DINNER DATE

Before she would be pissed off after hearing him talk about the girl that he likes but this time Kaye realized that she would just enjoy every moment she has with him.

"Why didn't you bring her here? She was your girlfriend that time, right?" Kaye asked softly but the word girlfriend still made her frown.

"During that time, I was suspecting her already because the girl that I like loves to eat shrimp and lobster, but my ex-girlfriend was allergy to these foods." Ivan said without taking his gaze away from her.

Kaye felt hot after making a direct eye contact with Ivan but she kept a calm face and tried to relax her beating heart. "I think I'd get along with the girl that you like. We have so much similarities." Kaye commented after hearing him.

"I believe you would. How about the man you like?" Ivan asked in return so he would know something about his rival, who was basically himself.

"He likes to eat spicy foods and he has a sweet tooth. He's allergic to strawberries though." If Ivan was looking at her directly when he talked to her, Kaye was looking outside the window as she reminisce of her past with Ivan.

Ivan was startled to know these details but he didn't get his hopes high since Kaye didn't look infatuated at him. Even though the man's taste was similar to him, he didn't think it would be him. But it was really him!

"You're turning twenty-seven this year, are you planning to get married or take a risk and let the man know how you feel?" Ivan asked seriously. But somehow, he didn't want to hear a 'YES' answer from her and Kaye granted that.

"Nope. As of the moment, marriage isn't my priority. I don't want him to know how I feel as well. I'm pretty sure that mu feelings will fade over time." Kaye answered but her eyes were sad when she looked at him. Ivan did notice that but he didn't know it was exactly because of him.

"We're opposite. I'm planning to confess during her birthday. Whether she accepts it or not, will be up to her. I don't mind being friends with her but I want to at least let her know how I feel." That's what he was planning to do. It will be a month later. He still got time to prepare.

"I wish you luck in advance." Kaye smiled at him. A genuine smile even though her heart was broken, she still want to be happy for him.

After waiting for almost half an hour, their food arrived and the smell enticed her so much.

Kaye was salivating while looking at the huge lobster on a platter. She smiled when she saw the shrimps but she raised her brows at him upon seeing the crab.

"I know you don't like eating it. I'll open it up for you and you don't need to worry about the shells." Ivan commented with a faint laugh knowing how much she hates crabs. It's not that she didn't like the taste but it's because she didn't know how to eat it.

Kaye smiled after getting his answer. "If you insist, I'll eat to my heart's content." She picked up a shrimp and started removing the shells. She placed two pieces on her plate and another two pieces on Ivan's.

Ivan picked up a crab and removed the shell as well to get its tender meat. He placed all the meat on Kaye's plate as an exchange. He would indulge her with food since that's what she loves and he loves her.

"Just eat. Don't worry about me." Ivan said as he placed another crab meat on her plate.

"I did say I would eat to my heart's content but that doesn't mean you have to be hungry. Eat while it's hot." Kaye urged him with another piece of shrimp.

Ivan just smiled before taking a bite of the shrimp. Kaye went to proceed with the huge lobster. She took huge chunk of meat, dipped it on the sauce and raised her fork to Ivan's mouth.

"You've got to try this. Hurry up and open your mouth." She looked like a very thoughtful girlfriend which made Ivan smile brighter than usual.

"It's delicious." Ivan said after eating the meat she gave him. Kaye laughed before placing another crab meat on her mouth.

"I told you its good. We should eat more often here whenever my cravings for sea food hits." Kaye was talking cheerfully while shoving mouthful of food one after another.

She didn't forget to feed Ivan some of the food since he was busy removing the shells for her.

"I found this Thai restaurant which you would like for sure. I'll bring you there next time." Ivan said as he bite the food that Kaye offered him.

Kaye was so focus with the food and the atmosphere between them that it never occurred to her that she had an indirect kiss with Ivan.

Ivan on the other hand just looked at her mischievously. He didn't point it out at all.

"Let's get some wine. Just a glass. I couldn't have you drunk since we still have a movie to watch." Ivan suggested when they almost finished their food.

"That's a good idea. I don't mind a glass of wine." With that being said, Ivan ordered a Zealand Sauvignon Blanc for the two of them.

Ivan and Kaye picked up their wine and made a toast. Kaye wasn't really fond of alcohol so she made a face after taking a sip. "I don't know what's so good about alcohols. Last time it got me drunk."

Ivan just laughed at her side comment before taking another sip. "It's okay if you get drunk, but make sure you're with me so I can take care of you."

"I'll make sure to remember that." Little did Ivan know, Kaye was planning to get drunk the next time they get the chance to eat out.
