OFFICE DATE III

Ivan just listened to Kaye's words until she calm herself. She sat up straight to wipe her face. Looking at Ivan's worried face, Kaye burst into laughters which made Ivan smile as well.

"You look so worried." Kaye spoke while wiping her face with a tissue. "What happened is in the past. You don't have to look so sad. I've moved on. Though it was really a scary event and I missed you so much. You know, you're the only friend I have around my age that time." Kaye added with a bright smile.

"What happened made you who you are today. I'm most thankful that I found you. I will never leave you again, Kaye." Ivan said with utmost sincerity while looking directly at her eyes.

"Thank you. Let's stop this drama and go to your company already." Kaye muttered while working on her moisturizer and baby powder.

Ivan gave her head a gentle pat before turning on the engine once again. He looked at her to see if she's really fine before driving off towards his company.

When they arrived, Kaye had finished her retouch already. She looked so pretty that you wouldn't know she just cried a moment ago.

"Let's go." Ivan opened the door for her and took her right hand with his left. "Alex will be with us so you won't get bored. You'll act as my assistant for today." Ivan guided her towards the private lift which would bring them to his office directly.

"This is your company." Kaye stated with a smiling face. "You're very impressive."

"So you figured it out." Ivan responded when they got inside the lift. He pressed the button for the topmost floor where his office is located.

"I just found it weird that my Dad would ask me to join your meeting with you. No one, aside from the CEO, could make such decision to bring someone in a shareholder meeting." Kaye retorted with one of her brows lifted. Her right hand was still being held by Ivan.

When the elevator door opened, Kaye pulled her hand so that people won't look at them suspiciously like what happened before. However, when she saw the woman, Ivan's ex-girlfriend, without a second thought, she cling to Ivan's arm like a legitimate girlfriend.

Ivan looked at her face, then looked at her arm before looking at her face once again. "What are you looking at?" Kaye glared at him annoyingly. "I'm not allowing that woman to get close to you." Kaye whispered while looking at the woman named Therese.

"I wouldn't allow that to happen as well. She might be one of the shareholders due to Chris' help but that won't change the fact that she isn't you." Ivan whispered back before pulling her closer to him.

Kaye realized something upon hearing those words but she couldn't remember what exactly he said in the past. However, she's very sure that it's related to her.

"Good morning sir Ivan." his real assistant greeted him before looking at Kaye.

"Morning Eva. Give the itinerary for today to Kaye. She'll be my assistant for today. Take this as your day off." Ivan responded with a faint smile but he would never thought that the assistant would misunderstood him.

"Sir, am I fired? Am I being replaced?" the assistant was about to cry from the news.

"Huh? Who said your fired? She'll just act as an assistant today. You won't be fired." Ivan was amused with how his assistant thought.

"Oh. I see. Sorry sir. I really misunderstood. I was so scared to be replaced. I'll arrange everything as soon as possible and give the schedules for today to Miss Kaye." With all that being said, Eva, the assistant went back to her desk to arrange everything that will be needed for the whole day.

Kaye and Ivan walked directly to his office which Kaye was very familiar of. She saw the pictures that she once checked before. "I was wondering why the child on the picture was so familiar before. I never imagined it was you all along." Kaye commented before placing her handbag on the coffee table.

"I'm glad I brought some here." Ivan smirked with that mischievous smile again.

"I'm tired already." Kaye complained without even doing anything.

"Stop complaining. We haven't done anything yet." Ivan laughed as he opened his computer to check on his emails.

Kaye was just relaxing on the sofa while Ivan checked on his mails. A while later, a surprise face of Alex came into view, who was standing at the door.

"Here I thought who was the girl everyone talked about. I didn't expect to see you here!" Alex exclaimed, walking towards the couch opposite of Kaye.

"Well, it isn't a surprise to see you here." Kaye said with a grinning face. "How are you?"

"Good. I haven't had a nice vacation since the time 'someone' got his vision back." Alex responded, letting Ivan hear him on purpose, which Kaye laughed heartily.

"Ivan trusted you with the important tasks. I'm pretty sure you'll get some rewards." Kaye spoke softly with a hint of laughter in her voice.

"Don't try to win me over words." Alex grimaced. "It won't work."

"Alex, did you finish the task I gave you? You seem to have so much time." Ivan interjected which made Alex slumped on his chair.

"I'll finish it after the meeting. I just want to see your girlfriend here. Don't be stingy." Alex mopped on the couch like a child.

Kaye on the other hand was blushing all over her face from the statement. She looked at Ivan waiting for his denial about the girlfriend thing, but Ivan didn't utter a single word to retort the statement.

"I'm not his girlfriend, you idiot." Kaye murmured under her breath which was still audible to Ivan and Alex.

"Alright. I won't disturb your love nest. I'll prepare the materials for the meeting." Alex stood up and walked towards the door. When he was about to leave, "Please don't leave our King, my Queen." then he gave her a playful wink.

Kaye puffed up her cheeks before glaring at Ivan, "You're friend keeps teasing me."

Looking at her bulging cheeks, Ivan laughed out loud which made Kaye laugh as well. There happy faces, without even hearing what they were talking, everyone would know it was something playful and this was the scene that everyone see through the glass which stunned them.

"Our CEO just laugh! For the first time!" This was what everybody thought.
