The Boat

After a bit of time passed, and some monologuing from Shinpachi and Gin, the two set out on the scooter to bring back their sister.

"Gin, where did your friend go?" Shinpachi asked.

"Him? Who knows. He's probably off playing hero or something. He's probably going to appear at the last second, making a cool entrance scene and stealing the thunder from us." Gin said, driving forward.

Holding a poster of the club, they followed it's directions and were on the highway next to the sea. But then, a police car pulled up next to them.

"Hey! You, without the helmet, stop!" The policeman shouted from his car.

"What are you saying?" We don't need road traffic laws in this day and age." Gin responded.

"That's true, but it'll hurt if you crash." The policeman said sincerely. "I'm just telling you because I'm concerned."

"Hm, he's right Gin. If you don't wear your helmet and crash, your head could get split open, then I'll be missing a supporting character." Hiroto said.

"..." Gin.

"..." Shinpachi.

"Say, what are you doing in the back of the police car, Hiro?" Gin said.

"Well… you see." Hiroto said as he poked his head through the front seats. "I was trying to find a way to get to the club, and these two people offered me a ride."

"That's wrong! We caught you trying to steal a bicycle!" The policeman said.

"I wasn't stealing anything!" Hiroto refuted. "I was merely going to borrow it for an undisclosed amount of time!"

"That's called stealing!" Shinpachi shouted.

"Shut up!" Gin shouted, and kicked the policeman's head, causing it to smash into Hiroto's face.

"Agh! Damn you! Hurry, after him!" Hiroto shouted.

"Don't act like you're in a chase? And where did you get that uniform on!" The policeman shouted, looking at Hiroto who was wearing a police uniform.

"Ah! There!" Shinpachi shouted, pointing to a boat that was ascending to the sky. "The Shabu Shabu heaven has taken off! What are we going to do! Sis!"

"Damn him… mocking me like that!" The policeman said.

Hiroto took the radio from the front of the car and said, "Uh, Houston, we're gonna need backup. Over. Khzz."

"That's for space stations! And don't touch that!" The policeman yelled.

"We can't waste any time, full speed ahead!" Hiroto shouted.

The wheels of the car then retracted, as it began to levitate off the ground and flew forward.

"Hey, you! Do you think you can outrun the police?!" The policeman shouted through his speaker.

Gin looked at the car and smiled. "Hup!" He then grabbed Shinpachi and jumped into the window of the car.

"Oi! What are you doing?! Ahh! Don't poke me!" The policeman said.

"Hey, look at me. Look at me." Hiroto said. "I am the policeman now."

*whack* "Shut up!" Gin shouted, hitting Hiroto's head.

Taking control of the wheel, Gin piloted the car up towards the flying boat. Opening the door of the door, Hiroto said, "I hope you two know how to swim!"

"Huh?/Huh?" The two policemen were confused but were then yanked and thrown out of the car into the water.

"AH! You threw them out!" Shinpachi shouted.

"They're fine. Who doesn't know how to swim these days?" Hiroto said.

"You don't." Gin then added.

"Oi! I swim just fine, just like a dolphin!" Hiroto argued.

"More like a rock." Gin said.

"I think you mispronounced, 'submarine'," Hiroto said, relaxing in the back of his seat.

"Oi! Are you two just going to ignore the fact that you just hijacked a police car?!" Shinpachi shouted.

"No no, it's not a hijacking. We're just borrowing it to enforce the law. They should be thankful." Gin said.

Shinpachi sighed, then looked at the empty scabbard at Hiroto's side. "Why do you have an empty scabbard? Don't you have a sword?"

"I pawned it off for some money," Hiroto said, leaning out of the window as they got closer and closer to the boat.

"Hang on!" Gin shouted, steering it around. The car did a wide loop around the front of the boat and then headed straight towards the main building on it.

"Agh!! Don't crash it into!!" Shinpachi shouted.

*BOOM* Gin crashed the car into it.

"Ah, it's bad! It's a police car! The cops are onto us!" The short man shouted as he recoiled away from the front of the police car that stuck through the wall.

*cough cough cough* Otae was coughing on the ground, as the dust that was kicked up started to subside.

"Don't worry. It's just a rental." Gin said as he stepped out of the car. "Hello. Odd Jobs, at your service!" Shinpachi stood next to Gin as they stood in front of the man and his many bodyguards.

"Oi, Hiro. This is the time you show up." Gin whispered.

"Huh? Oh, yea." Hiroto said, stepping out of the car.

"Uh, yea hi. Odd jobs. At your service!" Hiroto said, scratching the back of his head.

"Oi! I already said that!" Gin shouted.

"This isn't the time for that!" Shinpachi yelled.

"What the hell are you doing?!" The short man shouted.

"We've come to get my sister back!" Shinpachi yelled, running in front of his sister.

"Well, I heard that there was a club I should check out, but looking around there doesn't seem to be much here, is there?" Hiroto said.

"You idiot! You crashed into the wall and broke everything, of course, there's not much!! And don't any of you understand that it's too late already?! Your dojo won't be any safer after this!" The short man shouted in frustration.

"I don't care about the dojo. I want a dojo where my sister is always smiling. If I have to see my sister cry… I don't need the dojo!" Shinpachi declared.

Hiroto walked over to Gin and whispered, "He's quite the sis-con, isn't he?"

"Yea, just look at him." Gin whispered.

"Fool! What can just the three of you do?" The short man yelled, pulling out a gun. The bodyguards behind him did the same. "Get them!"

"Hey, I'll distract 'em." Gin said. "Go find an escape pod or something and get outta here."

"Wh-What about you two?" Shinpachi said, turning to Hiroto and Gin.

"You just think about protecting your sister. And I'll protect what I want to protect." Gin said, taking his wooden sword out.

*whistle* "What a great monologue, I should practice one too." Hiroto said, taking his empty scabbard into his right hand.

"Haha, you don't even have a weapon and you're gonna swing that around?" The short man laughed.

"Hmm, you're right. I don't need this." Hiroto said, rubbing his chin. He then put his scabbard back into his belt, and said, "For you guys, just my hands are enough."

"Tsk, die!" The man shouted, raising his gun.

"Hyah!" Gin shouted, as he swung his sword and knocked everyone away.

"See, didn't even need to do anything," Hiroto said.

"Alright, next!" Gin shouted, jumping into more people.

"Who is this guy?!" The bodyguards shouted as they were flung away.

"Wait, get the red-haired one! He doesn't have a weapon!" They shouted, turning towards Hiroto.

*bang bang bang* They all shot towards him, but Hiroto then disappeared from his spot.

"W-What?! Where did he go?!" One of them shouted.

"Oops, you forgot to fasten your belts," Hiroto said.

"What? Gah!" The bodyguards all felt their pants fall to their feet, showing off their underwear.

"Oh, hello kitty briefs? You got a unique taste." Hiroto commented.

"Stop messing around!" Gin shouted, knocking those guys out.

"Shinichi! Go!" Gin shouted towards Shinichi.

"It's Shinpachi, you idiot!" Shinichi shouted, grabbing Otae and running out of the room.

"Shin! Will they be alright?" Otae asked as she was dragged away by Shinpachi. "Why are they doing this for us?"

"I don't know! But they'll come back! Because I can sense it in them!" Shinpachi said. "The thing that Father talked about."

"Agghhhh!!" Gin's voice came from behind them, as he ran as fast as he could. "That was tough! It was far tougher than I thought!"

"Try a little harder! You didn't even last a minute!" Shinpachi yelled. "Wait, where's Hiroto gone to?"

"Agh, who knows!" Gin shouted.

The three continued running and entered what seemed to be the engine room of the boat.

"Let's end this game of tag. Your red-haired friend has probably already been killed, so give up or you might end up like him." The short man said, walking into the engine room with more bodyguards.

"Ha, you think that you killed him? You might want to take that back, or you'll regret saying that." Gin said, mocking him.

The man scrunched up his face and said, "Why yo-"

*bzz* "Umm, hello? Is this thing on?" Hiroto's voice sounded out through the intercom.

"What?! How did he get to the bridge?!" The short man shouted at a bodyguard behind him.

"Ahem, uh, this is your captain speaking. I would like to make an announcement to the passengers… I don't know how to fly this thing, and there's a big red number here." Hiroto's voice sounded out throughout the boat.

"Aghh!! We're plummeting!" The short man shouted as the boat started to tip forward and fall towards the water below them.

"Aghhh!" Shinpachi shouted as he and Otae fell forward the moment the ship started to plummet downward.

"Hold on!" Gin shouted, as he grabbed onto Shinpachi's hand, who grabbed onto Otae in turn.

"What the hell is he doing?! Is he trying to kill us all?!" Gin shouted as he held onto Shinpachi's arm, with his other arm held onto a lever.

*click*

The lever was pulled down and clicked into place. "Eh, what was that?" Gin said, looking up. On a terminal screen next to the lever, the words, self destruct in 60 seconds was blaring in red.

"What?! Who would put a self destruct lever on a ship?!" Gin shouted.

"Self destruct?! We're gonna blow up!" Shinpachi shouted as he saw the number's slowly ticking down.

"I-It's okay! We just have to call Tom Cruise and he can come defuse this!" Gin said.

*bzz* "OI! Who's the bastard that pressed the self to destruct button?! It's already hard enough to pilot this damn boat!" Hiroto's voice sounded out again in the intercom.

"Shut up! It's not like you're piloting this ship, it's just falling!" Gin shouted.

*BOOM*

The ship then crashed into the water, causing everyone to be knocked around all over the place.

"AH! The water! It's rising! Quick, find an exit!" Otae shouted as she watched the water slowly come up towards them.

"Oraaah!!" Gin shouted, jumping to the side of the boat and swinging his sword at it.

*BOOM* He blasted the side of the wall apart, allowing more water to come through, but creating an opening for them to escape from.

"Here! This way!" Gin shouted, pulling the two out. But, just as he was about to jump through, a giant wave of water poured into the hole and knocked him back in.

"No!" Shinpachi shouted as the water knocked them back in. But, just as they were falling forward, a hand reached in and grabbed Gin by his collar.

"Jeez, why do you have to cause me so much trouble, Gin?"

"Hiro! Quickly, pull us out!" Gin shouted.

"I know already!" Hiroto said, pulling Gin and the others up and out of the hole. "Quickly! Swim to shore!" He shouted as he paddled away with an inflatable ring around his body.

The terminal in the boat displayed the numbers, 5...4...3...2...1.... Just kidding…

"Huh? Shouldn't the boat have exploded by now?" Hiroto said as he turned to look at the boat.

"You idiot." The short man's voice came from the water just a bit away from them. "There was no self destruct program. It was just a way to keep the employees on their toes. Who would be stupid enough to actua-"

*BOOOOOOOM*

The boat suddenly exploded, causing a big wave of water to pick the group up as they were pushed away from the explosion.

"AHHHHH!" Everyone shouted as the big tidal wave crashed into the docks, knocking everyone away.

*cough cough* Coughing the water out of his lungs, Hiroto stood up and fixed his wet hair. "Jeez, see, I told you I can swim."

"*cough cough* Then why do you have an inflatable ring around you?" Gin said.

"You must always come prepared for any situation," Hiroto said, throwing the ring away.

As the two were talking, countless police sirens came from the distance. Hiroto and Gin looked at each other, and at the short man who was unconscious. Giving each other a nod, they moved forward.

"Stop it right there!" A policeman shouted as he got out of his car.

"It's fine, officer! We caught the suspect!" Hiroto shouted, holding up the short man who was tied up.

"Oi! It's you two!" The same policeman from before shouted as he pointed at them. "They stole my car!"

"Oi! We aided in the arrest of ruffians who were disturbing the peace of Edo!" Gin said. "You can let the fact that we borrowed a police car slide!"

"Borrowed? My car and I are a complete wreck!" The policeman pointed towards the water with the bits and pieces of the boat.

"You've always been a wreck! You look better like that." Gin said.

"Seriously?! Which part?" The policeman asked.

"Well…" Hiroto chimed in.

Shinpachi and Otae were watching from afar as Hiroto and Gin argued with the police officer.

"They're too reckless to be samurai. But too sharp to be thugs. Just what are they…" Shinpachi said.

"Yea…" Otae said, smiling.

Shinpachi looked at his sister and said, "Sis, I…"

"Go," Otae answered abruptly. "You found something in them, right? Go and find your sword. I'll look for it my own way." Otae turned and watched Hiroto hitting the back of Gin's head, who then tried to strangle him.

Smiling, she said, "Although they argue a lot, I can see they care about each other. I don't want to see you cry either, so go." She then walked away.

Shinpachi watched as her sister walked away, and turned to run towards Hiroto and Gin.

Otae stopped and turned to look at them. Whispering, "He does give off… a warm bright color…"
