New Friend

"I'm so sorry about this, Miss Violet..."

"It's fine Mister Granger! It's the least I could do after you took care of me. Besides, Harith is so cute when we washed him! Aren't you Harith? You cute little fluff ball!"

Guinevere giggled as she carefully dries Harith's hair. Harith purred.

"Meow! I would only bathe if Miss Violet bathes me!" Harith pouted.

"Don't get cocky kid, or I won't share my box of doughnuts with you. No toys too!" Granger taunted.

Harith hissed and hid behind Guinevere.

He really was a difficult child. After the two oriental couple, Ling and Wanwan as well as Miss Natalia and Mister Helcurt left the west court, Granger chased after Harith throughout the whole castle. They totally made a ruckus.

Harith only bathed when Guinevere interfered. She used her magic to conjure a cat laser, she played with Harith until the little Leonin was tired of running. And that's when she brought Harith to the bathtub and slowly introduced him to the warm water.

"You see Mister Granger, you've been bathing dear Harith the wrong way. Leonins love warm baths, they're somewhat similar to cats, but you guys have been bathing him with cold water." Guinevere said a matter-of-factly.

Granger nodded and wrote it all down in his notes.

"I see...How did you know all this?"

"I have read about Leonins once, back when I was still a student at the academy..."

"You have an amazing memory, Miss Violet."

"Well, I was born with talent." Guinevere flipped her hair and smiled at him.

"Hmm..then if you're available, you could help me everytime Harith needs a thorough bath?" Granger asked.

"Please Miss Violet! I don't like Emo Grangey bathing me with cold water! And next time I will catch that red dot!" Harith mumbled and yawned. He was now very drowsy due to Guinevere's head pats.

'Grangey? Oh wow, his nickname is the polar opposite of him. So cute! Does Mister Alucard also calls him that? Ohoho but I prefer them calling themselves 'Honey', 'Babe' or 'Love'!' She mused.

"Awwe! What a cutie~ Sure, just message and I'll come when I'm free!" Guinevere smiled. The two adults exchanged numbers.

Harith purred as he fell asleep on Guinevere's arms. Harith snuggled in her chest. Granger saw it.

"Oh sorry, Harith is very clingy."

Granger said and gently grabs Harith from Guinevere. They both tucked the little boy in his designated room. Guinevere noticed the sun was already setting down.

"Oh my! It's almost dark. Apologies, Mister Granger but I have to go." Guinevere stood up and went towards the sofa where her satchel was.

'Hopefully no one looked at the insides!' She was reminded of what she bought earlier.

"Let me accompany you, M'lady!"

"Oh no it's fine! I can handle myself."

"I insist! There will be a lot of drunkards in the street and I know your capabilities well but I can't rest knowing you went home alone, Miss Violet."

Guinevere couldn't argue since it was rude to reject a chivalrous offer. It wouldn't hurt to let Mister Granger walk her home. Besides, she didn't want to punch a drunkard today like she usually does when she goes home late.

"Thank you for today, Mister Granger! I had a lot of fun!"

Guinevere laughed , remembering all the stuff that happened today. This was one bloody eventful day.

"No, I should be the one thanking you! You made the impossible happen; Harith taking a bath willingly!" Granger laughed.

"And please, drop the 'Mister', we're friends now. Also, I'm not that older than you." He added.

'Oh my! I'm considered as a friend with the person I ship with Mister Alucard! What an upgrade! Thank you fujoshi gods!' She mentally cheered!

"Okay, Grangey Granger!" Guinevere stuck her tongue out and giggled, "If that's the case, then by all means, stop calling me Miss Violet too. Guinevere or Gwen is fine."

Granger's eyes crinkled. He was either smiling or cringing underneath his mask. Guinevere didn't think much of it, since she cemented her spot as his friend (and not a killing target).

'As long as he won't kill me hehe.'

"I'll be going now. See you soon...Guine!" He said and turned around as he waved.

She shivered at the nickname but didn't bother to correct him. Guinevere closed the tall double doors of his the Swan castle and skipped happily towards her room, not knowing there were two people gaping at her. She set up the poster on her closet.

On the terrace of Swan Castle, Odette was stopping herself from squealing and kept slapping her husband, Lancelot, who was looking at his younger sister like she grew two heads.

"NOOOOOOOO!!!"

The Swan Castle was in uproar! A pirate captain drunkard almost got a heart attack from the sudden noise.
