Lonara alerted the soldiers through her transmitters. On the outside. "Recruits! Form a line!" A soldier walked towards the platform and stood in front of the recruits. They all looked up to him as they hurried to make a line. Five rows of ten recruits in column stands before him. "It's starting!" Chirlin looked very happy. Niela and her went together in line with Terra and the other Then Lonara and Kirin, along with their guards, replaced the soldier. Lonara quietly looked at all of the recruits from left to right. Amazed at the counts, she smiled but quickly focused. "Citizens! People of Kryok!" She called for them. "Our homeworld is still under threat of the Zakana... Our brave warriors did their duties, to protect our home from these monsters... They died in combat, with honor... Yet, despite our great efforts, the Zakanas are still raging within this planet! And we ask you, Citizens of Kryok, to stand beside us and avenge our fallen warriors! Train hard! And swear your lives to protect our home!" Lonara spoke in front of the recruits. "Now! I ask you, Citizens of Kryok, Are you willing to put your lives in line in order to protect the weak and our beloved homeworld?!" Lonara asked the recruits. "Yes! Ma'am!" They all responded at the same time with great confidence and energy. "Serving under my command is not a child's play! No soldiers of the Arkula have never been through a lot! You will train hard! Force your limits! You will be tasked! You will be sent into battles! You will face the Zakana! And you will KILL!" Lonara shouted. "You will be forced out of your habits! Your lifestyle will change! Now I ask you once again!" Lonara said.

"Are you willing to join our cause and serve under my command?!" Lonara asked. "Yes, Ma'am!!!" The recruits' response was better than the first one. Lonara looked at every face of the recruits, then nodded. "Then! I welcome you to the Arkula Heavenly Forces!" Lonara opened her arms and the recruits happily cheered. "You are now an official member of the Arkula! People will treat you high! They will rely on you for protection! Promise me that you will NOT abuse these powers and exploit our people! And I'll promise you that you will be respected enough!" Lonara finished her introduction. The recruits sounded really happy, but Kirin stepped forward and looked at Lonara. "I didn't think you would do a mass approval..." Kirin smiled and faced the recruits. "As you may have noticed, my Shuttle has faced trouble when returning here... And most didn't survive...." Kirin said in a sad tone. Everyone mourned for them. "Their bravery and their willingness will be remembered..." Kirin closed her eyes in sadness. "However," Then looked up and smiled. "There are ones who survived, and I would like to proudly call their names" Kirin then started calling their names. "Niela Harvon!" She started with Niela. "Niela! She's calling us!" Chirlin happily jumps. "Y-Yeah..." Niela looked happy as well. "Niela, come up here if you may!" Kirin called her. "Wha-no way!" Niela was quickly embarrassed. "Go!" Chirlin pushed her and she was forced to walk up the platform. "Chirlin Harvon!" Then goes for Chirlin. She walked up and bowed to them. "Terra Luyane!"

Kirin called for Terra, she slowly walked up the platform and slightly bowed. "Sterling Juu'no!" Kirin called another survivor. Lonara was surprised to hear the name. The girl had Narukh'za features, waist-length black hair, red eyes, and pale skin. She used to wear a ruined standard dress for the recruits, but they were replaced with another one by the soldiers. She walked up the platform and slightly bowed. Due to her appearance, people started to whisper. This led her to explain. "My name is Sterling Juu'no. I was born on the planet Xatholorna, but my parents chose to send me here at Kryok as a child and live my whole life here in peace" She introduced. Xatholorna is the planet where the Narukh'za resides. "You're that child before..." Lonara whispered. "Yes..." Sterling looked over her shoulder and nodded. "And lastly, Marve Sakath!" Kirin called the last survivor. He went up last to the platform. He has wavy gray hair and matching eye color. He was wearing the replacement clothes for the recruits. "These people standing beside me bravely fought and withstood the Zakana attack" Kirin proudly said. "Especially these two siblings here!" Kirin went between Niela and Chirlin and laid her hands on their shoulders. "Despite not having a real experience, these two showed me that they are capable of learning how to aim and shoot at the enemies!" She winked at the recruits. "If these two can do it, so are you!" She shouted. The people, including the other survivors, applauded at the two. Niela shyly bowed while Chirlin happily waved. "You're gonna be having so much reputation due to this. You're lucky" Kirin smiled at her recruits.

"That ends my part, Lonara. I'll leave it to you now" Kirin said. Lonara nodded and walked forward. "That ends our gathering! Next part will be to enter this building behind us to get you started!" Lonara dismissed the recruits. "Hey, Lonara. Since I don't have any squad I can actually command, how about I lead these guys?" Kirin whispered. "Your call" Lonara briefly responded. Kirin giggled and winked at them before walking back to the building. "She's gonna be our leader?!" Chirlin looked excited. "Yes. Go with her now" Lonara nodded with a smile. "Yay!!!" Chirlin cheered and ran to catch up with Kirin. "Chirlin, don't run!" Niela scolded but she got into the building already. "Damn it, kid..." Niela walked in a hurried pace. "Niela, wait!" Terra walked with her, then the two followed them in silence. "To think she will personally lead us as a squad, what such honor!" Terra said to Niela. "Y-Yes..." She nodded. "Huh? Why do you sound so lame? I mean, not that lame but it's Lonara's closest friend we're talking about!" Terra said. "Yes, I know that... I'm just a bit nervous, I guess..." Niela shyly responded. "There's nothing to be nervous about! She's very carefree compared to the rest of the military! We will most likely be more relaxed than the rest of the recruits!" Terra said. "You think so?" Niela asked. "Yes!" Terra nodded twice. "I've been wishing to meet her when I was finally allowed to join the military. It was enough to make me a soldier, but then she became my supervisor and leader! Ahh!" Terra covered her face in excitement. "You sure are lucky, huh?" Niela smiled. "We ARE!" Terra looked at the other two.

"Hey, hey! Sterling!" Terra called her, surprising her. "You said you're from Xatholorna, right?! So amazing! You look very much like them!" Terra was amazed, while Sterling was confused and happy. "Can you tell us what happened?! We're on the same squad anyway, so it's fine right?!" Terra asked as Sterling stared at her. "Uh, if that was too much..." Terra lowered her energy. "Ah! No, no...." Sterling waved her hands. "It's just..." Then she looked at the ground. "It's the first time I ever had someone compliments for... looking like a Narukh'za..." Then she smiled at Terra. "Oh? The people might be afraid of you, that's why! You do look very scary, but I can feel that you're actually kind!" Terra said. "Right?" She stopped walking to face Sterling. "Ah... Yeah... I do look scary but I'm not a bad person..." She answered. "See?!" Terra looked at Marve. "Ah, yes..." Marve nodded. "How about you, Marve? How are you doing?" Terra asked as they continue to walk. "I'm doing fine now. I recovered enough from that disaster" Marve responded. "I see! It's good that we are all doing fine!" Terra smiled and focused on the way. "Miss Terra, your leg..." Sterling called. "Ah, I'm doing fine! I can walk just fine, see? I'm just slow though, haha" Terra shyly laughed. "And please don't call me Miss!" Terra said. "O-Okay..." Sterling nodded. "You're probably older than me too!" Terra said. "I'm seventeen. If I recall correctly, you are fifteen, yes?" Sterling said. "Right!" Terra nodded. "How old are you, Marve?" Terra looked at him to ask. "Sixteen..." He responded. "And you, Niela?" Terra turned to Niela. "Seventeen..." She responded. "So I and Chirlin are the youngest!" Terra giggled. Sterling was surprised and curious about Chirlin's age. She gathered her courage up and looked at Niela. "How old was she again?" She asked. "A-Ah! She's just seven..." Niela shyly smiled. "So young..." Sterling can't believe her age.

"It's Kirin's doing, huh?" Sterling giggled. "Ahaha... That's right..." Niela giggled along. "Oh, yeah! I was there when she picked you up!" Terra looked at Niela. "Imagine being able to shoot by just watching from the Internet!" She laughed. "Over here!" Chirlin called them from the elevator. "She went up here!" She shouted. "She's pretty lively, huh" Terra smiled. "And very cute too!" She added. "She may look cute, but she's a tomboy..." Niela sounded disappointed. "She is?!" Terra, as well as the two, was surprised. "She dislikes skirts and even a bit of revealing clothes and..." Niela remembered during their encounter with the Narukh'za. "She drooled on that Narukh'za lord..." Niela looked very down. "What a silly child" Terra giggled. "Hurry, hurry!" Chirlin impatiently hops on the elevator. "Can't you see she's wounded?" Niela scolded Chirlin. "A-Ah, sorry" She quickly apologized. "Geez, Niela, it's fine. I also feel the same way, I would be running with her if I didn't hurt my leg" Terra calms her down. Once they all boarded the elevator, Chirlin pressed the button to go up. Then she realized she was standing beside Sterling and went near her sister to hide. They noticed her. "It's alright, Chirlin. She don't bite!" Niela pats her head. "Shut up! Don't treat me as a child!" Chirlin slaps her hand away. Then she peeked at Sterling, who was waiting for her to look. "H...Hi..." Chirlin greets as she remained peeking. "Hello..." Sterling smiled. "She grew up here at Kryok anyway! So she's a good person!" Terra said to Chirlin. "Y-Yeah..." She nodded. "Narukh'za's are tall, aren't they?" Terra looked up to Sterling. She was the tallest among them. Terra was the smallest if Chirlin wasn't included. "We are the same kind, but why do we differ on appearance?" Terra asked. Niela sparked up to answer.

"It's part of the history, Terra. When Lonara declared war on Narukh'za, they were forcibly driven out of Kryok and they had no other option but to reside in the Xatholorna at the time. They suffered greatly due to the planet's poisonous gas. The weak died and the strong lives on. Those who got used to the gas changed into pale skins" Niela said. "Wow, you know a lot!" Terra was amazed. "I just studied..." Niela scratched her head. Finally, the doors opened and the cool breeze of the air-conditioner of the office hits them. "Miss Kirin's on the room right here, recruits" The guard on their left pointed at the room beside him. They all entered the room and saw Kirin making a coffee. "Sit down guys..." Kirin said without looking. They quietly grabbed a chair and sat surrounding the table. "So! You're officially my squad now" Kirin happily announced. Terra giggled on her seat. "You're lucky. I don't give a damn about their procedures in the military. But I can make sure you will grow up just like the other soldiers as well" She added. "Say, do you want to name our squad?" She asked, everyone was surprised. "Doesn't the military decide that?!" Chirlin shouted. "You're like, my personal squad now, get it? You belong to me and the military can't touch you nor command you without my permission" Kirin turned to wink at them then focused back. "If that is so, then it will be Marsterravon!" Terra suggested. "What a long name!" Marve didn't sound so convinced. "If you listened carefully, it's our names combined!" Terra winked. "Marsterravon. Marve for Mar, Ster for Sterling, my name was mixed into her name and Harvon for the last!" She said.

"You easily built that up?" Kirin laughed. "Haha! Yes!" Terra laughed along. "Well? Do you want the name she gave?" She asked the others. They all looked at each other. "If you think it's too childish, it's okay to change it" Terra smiled. "Well, how about this? We start from this name, then when we get stronger, we will change name" Marve suggested. "Sounds fine for me" Sterling agreed. "Yeah, I guess that can do" Niela agreed as well. "You're the elders so I don't think you need my opinion" Chirlin agreed(?) as well. "Terra?" Marve called her. "Yes, I'm fine with that!" Terra nodded. "Well, that will be your name then... The Marsterravon Squad!" Kirin laughed. She finally finished and approached the table. "We are no ordinary Arkulan squad for we are unique! For having a Narukh'za here!" Kirin winked. "Aha..." Sterling laughed a bit. "The people wanted our kind to unite and we will be the one who will bring that unity!" Kirin dropped the coffee on the table and puts her hand up the air. "If only we have a Krygstek person here, that would be more effective..." Kirin sadly giggled. "But that's alright! Now, what I want you to do right now is to practice your aims, simple as that. Niela and Chirlin are exempted, you already did a good job taking down Scratchers back there" Kirin said. "You still can go with them if you want, though. You have nothing to do today but practice your aim" Kirin said. "I wish I could have brought myself together back there and help you guys shoot" Terra said. "Get going now. Go and find the shooting range area, explore the whole base" Kirin said. "What about you?" Terra asked.

"Lonara will be here, we still had to talk. So, go on now" Kirin said. "Alright!" Terra stood up, the others also stood up from their seats and fixed the chairs. "I'll be staying here with Lonara. Once you're done, come back here and I will lead you to your rooms so you can rest" She said, with that, they all left the room. "By the way, tell the soldiers that you are under my care, and they will give you everything you need for the practice" Kirin shouted. They all responded and went down. "She really doesn't care about the procedures, huh" Terra sighed. "I thought she will go with us and one by one handle us and watch us train" She sounded disappointed. "That's a 'carefree' person to you" Chirlin giggled. "Isn't she worried that we will be performing poorly?" Terra asked. "Drill sergeants are there to help us" Sterling said. "Ah, yeah those guys. Why are you using the Earth's term for them? Plus squads are form right away and their squad leaders are the ones going to train them. So, I don't think they are just gonna accept us in if we have Miss Kirin on standby" Terra responded. "We can just say that she has an important meeting with Miss Lonara and left us in their care" Marve said. "She kinda did say that, right?" He asked. "You're right..." Terra nodded. When the elevator opened, they saw Lonara waiting at the opposite side. "Ah, if it isn't Kirin's recruits!" Lonara smiled at them. "Where is she though? Why are you heading off alone?" She asked. "Ah... She said that she still needs to talk to you" Niela said. "I see... Where are you headed then?" Lonara asked as she enters the cabin. "We're going for target practice!" Chirlin answered. "Really? The recruits are not in that stage yet, though. Did Kirin tasked you to do this?" Lonara was curious.

"Y-Yes, she said we should practice our aim, stuff like that..." Niela nodded. Lonara sighed and thinks. "You're gonna miss out a lot of the recruits' training if this continues... I will talk to Kirin about this..." Lonara sighed, they sympathized with her. "Yes, ma'am..." Niela nodded slightly. "Then, we got to get going now..." Niela said and they headed out. "Alright, good luck..." Lonara nodded and went up to her office. Upon opening the elevators, "Lonara?" Kirin called her out. "Kirin" Lonara replied. "Come here, girl. We ain't done yet" Kirin said. Lonara went to the same room and sat in front of Kirin. "You should be watching over your recruits, Kirin! If this continues, they will never be a proper soldier!" Lonara said. "Never be a proper soldier, huh?" Kirin looked at the ceiling with a straight face. "I'm very upset that you still don't know a lot about me, Lonara... After all the years we've been hanging out..." Kirin said. Lonara was surprised by her abrupt change. "Either you really don't care, since I'm always like this. Or you're just really not into making friends. Either way makes me sad but let's not talk about that..." Kirin sighed. "Kirin..." Lonara was suddenly saddened. "I'm just gonna tell you this, Lonara. Not all the times I always mess around... I love those guys, I thought of changing myself for them. But right now I wanted to talk to you so I just left them to the other squads temporarily" She said. "Don't worry, they will become fine soldiers, in a short time, compare to the rest of our recruits" She added. "We will become a unique and elite squad of the Arkula" She winked at her. "That's good, then... I'm glad that you are not what most of the people think you are..." Lonara nodded. "I was kind of wrong about you, too. I'm really sorry..." She apologized.

"Well... Thinking about it, I was just good at hiding my other personality. So, It's fine I guess, it was partly my doing..." Kirin giggled. "Well, let's not become sad now, huh? I want to talk about the Earth more" She said. "Ah, of course..." Lonara kind of expected it. "So... What I said before about going for the Krygstek, I'm serious about that" Kirin said. "The humans spoke a different language there on Earth, so we barely managed to communicate with them" She added. "Yeah, they do. So-" Lonara suddenly realized something. "Did you... went there as well?" She asked. "Yeah, I snuck into one and went there with some guys" Kirin winked at her. Lonara scratched her head in annoyance. "You could have convinced me and I would change my mind..." She said. "I'm not so sure about that" Kirin winked and sticks out her tongue. "You? will change mind? Hah, you won't trick me, woman. Once you got the opportunity, you will never let it go" She said. "I'm telling you..." Lonara shook her head. "Whatever, it happened... So, will you let me visit the Krygstek?" Kirin asked. "How about your recruits?" Lonara raised her brows. "They're gonna come with me, of course! We will kill Zakanas on our way as their training" Kirin winked. "Training?!" Lonara was angered. "Yeah! Training, my girl! Sometimes it's best to dive into battle rather than shooting some woods with red paints or one resembling a Zakana!" Kirin responded. "For me, it's the best way to train. You will never know the capability of the soldiers until they face the real enemies" She added. "I'm gonna be honest with you, I have witnessed some of our soldiers panicking at battles!" Kirin said, surprising Lonara.

"I saw all of them train, they look all so serious! They're gonna be a fucking soldier one day and shoot some Zakana and defend our home!" Kirin started to angry. "Language, Kirin..." Lonara scolded her but was ignored. "Then finally, they are out of training and finally became a real soldier. Seeing how brave and strong they are, I quickly relied on them completely, I didn't worry about no single thing! I believed in you and them! But you know what?!" Kirin leaned closer to Lonara. "Turns out they're cowards!" Kirin shouted. "You CAN'T insult our soldiers like that!" Lonara stood up loudly. "Yes, they ARE cowards!" Kirin stood up as well. "Remember Ridna?" Kirin whispered angrily. Lonara's eyes widen as she suddenly recalls something. Ridna is the planet between the Kryok and the Zakana's planet. It has brown lands, similar to Mars. It was supposedly Arkula's second planet. "Yeah, no Kryok people, nor the fucking Narukh'za or the Krygstek would ever forget about that" Kirin said. Lonara was starting to be afraid of her. "I was there, Lonara" Kirin said in Lonara's surprise. "Y-You were?!" She asked. "Yes. The Ridna Disaster" Kirin's artificial eyes move as she recalls the event. The Ridna Disaster is what they named after an event that dealt a crushing blow to the Arkula's reputation and their pride that happened ten years ago. Due to severe disobedience and lack of courage and trust, the planet falls into the Zakana's control, killing hundreds of thousands of civilians. "I was there. I volunteered myself to the military there and they gladly accepted me, regardless of who I am. When we knew the Sector Zen was where they landed, they all panicked" Kirin's eyes projected a cartoon portrayal of panic. "'They are invading, they are invading' One of the soldiers cried. So pathetic, but I considered it as a normal reaction, so I didn't care much" Kirin sighed.

Her eyes then projected cartoon soldiers firing at monsters, in addition to sounds. "All things are under control until three of our bases and ten towns are destroyed" Kirin said while maintaining the projection. The projection suddenly changed into dead people of the Ridna. "Kirin!" Lonara was forced to back off. Kirin slammed the table with her fist, her face gone mad. "They became out of control, I'm not only talking about the Zakana here but our soldiers as well!" She shouted as she keeps showing pictures of what happened to the planet. "The soldiers became no different from the civilians, except they have guns on themselves. They flee, and flee, and flee. They prioritized their fear of death rather than obeying their commands. The military tried to commence a mass evacuation, but they are too disorganized to properly maintain one under control. They all failed and another count of soldiers died! And people started to call out for help in every fucking planet they can reach! Xatholorna, Kryok, Valorna, hell even the uninhabited planets!" Kirin then realized she was going too far and relaxed herself. She turned off the projection and looked at Lonara. "...There I realized that the trainings you do here are wasted, they all died without even serving the military properly" Kirin closed her eyes and sighed. Then she became embarrassed. "So... will you let me go to the Krygstek?" She asked as she averts her eyes. Lonara heavily sighed as she picks her chair up and sit back up. "You can go..." Lonara replied with another sigh, she placed both of her elbows on the table and rubs her face. "Thank you... And I'm sorry..." Kirin apologized. "I'm not saying that what you do here is entirely wrong... Just... make sure the recruits don't turn into those soldiers back in Ridna..." Kirin said as she stands up. "I know..." Lonara weakly responded and she placed both of her arms on the table and rested her head on them.

Kirin regretted what she did, she approached Lonara from behind and hugged her. "I'm sorry... It's already a tough job leading the whole people by yourself... But I promise you that I will change so I can help you..." Kirin comforted. "I will make sure the Arkula will never face such disgracing events anymore" She said as she stands up. Lonara raised her head and looked at her. Her eyes are close to tears. "Don't cry now, girl. You know we can do this! You're not alone!" Kirin taps her shoulder. "Yes, of course..." Lonara nodded with a smile. Kirin nodded back and left the room. "You don't deserve them big milkers if you're a wimp!" Kirin jokingly said. "Oh, shut up..." Lonara got no energy to shout back and just shook her head with a smile.
