93 Dark Humour

Angelica leaned against the table while reading the paper. The church in this place was not a small place. She sent a notice to Helix and he soon came back with info and Ivan also shared his side of knowledge.

But the room was being suppressed by Angelica aura, who was very angry at the moment. The other were on edge, expect for Ivan who seemed to not mind her anger. He already saw this coming anyway.

"Duke Constantine had been enchanted by a witch. They say his pure soul is being corrupted and that the witch should die. They say that all witches hidden in the captain should move out or perish with the wall of the capital." She said out loud.

"A silver haired witch, the bringer of misfortunes. Should be arrested! Pff! What is this crap?" Angelica coldly laughed not knowing everyone in the room was tense by her loud talking.

"Ah? The church usually was better in the past. But who knew they like to bring down noble and other races, claiming that they are pure? Who do we worship? I don't believe in god anyway and their fake ass god is just a brain-dead boy with some high-holy powers put onto a pedestal."

"Maybe I can go on a killing streak again?" She thought out loud

"Princess... you should causally remark those in this room?" Lance sighed and hoped that this woman was serious.

"Ah, Glasses. Your right. But I was half serious about the idea." She laughed and continued to read the report.

"So this is how noble do their work? I'm actually amazed how half the humans in this world act like other races are trash. Yes, witches..."

"They eat hearts and love to decorate their walls with dead humans. I haven't even attempted that, maybe I should give that dumb person a praise for this new idea."

Angelica was too mad behind this information that all her remark started sounding like death and plotting for a huge massacre.

Ivan who was quite sighed out loud making everyone turn to him, "Angelica, your sense of humour is getting better."

"I know, right? I mean I haven't learned everything about humans but sometimes I want to dissect them and figure out why they hate us."

"Fear? Power? Beauty? Our kind is very beautiful? Isn't that why you've fallen for me?" She laughed at her own joke.

"I think you know the answer so stop teasing me. Anyway, look like you won't be leaving this mansion for awhile due to your thought being out in the open." Ivan sighed and saw her face scrunch up and retort.

"I'm being rational. I have blown up churches and killed priest but I don't do it without a reason. This is just stupid? They are even pressuring the King. This is so funny? If the old man was here, the old people at the church wouldn't be this active! And I'm sane! I don't like blood anyways."

'That's a lie.' Everyone in this room knew how much Angelica messes with blood. Be it her power or others.

"Princess, what are you gonna do?"

"Go out." She scoffed.

Ivan laughed and decided to explain to them, "Put on a great show then. Will be waiting."

"Don't read my mind anymore." Angelica spoke and suddenly remembered something, "Hey I've been wondering..."

Everyone looked at her as she thought hard about something, "That old man the Duke Heth?... whatever his face is, what exactly have you done to let his plans fall all the way to this point? He seeked a witch that practiced dark arts and has a seer. Why is he desperate? What is he desperate for?"

Lance looked at her and sighed, "It happens during the previous Kings rule. Duke Hethburn is actually related to the royal family. His ancestors have a long history and for many years their family yearns for the crown. The reason the Duke is so crazy about the royal family is all because of his urge to have a pure bloodline. Even thought his mother was a Marquis daughter, he still deems that the throne rightfully belongs to their family and not the current royals. You can basically blame it on their crazy bloodline."

"Hmm? What have you done Ivan? Why does he hate you so much?"

"Like the shield. As you know I have a deal with the previous king and this and that happened. I became like this just to protect these kids before I leave for my kingdom in the north. But then the cursed happened and the king order me to look for a cure."

"Leading to various problems!!" Lance groaned in frustration because of all the problem this guy has caused.

"Shall I visit him?" She asked only to get denial from all four men.

"No." Ivan glared at her.

"Absolutely not." Lance immediately diagreed.

"Are you crazy?" Travis who was quite even sounded out.

"Master, should I ruin your work bench?" Helix threatened which made her flinch.

The other three looked at Helix. Lance looked at the kid with wonder, "Did you ever ruin her work bench?"

"I did and Harry helped. She didn't want to rest after staying awake for four days straight so we threatened to ruin her work. Of course she shrugged it off. And so when she went away-"

"Enough. That prank was the most scariest thing I've faced in my life." Angelica rolled her eyes at this quite wolf of her. "When did you get this talkative?"

"The people at his mansion told me to do so. And Lance is fun to talk too." He innocently answered.

"See, if I didn't know you were sixteen, I would have believed you were five." Angelica sighed.

"All apart of the thing you've taught me."

"And cheekiness came from Lance too? What shall I do? You seem to like him more than me?" Angelica smiled playfully.

'Maybe it's better if I leave them to Lance since I won't be coming back here.' She thought.

A tinge of happiness for the fact that these little wolves of hers are finally open to new things and people.

'I should go to the square where me and Alina were dancing.' The crowd was big and it was better of it was. She was going to show the people how much of scary witch she was.

A grin appeared on her lips and her eyes crinkled into crescents. This would be fun.

"But Princess what exactly will you do?"

"Community service."

They blinked their eyes, Lance finally understood what she meant, "So are you planning to heal someone on the brink of death?"

"I guess, I need to do that. I'll just find some with a really severe health condition and heal him. When they find out it's a 'Kind' witch who did it. They will understand that we can heal people better than those puny priest. Better yet, we should invite a priest with the biggest mouth!!" Angelica said.

But she never thought this plan went better than she expected.
