Training Grounds

Kabal leaned over the scrolls, he was ogling the holy scroll in front of him. He reached for it and picked it up, "How about this one, it seems as if it gives off a denser aura."

Kabal reached over and passed the scroll into the hands of KJ. "Oh, this scroll, well I guess we can open it and find out. I think I'll be keeping these two scrolls with me for now. I will meditate on the first scroll and try to gain an understanding. If push comes to shove, I will go back to the palace and meet with Alfin again. I have a method of cultivating the first scroll that could potentially be much faster."

KJ caressed his chiseled chin, "Hmm, what about these other scrolls. I don't have anywhere near the amount of power I should have even though all 7 scrolls are in my possession. If someone not within The Endless Abyss takes this and learns it, it may strike doom for The Sea Dwellers if Alfin cannot step in and save them. I'll keep these 2 scrolls with me for now and I will return the other 5 to King Alfin soon

KJ: Now to open the next scroll. This one goes by the name, "Thunder Body." I assume it cultivates an internal type of spiritual energy whereas the first scroll was an external art. The Thunder Point Strike is above many other techniques at the same level however the Thunder Body will be a game-changer. Once I master this technique, I will be able to help you train as well Kabal

Kabal thought to himself for a bit and then spoke out loud, KJ was still immersed in the content of the scrolls. "KJ I've been thinking and why don't I train as well. During the time in which you're training I usually just sit at home or explore outside. I'm kind of feeling like a housewife. I was thinking I could train as well, at least until I become an upper mortal. After that, I can continue with your training in the future. What do you think?"

KJ nodded in response, "I like the way you've been thinking. The grind never stops, as were training, others can be doing the same as well. We don't know their conditions and results so we can only make sure that ours are the best that we could have possibly achieved. Only by doing this can you rest upon the pinnacle of the world."

Kabal's eyes shimmered. KJ wasn't any ordinary man, he was destined for greatness. It emanates around him as he walks, his character even brings allies and foes together.

Kabal: If anyone can rule the world it must be you, I for one haven't seen someone as capable. Even King Alfin is helping our cause, albeit unknowingly but still, you have a way with the world

KJ smirked. "I just have knowledge that is unprecedented to the rest of the world, nothing too special. Watch as things unfold, only when things seem to be out of my hands, a new ruler will be born."

KJ: I'm gonna take a quick nap and meditate. By the time I finish my body should be better adjusted. It should be enough to allow me to fight fluently

Kabal: If you are confident in yourself, I won't hold you back. What do you plan on doing though, more training with Alfin?

KJ: Kabal, I'll be heading to the Kingdom Training Grounds. It is where all the youth go to train and show off their capabilities. Some may even be recruited to the army through this method. When I get back home after testing my new abilities at the Training Grounds, I will give you a gift.

Kabal seemed a bit curious, "What kind of gift will it be?"

KJ: I will give you a martial art that you will be able to train. I will teach you how to perfect and master the techniques. As long as you continue to progress you should be able to become an upper mortal. You can even break past a few realms if you have talent in it

Kabal: I'll be waiting for such an art. I'll let you rest now. You'll need all the strength you can get if you're fighting against people even half as strong as Ayla and Sindra

KJ closed his eyes, he was already commencing his peaceful nap. "I have my own plans, if anything goes wrong it'll only end up in a broken bone or two. Nothing some healing couldn't fix."

Kabal looked at KJ as if he was crazy but decided not to say anything. He might be crazy, but he isn't an idiot. Nothing should go wrong. He thought to himself.

CREAK CREAK CREAK

The door of the house flung open and KJ walked outside. His stance wasn't completely perfect but if anyone who hadn't met him, saw him, they wouldn't know a difference. KJ walked with a purpose and kept his eyes straight the entire time. After a long bit of walking, he finally got to a massive marble rectangle with a stone diamond shape decorating the interior of the floor. The entire thing was a massive stage.

KJ looked up at the beautiful stage and the numerous fighters atop it. He pushed some air out of his nose, "So I guess these are the Training Grounds. I do see some fighters who look to be competent. However, a lot of them are very young, at least they have them fighting and learning as soon as possible. It'll help them grow faster."

KJ made eye contact with a few potential opponents. He was scanning his competition; he didn't want someone too easy, but he still wanted someone worthwhile.

Many of them opted for the use of weapons like shanks, the wealthier ones had actual swords and proper weapons. The bigger Sea Dwellers chose to talk with their fists.

KJ was still scanning the people on the Training Grounds when a lanky purple Sea Dweller came up to him.
