Yui

After the events of Otsu's concert, a week and a half had gone by. Although, if we were to follow the pattern of the past chapters, this chapter was supposed to introduce Hasegawa as a character.

But, honestly… Meh. Not really interested in that episode.

"Ehhh," Hasegawa complained. "Why won't you do a chapter about me??"

Because I don't want to.

"Why! That's cruel! Everyone so far got a chapter for their backstory!" Hasegawa protested.

So? Those are for characters that are important to the story.

"EH! You just basically said that I'm not an important character! I am! I punched that stupid prince and it cost me my job! Shouldn't that let the readers sympathize with my character?"

So what? Do you want to be a pity case instead?

"That's not what I meant! It was supposed to show how my character wouldn't give up his moral compass, risking his job and everything!"

"That's just stupid," Hiroto said. "So you risked the job that your wife got you, leaving you homeless and penniless. Nice going."

"But…"

He's right, you sacrificed your own job just so you can look cool for a few seconds.

"Bu-"

"What an idiot, he had such a good job as well. Being in a high position with underlings, having good pay. I feel sorry for his wife." Hiroto shook his head.

"... I'm going to go cry in a corner."

-----

Sitting in a cafe, Hiroto was listening to Otae's story next to Gin and Kagura. Shinpachi sat opposite them next to his sister.

Hiroto spoke up, "So, to clarify. You were working as a hostess, then you consoled this gorilla, saying that you wouldn't care if a person has a lot of ass hair, you'd love them nonetheless. He then took this the wrong way and started to stalk you, declaring his love for you at any given chance."

"That's the gist of it," Otae said, with a troubled look.

*slurrrp* Kagura was currently eating for a massive ramen bowl as an employee stood behind her with a timer, as she ate against the clock.

"Aren't you glad that someone wants to marry her?" Gin said to Shinpachi, as he ate his parfait. "He's got a sword in his belt, so that means he's important at least, right?"

"How do you know that?" Hiroto said.

"I watched the anime." Gin replied.

"At first, I thought he was going to give up." Otae spoke up. "So I didn't give it much thought. But… he's shown up no matter where I went. When I was in a car, he would run along with it. When I was shopping, he was dressed up as the employee."

Otae sighed, "It hit me that he's not normal."

"Alright, thirty seconds left." The employee said to kagura, who held the bowl up and started drinking the rest of the ramen stock.

"So, what do you want us to do then? Hit him? Put some sense into him?" Hiroto said, resting his chin on his hand. "We aren't thugs, you know?"

"It's alright, I have a plan. But you'll have to come with me." Otae smiled.

Hiroto got shivers down his spine seeing her smile. "Wait, first tell me. What does this plan entail?"

"It's a secret." Otae lifted a finger to her mouth.

"Hold on now." Gin said, resting his hand on Hiroto's shoulder. "If you're gonna do anything, show me the money first."

"Gin," Shinpachi spoke up. "You know you haven't paid me in, like two months. I could sue you two."

"Can't pay you. Even if we do go to court." Gin confidently replied.

"Alright, come with me," Otae said, grabbing Hiroto's arm and leading him away.

"I have a bad feeling about this…" Hiroto thought as he was led outside into the streets.

From under one of the tables was Otae's stalker, Kondo, grinding his teeth. "Who the hell is that pretty boy? What is he doing with Otae?"

Leaving the store, Otae led Hiroto away, as Kondo was following them from a distance.

Hiroto had already noticed someone was following them, but just ignored it when he saw that they were standing in front of a costume store.

"Here we are, let's get you puckered up," Otae said.

"Uh, what? Wait, no no no no. I am not doing this!" Hiroto said, squirming out of Otae's grip.

*crack*

Otae gripped harder, almost crushing Hiroto's arm. "Ara, but didn't you agree to help me?"

"I never even said anything! Ow ow ow, okay, I agreed, I agreed!" Hiroto quickly replied.

"Good!" Otae smiled, walking into the store, dragging behind her a tearful Hiroto.

Kondo approached the store with a newspaper covering his face, leaving two holes in it to peek through.

"Hm, what are they doing here? It can't be! Shopping for roleplay costumes to do this and that in?!" Kondo shouted, ripping the newspaper apart.

As he was about to walk in, Otae and another person left the store. Kondo paused in his footsteps, as he felt his heart was struck by multiple arrows at once. The surrounding men paused and looked towards the person next to Otae.

"Ah, Kondo. What a coincidence meeting you here. This is Yui, she just came to town today so I was going to show her around." Otae said, gesturing to the person next to her.

The person has long, flowing red hair, a large bust on her chest attracted many eyes. The face could be described as flawless, with glossy red lipstick, and long eyelashes.

Yes, this was indeed Hiroto in a costume. Today, he was no longer Hiroto… but Yui! Hiroto's eyes were lifeless, as he thought to himself, 'My dignity as a man… has been crushed.'

"A-Ah! H-Hello! I'm Kondo!" Kondo quickly replied, bowing repeatedly. Yui looked at him and gave a forced smile.

*kachow*

The hearts of the men within the vicinity were instantly pierced, as they walked forward and started to introduce themselves.

"Are you a model?"

"Are you a celebrity?"

"Where are you from? Do you need me to show you around?"

The men quickly surrounded Yui as Otae walked away with a peaceful smile. Yui looked at her back and swore to himself, 'Just you wait, we're not finished yet, for my name is Yu- Hiroto!!'

Kondo quickly pushed the other people away and said, "Um, Yui. What is your opinion on… excessive hair?"

Hiroto (AN: changing back to Hiroto since people could get confused), replied while grinding his teeth. "Ah, it doesn't bother me. Everyone shouldn't be ashamed of their body."

"MARRY ME!!!" Kondo shouted, jumping towards her.

*KAPOW*

Hiroto punched forward into Kondo's face, sending him flying and knocking the crowd around him away as well as they crashed into the ground.

Hiroto dusted his dress and said, "Hmph, that'll teach you a lesson for being so forceful." He then started walking away as the men around him were laying on the ground, dazed.

-----

Quickly changing back to his original appearance, Hiroto was walking through down with a horrible mood.

"Dammit, that was annoying as hell. Can't walk anyway while I'm in that get up. And those fake boobs weighed so much, it's borderline annoying!" Hiroto grumbled to himself.

As he walked on, a hand grabbed his shoulder.

"Huh?" Hiroto turned around and said with a provoking tone, "What do you want?"

"Ah, sorry sir, we got the wrong person." A person wearing the Shinsengumi shirt apologized and held up a poster, "Your back looked similar to this drawing, the chief put out an order to find her as soon as possible."

Hiroto looked at the drawing and facepalmed himself. It was a picture of him cosplaying as a woman, Yui.

*rip* Hiroto ripped it apart and yelled, "Ahhh!! This is the worst turn of events I've ever experienced!!"

"Sir, please don't destroy our evidence!" The Shinsengumi officer said, waving his hand to placate Hiroto.

"Who cares! It's not evidence, it's just stalking material! You're the police force, and yet your 'chief' put you out to find this woman just so he can stalk her even more!" Hiroto said, putting two and two together.

"Well… hahaha…" The man gave a weary laugh, not denying nor confirming what Hiroto said.

"Whatever! I don't care anymore! I'm too pissed to care about anything!" Hiroto said as he stomped away.

As he walked away, he saw the familiar figure of Kondo running towards him at high speed, shouting out, "HIROTO!!!"

*snap*

Hiroto was about to punch him again, but held back as Kondo stopped in front of him and quickly said, "Hiroto! I heard from Otae that Yui is your sister! No wonder you two look so similar to each other! If I didn't know better, I would have thought that you were Yui! Hahaha!"

Hiroto ground his teeth and said, "Don't bother me, I'm too annoyed deal with anything right now, so leave me alone!"

"Wait, I just came to ask for your approval to pursue your sister! That's all!" Kondo quickly said.

"Why shou-" Hiroto paused before completing his sentence.

'Wait a minute, I can turn this around.' Hiroto then got a deceiving, and scheming smile and said, "Oh my, I would. But you see, Yui is already engaged."

"WHAT?! TO WHO!!" Kondo yelled out.

Hiroto then said, "To a samurai with white hair, and dead looking fish eyes. His name is Gintoki, you should've seen him back at the cafe."

"That guy!" Kondo remembered back to the cafe, and Gin's dead fish eyes.

Hiroto then continued to stoke the flames, "You know, my sister always liked strong men. So, if you prove yourself and win against Gintoki, she might just accept you instead."

Kondo's eyes brightened up, as he patted Hiroto back and laughed, "Hahaha! You're right! I'll go and challenge that guy and beat him in a duel! Then Yui will accept me!"

"That's the spirit!" Hiroto said, giving Kondo a thumbs up as Kondo ran away.

Hiroto smiled to himself and said, "Well, have fun with my present, Gin."
