She unwrapped the bandage from her arm and took a look at it in the mirror. She frowned looking at the mark. It exactly looked like fresh wound that never healed. What was worse was that the bleed seemed to get more and more heavy as the days go.
It seems that she shouldn't let this go for much longer. Now she can only rush back otherwise she might never know how she died. It would also be embarrassing if she died by poison.
Witches had a long list of medicine and poisons, she also study runes making her a unique witch out of the others. But since her attitude was bad many didn't like her.
Can't blame them, she spent 20 years in the human world before going to 'sleep'. She only went to the witch forest if her grandmother summoned her. Which was the case now.
She actually wasn't surprise to see her grandmothers familiar in Crescentia, one day the raven brought a letter for her. She read the letter and became speechless.
'Brat if you don't come back, I'll make sure to throw into the pit!! Don't forget!
Love your Grandma'
'This is a threat!! 100% a threat I tell you!! Grandma how can you even write 'love'?!?' She almost thought she read it wrong.
These two line letter made her wonder. How cranky can this old lady get? She only sleep for 8 years but the second she wakes up there trouble all around.
She shook her head to clear her thoughts, she grabbed a new bandage and wrapped her shoulder. She drank the elixir to suppress the bleeding. The affect only last four 8 hours now. Before it used to suppress it for 14 hours but now it shorten considerably. She came out of the bathroom and called out for Harry.
Harry's ears perked upwards and he pawed over to her. He sat down and looked at her tilting his head slightly to the right.
"Master, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, I just want to check your wound. How are you feeling now?"
Harry didn't feel the pain any longer because of the medicine and elixir Angelica made. So he answered her truthfully.
"I don't feel pain anymore. I actually feel much better!!" He said.
Angelica then motioned him to come forward and so he did. He watched as she removed the bandage and check his wound. There were two cuts on his stomach that looked at little ugly but his fur mostly covered it.
Her attention then shifted to the leg anklet she made for him.
"It didn't work, huh.." she sounded dejected.
Harry saw that and comforted her, "master its fine, even though it didn't work, it mean you can do better the next time to make it work."
"Aww! Well aren't you sweet!!" She felt her mood lighten up.
Angelica pulled out another bandage and wrapped it around while speaking, "It's pretty much closed up but just to be on the safe side I'll wrap this around you, okay?" She finished wrapping the wound quickly.
Harry nodded his and then started licking Angelica's face making her laugh.
'Ahh! She finally smiled!' He felt better now seeing her smile. When Angelica came back she stay in the bathroom for a long time worrying the both of them. So seeing her smile made them relieved.
"Ok stop! Anyway listen up, we're leaving at 12 tomorrow so be ready I'll take you out to have some fun!!"
Helix and Harry listened but became worried. Is it really alright if they went out?
Both of them were a rare species of beast from Lone Canyon. So there fur was actually black and dark blue, unlike other wolves found in forests. They were captured because there species specialized in magic and maniac hunting. They could be considered the strongest in the Canyon. So many hunter tend to capture cubs instead of grown wolves because of the difficulties.
"If your worries about going out then don't!" Angelica spike breaking there doubting thoughts.
She pointed her index finger at her chest and said to them, "You have me! So don't worry about others I'll protect you!!"
Both wolves felt a sort of relief and happiness fall upon them so the both of them jumped onto Angelica making her fall down onto the ground. She started laughing and petting their heads.
Their night was much more cheerful here then what was happening in the other side.
Ivan leaned on the railing of the balcony looking at the half moon. After Angelica left him, he felt down so he came back to the study to and worked non stop. It was only now that he started taking a break.
He stared at the moon for a long time.
He sort of felt regretful towards Angelica. His words came out hurtful and he could tell that her silent cold attitude was completely blocking him out from entering.
Knock! Knock!
He heard the sound of the door being knock but he didn't turn away from the view. He heard the door open and he could already guess who it was.
Lance looked at the desk with shock. Almost all the work he gave earlier was completed. He wondered what happened to the Duke when he went out.
He could tell that the Duke was abnormally quite, which means something bad has happened. He looked at the man in the balcony and sighed. He went to the desk and fixed up all the papers, before walking towards the man.
"Duke.. what's wrong?" Lance asked as he leaned on the railing along with him.
"I think I've offended Lady An."
Lance: "....." you went out to offend someone who helped us? Are you an idiot?
He really wants to ask that but he still kept the question to himself.
"What exactly did you say? For some reason I feel that Lady An wouldn't feel offended if you didn't say anything hurtful."
Ivan felt an invisible arrow hit him. He glared at Lance and turned away to look at the moon again.
"If.. I'm not wrong.. then I might have said that a witch shouldn't causal walk around." He said in a regretful tone.
"....." Oh God Duke, what have you done?!??
He turned to look at Lance's face and he could see that the face he was making was as if he was looking at an idiot.
"Don't look at me like that. I didn't mean to sound that way but my words left my mouth faster than I comprehend it. Honestly I feel that I'm the worst."
"That's because you are."
"Hey!" He felt annoyed and he snarled back at Lance. He felt another arrow hit him making him feel guilty.
"What? Duke you many not know but it sounded like you questioned why she was here as a witch. What happened if she was here for another reason?"
"That.. she was here because a friend was injured."
"See? Now she must have felt upset at your questions. I wouldn't be surprised if she left the next day because of your unmindful words." He let out a sarcastic laugh.
"Ivan you screwed up. Your lucky she was a kind witch otherwise you would have gotten cursed by her."
Ivan stayed quite. All he did was look at the moon as if it was silently listening to their conversation.
