DOUBLE DATE

They stood facing each other but soon enough, Kaye burst out laughing. "I can see my foolishness in you." she commented which made Ivan laugh as well.

"Why do I feel the same?" Ivan responded as he stood on the space beside her. He was facing the sea, while Kaye was facing the inner room.

"Ivan, I...I'm..." Kaye stuttered again which showed her nervousness. Ivan turned to face her side profile but she stopped talking already.

"Just voice it out." Ivan spoke to her.

"I'm hungry." Kaye spoke in a whisper but it wasn't the thing she wanted to say earlier.

Ivan chuckled at her response. "Let's arrange our things first then let's head out to eat."

Kaye nodded her head and went inside to arrange her things. Ivan watched her walk away and he felt that she was hiding something from him but he couldn't point out what the secret could be.

Kaye was almost done with her things. Ivan, on the other side, was talking to Alex for some business matters. She wanted to help him but she didn't want to be touchy with his things.

After she finished her task, she lay on the bed for a while. Ivan finished his call after half an hour and when he got back, she was already asleep.

Since it was still early, Ivan put his things on the space left by Kaye for him in the closet. When he finished putting away his things, he sat on the bed beside her.

Fiddling on his phone as he sent out orders to his people. He needed things to be in order when the time comes.

Kaye fell asleep for almost two hours. If it wasn't for the rumbling of her stomach, she wouldn't even get up.

"I want to eat." Kaye slung her arms across the bed and hugged Ivan's waist. She didn't care at all. Let her take advantage of the situation since it wouldn't last long.

Ivan pinched her sleepy face while saying, "What a gluttonous rice ball I have. Come on sleepy head. Wash your face so we can go out and eat."

"Don't pinch my face. I don't want to be uglier than I am already." Kaye complained, swatting his hand away but Ivan didn't move at all.

"You're not ugly. If anyone says you're ugly, I'll gouge their eyes." Ivan said with a cold and violent gaze.

"Alright. I know I'm not ugly." Kaye compromised, sitting up straight and getting herself ready for dinner.

Ivan watched her walked towards the bathroom and washed her face. She looked so lovely with that just-wake-up look on her face.

They met Lexi and Gab on the hallway who was getting ready to grab dinner as well. Lexi grabbed Kaye and linked their arms together while the guys followed them behind.

"What would guys want for dinner? Wanna go together?" Lexi asked but she was actually just asking Kaye, disregarding the opinions of the men with them.

Kaye looked at Ivan who was walking behind her with his hand on his pocket. "I'm craving for barbecues."

"Then let's have barbecue. It's on me." Ivan responded eyeing her with a tender gaze. Kaye blushed after receiving such look from Ivan.

"Since it's barbecue, I know where we can get the best taste and the best view." Lexi tugged Kaye's hand and walked ahead of them.

When they were quite away from them, Gab turned to face Ivan, "when do you plan to confess to her?".

"On her birthday. It's less than a month from now." Ivan answered without stopping his track from following Kaye and his cousin.

"You better hurry or someone would snatch her from you." Gab warned with a hint of mischief, but it was also the truth. With Kaye's pretty face, men would really flock to get her, only that she was so indifferent to their affection.

"I won't let that happen." Ivan said coldly.

"Ivan, hurry up!" Kaye called out, standing at the gate of a big cottage, waving her hand at him.

"Go ahead. I'll have whatever you like." Ivan shouted back at her with a grin plastered all over his face.

"You're spoiling her so much. Auntie Yve told us that you spoiled her so much when you were young. Habit is really hard to change." Gab commented on the sideline as he watched their interaction even though they're meters apart.

While the men talk about confession, Kaye and Lexi were busy choosing the food they wanted to eat.

"Four orders of squid, two orders of milk fish, six chicken wings, two thighs, a platter of rice and vegetable salad with no dressing." Kaye listed the foods that she thought would be enough for her and Ivan. "What about you Lex?" she turned to Lexi who was also listing some for Gab.

After making sure that everything was settled, Lexi led her to the second floor of the cottage. It has a very romantic vibe. The rails were covered with flowering vines and there were small lights strewn over to give light.

Around the cottage were tall coconut trees and hanging on the palm were brightly lit up colored bulbs. You can see the beach not far away from the place and you can even taste the sea breeze.

"These is really lovely. How did you know this place?" Kaye asked Lexi who walked to a table near the railings which could accommodate the four of them.

"While waiting for you guys earlier, we looked around and I found this. Kath ate a lot so she didn't want to get dinner." Lexi responded while she grabbed a chair to seat. She put her chin on her palm before looking around to make sure no one would hear the words she's about to say. She leaned forwards and whispered, "how are you and Ivan? Any progress?"

Kaye thought that Lexi would ask her some serious matter but when she heard her question, her face turned a deep shade of red.

"Wh-what prog-progress...what progress are you talking about?" Kaye stuttered and it was the first time she reacted in such a way in front of Lexi.

Lexi burst out laughing after seeing her flustered face. "Don't worry. I'll keep it a secret. The love in your eyes was so clear that even a person with myopia can still see it."
