68 It’s Been Awhile

He never thought that living a dense person would hurt him mentally and exhausted him physically. He didn't even know what to do with this women.

"You know what? After you heal the King I'll tell you what I meant. So make sure you don't approach any men." He warned and looked up to meet her eyes that had confusion in them.

Ivan let go of his hold on her and lifted the magic barrier away and also the magic that restricted her power. But before he could say anything a flash of silver went by and the sound of the door closing shut was heard.

He blinked at the door and then let out a chuckle seeing her flee from him like her life depended on it.

But it won't be easy next time. He had a dark grin that held something deep within.

Angelica sighed and rubbed her neck and tried to forget everything that transpired a few hours ago but it still stay stuck to her mind. She needed to focus now!

She dressed up in a simple black outfit that she used for assassination. It's been awhile since she wore it and noticed that it was a bit tight around her chest but ignored it. She down at have time for being comfortable.

Pulling out her staff and then to the group around her. She gave a smile and said into her thing, "Goodluck!" And she disappeared.

Angelica was really lucky today wasn't she? She put on a simple mist and invisibility spell. Mist was to cover up her movements and help the invisibility spell. She walked with light foot steps as she maneuvered through the huge palace. She stop for a quickly second when she saw the 4 guards coming this way. She stepped to the side and watched them walk right past her and she smiled listening to their conversation.

"Don't you feel cold? It's even foggy today."

"Well you know that autumn has foggy and rainy days it's not a surprise."

"Ah, that's true. Haven't you heard the rumour?" One of the knight nudged the other one beside him and it brought a group of curiously stares towards him.

"The Old Faction is going crazy since the news spread that Duke Constantine is coming back. I heard that he also found a healer that can help the King!"

"Oh word! Isn't that great news!!"

"Ah finally! I can't wait for the king to come back! I swear the nobles have become cocky without him around!!"

Right. Not everyone knew that three of them were cursed and only knew that the king was suffering from an illness while his left and right hand were busy helping around the palace while his younger brother ruled and controlled the noble faction.

Angelica sighed and continued down the path she had tracked. Using the spirits as a guide towards Cathal's magic she soon made it towards the room.

And she had to say that it took a very long time. Angelica touched the door and sighed shakily and then looked around. Snapping her fingers she put up a barrier that only higher level magic user can break through.

She pushed the door open and walked in. She causally walked over to the window and opened it letting the moonlight fall into the room as she sat down on the edge, adorning the view. But the only thing that ruined this was the painful groans coming from the man who was suffering from the poison.

"Stupid Student, you have the opportunities to ask for help her why don't you ask me? Cathal... do you want to live or die?" She asked not looking at him.

Cathal could only see his teacher figure through the bedroom curtain and he let out another painful groaned and spat out in annoyance, "A teacher who disappears without a word... and appears again... of course I want to live.. but not at the cost of losing my greatest rival..."

This brat is still thinking about competing with me now?!

She sighed and got up and walked towards the bed. She pushed open the curtain and saw the most horrific sight in her life.

Half of his face was covered with curse marks and even cover all of his left side of the body. She looked at his heart and saw that the curse barely touched him.

He was on the verge of dying. Gritting her teeth she picked up Cathal and slung his arm around her and made him lean on her. She muttered a few words and the room had blinding light appear in it.

This had caught the attention of the knight and servants working in the Palace and they started running towards his room. Breaking in the saw the room in shambles like something exploded in it. But the main question was...

-Where was the King?

A state of chaos started in the palace as everything went into lock down as he king was missing from his bedroom.
