"Let me get this straight, the company runs itself through a system. What's the use of of having you and your grandmother, or any person?"
"Would you talk to a system?"
"No."
"Would you go to my company to talk or discuss any matter?"
"No."
"Would you talk to your company if you just see a digital image talking to you?"
"No."
"Would you believe it if I told you that the company has selected you instead of my grandmother? Would you believe the meeting that was set today was set by the system? Would you believe that the contract you are about to sign was made by the system, you can scratch and try to make over a new agreement but it would not be approved until the system approves of it?"
"Okay, so if we don't agree to this merger and acquisition, what would happen?"
"The system would choose the second business on its lost and blacklist you from the company and maybe notify other companies."
"So you are blackmailing us in a way then?"
"No, you asked what would happen. I just give you my opinion. This has never happened in the company before, so I was just presuming."
"It's okay mom. Mrs. Webber and Ms. Montgomery has laid out their terms. I just hope that you and your system knows that the secondary terms also apply for us. You don't expect to be unfaithful and get away, or cheat after marriage and walks away freely. I also want you to know that after we are married, if you don't produce an heir for our family within the first five years, you will have to allow me to be free to find someone as a mistress."
"I agree...," Katrina started to say, but then she heard a message come in her phone. Pulling out the phone she read and then said, "The system just sent a message, nine, if the wife cannot be fertilized by her spouse within the first three years of marriage, a divorce agreement would be provided. Only if both parties agree to stay together, they would get another three years together and if their is still no child, the marriage would be annulled by the system, whether either wants or does not want a divorce."
"Sounds good to me," Anthony said.
"Okay, then it is time for us to sign the agreement."
"Yes, I agree where do I sign?" Mrs. Frost asked.
"You don't have to sign, Anthony has to sign," Katrina said, as her phone screen lit up and a line showed up with her name in block letters underneath the line. Taking her phone pen, she signed on the line. She signed two more times when her name appeared three more times, then Anthony Frost name appeared, Katrina gave him her phone to sign, he also signed three more times.
Soon the sound of paper being pulled in a printer alerted them about something printing.
"Did you send something to print earlier?" Mrs. Frost asked.
"No."
Raising the phone, Anthony dialed a number, "Elizabeth, did you send something to print from my printer?...No, you don't need to come," he said and hang up the phone.
"She said no," Anthony told his mother.
"Peter," Katrina said.
"Yes ma'am," Peter said and went towards the printer, "The printer needs more paper."
Anthony gave Peter some more paper, the printer continued printing. When everything was printed, Peter walked back to Katrina and handed her the papers, she flipped through them then said, " A stapler please," after receiving the stapler, she stapled five sets of documents. "These are for the shares, Mr. and Mrs. Frost gets five percent each," Katrina said as she hand Mr. and Mrs. Frost two stapled sheets of paper each. "This is for you to sign to signify that you give me ten percent of your company shares," she said as she point where they each needed to sign. She then gave Anthony what looked like a five to ten pages document, "This is our signed contracts. Congratulations, I am now your fiance. The contract suppose to have our wedding date, oh look it here. I shall see you at the Civil Affairs office then," Katrina said as she waited for both Mr. and Mrs. Frost to sign the paper.
Ten minutes after all papers were signed and stored away properly, Katrina and her grandmother left the CEO's office and were on their way out. Anthony and his parents were still in shock in the way things had turned out because there were no gain if the marriage fall through and they were sure that Lee wouldn't be happy about the turn of things.
"You better watch what you are doing now." Mrs. Frost told her son.
"Mom, do you really believe that they have a system controlling their company?" Anthony asked his mother since he had no plans to stop playing around, however, he planned to keep himself in the down low because he didn't believe that he would ever get catch.
'There is no way that their company is controlled by a system, and I am sure there is no way she would know about my playboy character since my parents don't even know about it. I am also sure that after marriage there is no way she would control my life and could ever stop me from living my life the way I want to,' Anthony thought as he turned and face the window, looking out at the blue sky while he light his cigarette.
"Son, didn't you see the way the printer started to print on its own? Or even when the messages just came to her phone with reminders? Do you really think that she is capable of doing all those things? I mean, she is a smart girl but when we did research on her before, there was nothing promising or even outstanding about her. The only good things about her is that she is the sole owner of their company, which is what we want her for anyways, the money and the power to be pushed to the top of the empire list."
"I agree. After she marries me, she would be confined to the house and we would take over their company. She may have her rules, but those rules would change, they surely don't know what would hit them."
