CHAPTER 12

At this in Xia Manor;

Xia Qingyue had already eaten her breakfast and was ready to the pond for her training. She went there to practice her Frozen Heart Arts. Years ago she was secretly recruited by the Frozen Cloud Asgard and became a disciple of theirs. The Frozen Heart Arts of the Frozen Cloud Asgard was an ice based cultivation arts and worked when ones emotions were locked away.

As she was going to leave her father Xia Hongyi suddenly called her.

"Qingue dear are you going to the pond?" He asked.

"Yes father I am going there" She said in a calm voice though her face was I've cold.

"Alright be careful out there" He said in a kid d and loving voice.

Xia Qingyue nodded her head and left for the pond.

When she reached the pond she saw something that she has never seen.

She saw a man sitting at the edge of the pond . He wore a black coloured high collared cloak with claws around his neck. He had long blue coloured hair and a muscular body with tan skin colour. But his most unique feature was the blue coloured marks on his face and body.

When she saw him her expression turned cold. She thought,' Who is this person and how dare he come to my secret cultivation spot'.

"*Cough*....*Cough*..... who are and what are you doing here?" She asked in a cold voice.

At this time Yan was sitting near the edge of the pond thinking about what to do with this girl Xiao Mei. He could leave her to fend for herself or he could take her with him.

As he was lost in his thoughts, he suddenly smelled someone approaching but he didn't turned to look at the person instead he focused on this person. He could smell a faint sweet but cold ice like scent. This person was a girl. When she reached near him she coughed a little to attract his attention and asked him in an ice like voice as to who was he and what was he doing here.

Yan turned to look at the girl and found out that this girl was quite beautiful but he didn't even bat an eye at her and said in a cold voice, " One should introduce themselves first before asking others about their name and what I am doing here is none of your concern".

Listening to this Xia Qingyue's face turned extremely cold. She was Infuriated. Nobody has ever talked to her like that since she was a child.

Suddenly the temperature around her dropped as ice particles started to gather around her.

"Please leave this place immediately" She said in a cold emotionless voice.

"Oh what are you going to do if I don't leave?" Yan said as he smirked and stood up. He was pissed at the girl's arrogance.

This time without hesitation, Xia Qingyue attacked him with lotuses made our of ice as she unleashed her true profound realm powers.

The ice lotuses rushed at Yan in an extremely fast speed hitting his body and exploded covering the area around Yan with fog .

Qingyue put her hands down believing that this person was done for but her eyes widened when she heard a laughter as the man came out of the fog completely unscathed.

"Haha haha haha What was that supposed to be?" Yan said as he looked at her with a mocking smile.

Seeing this Xia Qingyue was extremly surprised. The attack she used was one of her strongest move and yet this person easily shrugged it off like nothing. At first she thought this man was a commoner who was too arrogant abd didn't knew his place because she couldn't feel any profound energy released from his body but now she knew that this person in front of her was expert who might even be stronger than her.

She tensed as she took an attacking stance as she looked at Yan wearly.

But suddenly Yan disappeared from his place and appeared directly in front of her. Qingyue was completely astonished by this and couldn't even react when a hand stretched and caught her by the throat and lifted her of her feets.

" Did you really believe that with your puny strength you could ever hurt me?" Yan said with a mocking smile.

At this time Xia Qingyue was trying to get out of that steel like grip of this man. She even used her ice profound art on him but to her surprise and horror nothing seemed to happen. It was as if he was invulnerable. She was starting to feel fear for the first time in her life.

This was the first time Xia Qingyue has ever had this feeling. The feeling of desperation. This was the second time she had ever felt like that. The first time was when her mother left her.

"Tell me your name little girl" Yan said with his mocking smile as he looked at this arrogant yet desperate girl.

"X.... Xia Qin...Qingyue" She said looking at Yan as she held his hand and tried desperately to get out of it.

When Yan heard this name, his smile suddenly disappeared as he looked at her.

"What did you say your name was?" Yan said in a cold voice this time with a dark look on his face. He also increased his strength of his grip around her throat.

"Urg.... It's XIA QINGYUE!!!";She shouted as she was getting chocked.

When Yan finally confirmed that he hasn't heard wrong, he clenched his teeth.

He perfectly knew who this girl was because he had read the novel. This was Xia Qinguye the girl who destroyed her own birth planet and betrayed her husband who had done so much for her. This was the worst character after Yun Che Yan had ever seen. Even her mother was an absolute horrible person who betrayed her husband and left him so that she could live with her lover. And Qingyue even supported her mother marrying her lover. Yan absolutely hated her and her mother.

"So it's you!" Yan said as he looked at her with a vicious look.

This look sent a chill down Xia Qingyue's spine. This time she was feeling dread, absolute and overwhelming dread.

Yan without hesitation threw her with a force towards the forest. *BAAAM* Xia Qingyue shot like a arrow as she crashed into the trees which destroyed multiple trees.

She stopped after breaking through multiple trees and fell down on the ground. There were multiple scratches on her body as she was bleeding from the mouth. She tried to stand up but found out that she couldn't. Her legs were shaking as tears started to appear in her eyes. This was the first time she felt so much humiliated and scared at the same time.

She tried to stand up when suddenly an extremely suffocating pressure fell on the forest. All the effort she put to stand up disappeared in vain as she fell face forward on the ground.

Her breathing became ragged as she was having trouble breathing in this suffocating pressures. She sweated heavily as she moved her head to look forward. Her blood turned cold when she saw Yan was standing in front of her. She was currently shaking looking at Yan's cold eyes that seemed to pierce through her soul.

"You know I feel like ripping you apart" Yan said clenching his fists tightly.

"But I won't. You will feel despair when the time is right" Yan said as a crazy smile appeared on his face. He knew that this girl was going to suffer a lot in the future and he was going to enjoy it. It would be really great when she finds out why her mother left in the first place and how she decided to stay with her lover leaving behind her poor husband behind. She would feel despair when she finds out that all that strength she sought to bring her family together would be useless when she finds out the truth. But at the same time he felt pity for her and so he decided to give her a piece of his mind.

"Hehehahahaha go live your pathetic life, forget about your desires to reunite your family and let go off that frozen heart of yours. Embrace your emotions and don't become an emotionless doll. Try to appreciate the things you have now, If you don't then in the future you will surely regret it" Yan said with a cold voice as he turned around as he slowly left the place leaving a mentally broken Qingyue crying there.

Today she has learned something very important and she would never forget this person. In the future this person would become an extremely important part of her life.
