64 The Teasing Duke

Angelica's heels hit the floor as she walked and her hips moving side to side as if she were listening to a tune.

To bad is was a annoyed tune.

She continued to walk down faster but when she turned back she saw the man right on her heel. A shocked and confused gaze stared at him.

"What the hell?! Why are you following me?!" She snarled at the man.

"I'm not. I'm just going the same way as you." Ivan grinned.

He had been on the losing side for to long. It time for his revenge against this witch. Ivan gave that annoying grin that as crumpled her face. He loved seeing it.

"Tch. Then go ahead." She said and continued walking down.

The more she ran away the more he wanted to follow her and capture her. Like a little white fox being hunted by a black wolf. Of course you already know who they are.

"Oh I can't. She is too cute." He chuckled at his quite words.

Hiding away his presence, he followed her with light steps. If anything her one weakness was relying on magic to much. But she knew her way around a sword at least making him feel relieved.

He saw her turn around and quickly hid himself near the corridor. He felt this breath hitch and wondered why he did that but found it amusing as it was the first time he had done that.

Angelica saw the the scary Duke was gone and finally felt relieved. That man can read people like a book and it honestly bothers her a lot. Especially at the time they were in the forest.

Reading the flow of magic is hard but once you master it. You can avoid giving away your flow magic and hide yourself completely.

Angelica was already to that stage but he who lived longer than her had long past that stage and development a more advanced way of using it.

He paused when she paused and noticed that she was staring out the mansion window. After they arrived they arrived here Angelica seemed a bit lost in thought.

Looking at her back made him feel a bit sorry for the witch.

Her walking had started once more and he knew she was heading for the temporary research spot he had set up for her. She took a sharp turn and continued walking. He sighed and easily glided past her making her jump once again.

"What the heck?! Where are you even coming from?!" She yelled in frustration.

"Princess, you shouldn't let your guard down or wolves will come eat you. Especially in such a place." He golden eyes gazed down on her.

Angelica blinked her eyes and wondered what he met by wolves. "But this is a mansion. Duke, you don't perhaps leave your wolves unattended in a mansion? Isn't that a bit stupid?" She questioned and ridiculed him.

Ivan thought she understood his words but it seems she didn't.

"Princess, are you serious?" mirth filled his gaze.

Angelica sighed out in exasperation and asked him, "I don't even understand! What do you mean wolves?! Tch! Your annoying! Go away!" She walked right past him and entered a room.

Ivan stood froze with his hand covering his mouth in surprise. His heart started beating faster thinking that she may have not understood that he was a man who sticks to his desire.

And now his desire was to catch her in his arms one way or another. He entered the room easily breaking the concentration she had.

"What do you want duke? I'm right now very close to cursing you!" She grimaced.

"Princess, you do know that I'm confident enough to break a curse too." He smiled and saw him lip twitch from anger.

'You shouldn't do that...' he look at the pink lips. But remember that he shouldn't be doing that.

"Get out! Get out! Your in the way of my work!!" Her eyes glinted a bit and Ivan knew that was her breaking point.

"Princess, wait a second a listen to me. It serious this time."

Angelica tried to stay level headed and listen to him. One more... one more thing he does...

She'll kill him.

"Go on" a cold expression glazed her face.

Ivan smiler much to her annoyance, "Princess, I don't think you understood my point when I said wolves."

Angelica was taken aback to that ridiculous statement he said earlier and wondered what he meant. But she had a feeling that it meant something bad.

"Wolves..." he said walking towards her while she was thinking and said looking down on her, "are referring to the men that watch you for your beauty and want nothing more than to drag you to-" he paused and whispered in her ear.

"-bed." He laughed and pulled back to see he stunned face.

He laughed out loud breaking her thought process and she picked up the book and threw it at him which he easily caught.

"Ice" all of a sudden he was surrounded by thousands of tiny but sharp ice shards making him grin.

"Shatter" he said and one by one they popped on broke into pieces.

"You-" she growled.

"It's self-defence. You attacked me first." He continued annoyingly.

Angelica face was burning red form anger, embarrassment and many other emotions that she wished disappeared in an instant.

"You are simply terrible!! The worse!!" She yelled.

Ivan shrugged off her words since they were true and Lance had said so many times to him that he understood at this point.

This man was simply evil!!!

Angelica felt a throbbing pain in her shoulder and her hand gripped the table. But she slipped and started falling forward.

His eyes widened at the suddenly falling of the Princess. He quickly caught her and found that her face was filled with sweat and she was breath hard.

"What happened? Angelica? Angelica?!" He called out and saw her trying to control her breathing with slow deep breaths.

Picking her body up had made her lie down on the sofa in the room and went to get a cup of water. He quickly came back and gave her the cup and made her drink it slowly.
