Seeing the minibus drove off, Ryota sighed as he looked towards Saeko who was smiling at him.
"Why are you really here?"
"I find you too mysterious to let go out of my sight like that." Saeko said, "So what's the next move?"
"You'd find that it was better for you to stay on the bus," Ryota said as he looked towards Shido.
"Let's go Arima-kun, lead us to the--"
Before Shido could even complete his sentence, his head fell off his shoulder landing on the ground. Shido's body slowly reacted for awhile standing straight until it fell as well.
"Ahh!!" The girl in Shido's group screamed as the two guys looked at him with anger and fear.
"You bastard!" The boy said, "Shido-sensei trusted you."
"You sure you wanna keep running your mouth." Ryota said as he looked at the boy with disgust, "Can't you see what I just did? Now listen, I won't kill you but don't try to test my patience. The road is pretty clear so you should be able to survive if you run along, right away."
They all kept staring at Ryota with hatred as one of them got his senses back as he started running away and soon the other two followed as well.
Ryota sighed wondering why it had to turn out like this. Normally, he would just kill Shido and go out on his way but now Saeko was there standing still looking at him normally. He could've waited for a while and have Shido die slowly later on to protect his reputation but he began pondering if it really did matter. He didn't come to this world to impress girls, after all, he still had a mission to complete. Killing Shido off was the best he could do for the group and Marikawa for now and he could concentrate on his own objectives.
"Do you regret it now?" Ryota said as he looked towards Saeko, he then looked around and found a bike that was crashed on the side of the street with its rider still crushed under the bike, "They shouldn't have gone too far, so I'll drop you off and you can go with Shizuka-sensei and the rest of them."
"I don't regret it." Saeko said pulling Ryota's hand who was on his way to get the bike, "I knew you would kill Shido, the look in your eye at the time was enough to give me the clue on what you planned on doing with him. I recognize those eyes, you know."
"So are you not going to ask why?"
"Of course, if you want to tell me."
"Would you believe me if I said, that if we let him go alive, he'll be a threat to all of your group?"
"I do." Saeko nodded, "He was never a good man and the way he tried to kill us before and he sure would have if you hadn't figured out his plans, we could be the one out of the bus not him."
Ryota took a deep sigh, "So what you plan on doing?"
"I want to follow you."
"Not scared?" Ryota said, "After all, I just murdered a living human without a moment of hesitation."
"I have parts of me that are scarier." Saeko said keeping her hands in her shoulder, "And it wasn't a moment of hesitation was it? I could see you were struggling with yourself with what to do with Shido and you killed him in a single strike right away because you knew that if you hesitated any further you might not be able to kill him."
"Guess I am easy to read, huh." Ryota shrugged as he looked at Shido's head lying on the ground, "I hate the person I am becoming. So you should stay away from me and head back to the group."
"I can't force you but I want to stay with you." Saeko said, "I don't think you're stable right now to think things through, so I don't want you to die and then again as I said I want to know about you. Why you do those things? I want to figure you out."
"Well, I hope you do," Ryota said shaking his head as he went towards the bike, "Aren't you coming?"
---------------------------------------
"So you used to be a model and now you're an heir of a rich family?" Saeko said standing on guard looking at all the dead zombies at the place as Ryota was digging in the vaults, as loud crashing sounds came now and again.
"Yeah, exactly like I told you on our date," Ryota said as he threw another rock at the vault crashing it open as he collected all the rare jewels and golds he could find leaving the money untouched, "I wasn't quite invested in the modeling job and wanted to be an actor if things worked out so I took acting classes as well."
"I see, that's why you can say all those stuff without even flinching."
"Hey, you got to make it theatrical sometimes if you want to make people believe in you," Ryota said, "But you're weird too?"
"Weird than a guy whose been ransacking through all the rich neighborhood and now at a bank while claiming to be a rich guy?"
"I am not stealing, just taking my payment." Ryota said, 'After all, once the core is gone the world will stop revolving around the protagonist only a lot of people will get the chance to survive in a fair equal way. So what's wrong with taking some of these things, especially with people dying at such a rate, there was going to be enough for everybody'
"A payment for what?"
"I don't know, in case I do something good." Ryota shrugged as he got out of the vault still empty-handed making Saeko even curious where he was storing all the goods he had been stealing, after all, it was like those things just vanished in mid-air, "Also you're the weird one here, what kind of girl follows a guy who just killed a person in front of her and now is looting around different places."
"A special kind of weird girl." Saeko said, "You'll figure out sooner or later."
Ryota chuckled as he went over to Saeko bending over a little as he bought his face close to her's looking deeply into her eyes, "I guess you can say that we're both weird, huh."
"Won't your lovers complain?" Saeko said as she didn't back off, "You know going on a date with me was already enough and now this, and I am guessing Shizuka-sensei is one of your lovers too right?"
"I don't know, we haven't really settled things." Ryota shrugged, "But I promised her that I'll protect her so I'll do that until I leave from here."
"Where to?"
"Back home." Ryota said, "Back to my so-called lovers."
"You're not just weird but shameless too." Saeko sighed, "I have never seen someone like you."
"And yet you're still here with me." Ryota laughed when he suddenly felt a little tingle going suddenly silent.
"What happened?" Saeko asked.
Ryota didn't say anything as he began running off downstairs with his senses tingling further the deeper he went. Saeko not understanding still followed Ryota carrying the katana Ryota gave her a while ago.
