While Angelica was out like a light bulb, somewhere in another inn sat a man gazing out to the town. He had been there since the being of the morning. Waiting for the sun to be up and awake to start a new day.
Yet what came in his vision would be a fair lady. He felt intrigued as he watched the lady looking at shops and house alike. He saw a smile on her face when she observed them and felt that the scene came right out of the painting. It was like time had stopped when he noticed it.
Snapping out of his thoughts he saw the lady walking towards an inn called "Dawn Tavern". Then coming out after a little while and then returned with two wolves that were floating with the help of magic.
'So she's a mage? How come I've never seen a silver hair lady like her? Did she come from another kingdom beyond the border?' As he placed his cheek on his hand that supported it. He looked as she walked towards the inn.
'No silver is an uncommon colour... and the way she carry's herself is like... doesn't even care about it. Just who is she? A noble? A spy? Wait a spy is to far fetched...Hmm'
"Duke... Duke... DUKE!" Snapping out of his thoughts he looked at the voice who called him.
The man looked at him with a frown and didn't even care if he was a royal and yelled at him, "Can't you say something at least?! People might think your dead in the room!"
He looked at him before turning back to the window view. 'Ahh, she's gone! Where did she go?!' But then he remembered that she was walking towards the inn and calmed down.
The two men who saw this scene looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders. They always have to face him in weird moods, at this point they found it normal.
The man who yelled at him spoke again, "Duke, just what the hell are you even looking at? Birds?"
"Mmn, I saw an interesting birdy fly in." He responded turning his head to man.
"....." Duke... do you want me to believe that with your face?
"Lance? Don't you know knocking is the polite way to enter? How come you didn't knock?" He causally said as he stretched his limbs.
Lance felt eminence rage and he felt a vain on his forehead throb while answering him patiently,
"If I knocked? Would you even answer?"
"Of course! Why wouldn't I?" He retorted.
Lance looked at the man behind him and spoke, "Travis, did I knock the door?"
Travis had his eyes covered with a bandage turned to the voice and gave a solid answer, "Yes"
Lance then turned back to the Duke. "Maybe you should get your ears checked. Should I make an appointment with the doctor?"
The Duke gave a weak smile to his words, "Hey stop! I did hear you! I don't need a doctor I'm still not that old yet! Why would I need at doctor when I'm fit and in my prime?" Raising his hand to stop him.
"Isn't that a prefect reason for it? Since your almost out of your prime?" Lance asked.
"Don't joke with me!" His golden eyes flashed at him as he said. Now that he lost the lady he turned his full attention to his men. They obviously came here to report to him.
Lance finally saw the man turned serious and sighed, "We got a report of suspicious people gathering. When are men got to close to it they all disappeared leaving only a note." He pulled out a purple paper with a symbol on it.
His eyes harden and menacing aura embraced him. "Get someone to research this.. and keep an eye out. They might have ties to that organization. That old man might have done something." His voice held some repulsion as he talked.
He tapped his fingers on the table before sneering out loud, "When will that old man drop dead? He's obviously to old to take care of that organization? And now various problems and rebels began because of this? Seriously? We have already gotten 6 notes with different symbols." He felt like laughing at the stupidity of these people.
"Are you sure that old man is not senile yet either? Shouldn't he book an appointment with the doctor?" He asked Lance.
Lance just rolled his eyes at him and fixed his glasses, giving no reply to him.
"And another problem would be that brat running around. Shouldn't he hold onto that psycho of his, instead of letting it run around-" Lance shut his mouth close with his hand.
"Duke. We should handle the task at hand. What are your orders?" Lance took of his hand and asked him.
The Duke, just looked outside. People had begun to fill the street and many of them had smiles on their faces as they walked around. It was a sight he like the most when he travelled around. Smiles filled with warmth and happiness.
"Tonight, we have fun. Let's hunt!" He smiled sinisterly letting a bit of bloodlust out, before controlling it again.
"Oh! One more thing! Could you find someone for me?" The Duke said all of a sudden.
Lance and Travis looked at each other, "Who?" Lance questioned.
The Duke smiled as he thought about the slim figure walking around town, "A woman."
"No" both men spoke. Travis and Lance didn't say anything else and walked away after listening to absurd request.
The Duke, just watched as both men left him alone in his lonely room. He had a confused look on his face.
Was that request so bad that even Travis had to talk?
He then thought about his words again and finally it clicked in his mind.
They probably just don't want to look for her!
Why else would they decline my request? It's not like I'm a womanizer? Right?
