A good distance away from KJ was the man that was supposed to become the new King of The Endless Abyss. However, KJ now took any chances he had to have that position. KJ also took most of the man's future away from him and he would probably never know it.
Raiju was a large and towering Sea Dweller. He had the same colour as other sea dwellers. Just like how the padding on humans' hands and feet are a different colour from their skin. All Sea Dwellers padding was a white-ish colour that was mixed with their skin tone. As the white reached the skin it would transition into a different colour. Raiju himself was a dusty yellow colour.
His towering figure was supported with a set of broad protruding shoulders. His chest and arms were massive as well as his legs. He was a unit, a beast that should be left alone, to say the least. His eyes were a deadly golden-yellow and they were in the shape of slits. His body had the attributes of an alligator. He had rough, scaly and rugged skin. He nails were sharpened into pointy claws. His hands were massive as well, the force behind them was surely tremendous. He had jagged teeth and two of them were longer than the rest, they were his canines and they stuck out ferociously.
He was a man that the younger Sea Dwellers feared, and his peers respected. His head was more alligator-like than a lot of the other Sea Dwellers and this could be seen in his gargantuan strength as well. He also had a long, thick alligator-like tail that swung behind him as a weapon. He carried a lone spear that was placed behind him. His robes were bulky, and they were white. His waist was tied in a knot with his robes. Red animal hairs were packed artistically around the knot. He also had a mane-like decoration for his robes. It was the fur of a white beast and it laid around his neck, it looked similar to a tiger's mane. His wrists and ankles had a red string tied around them and his arrow did as well.
Raiju slammed his spear into the ground. He pointed it towards KJ, "Was it you who did this." The pain and anger in his voice were evident, he was pissed.
KJ put his hands behind his back and answered playfully, "The other man said it was me, do you take him as a liar?"
Raiju folded his arms over his towering chest. He was almost a foot taller than KJ and he was surely more than double his width. "Oh, so you like to play games."
KJ copied his posture, swinging his arms over his chest. "I guess you could say that. Why don't we play a game then, huh, what do you say, just the two of us?"
Raiju was no way more ticked off, "Stop stalling kid, whatever you're waiting for won't save you. Any last words."
KJ continued as if he hadn't heard Raiju at all. "As for the game… how about it, I'll give you what you want. I will give you a match against me but... it will be a duel between spears."
Raiju let out a sarcastic laugh, "Hah, you embarrass my brother and now you wish to embarrass me. Are you even worthy of fighting against a true spear apprentice? I promise you I am much more skilled than my younger brother."
KJ: Worthy or not these will be the rules. Land an attack and you win. Oh, and it's not a game if there isn't a prize
Raiju was slowly losing his temper. "When I win, I want to do whatever to you, you will suffer through it all, even if I demand your life it will be mine."
KJ placed a hand over his heart and the other in the air.
KJ: I KJ promise wholeheartedly in front of everyone here that I will abide by Raiju's wishes.
His playful countenance suddenly changed. "Now for my terms, well…. You seem to be proud of your title as a true spear apprentice. If you do not manage to land a single attack you will give up the spear." KJ raised an eyebrow in a cheeky fashion, "Will you play the game Raiju."
Raiju gripped his spear tightly in his right hand. "I guess I'm about to show everyone how to run a circus because I'm dealing with a clown. You're forgetting your spear and clown shoes little boy aren't you a little unprepared for your circus act."
KJ sighed in response to Raiju's stupidity. "To be completely fair I wanted to put myself at a disadvantage as much as possible. The spear is one of the weapons I neglect the most so I decided it would be the perfect weapon to use. It will surely help you learn our differences."
KJ looked around and stuck a handout. "Can anyone lend me their spear; any spear will be fine and if it is damaged, I will repay you after the fight."
KJ's hand was immediately met with a cold iron like metal. It was strong and sturdy; it would get the job done. It was a spear, one that was from their army.
Zegrid met KJ with a warm smile, "I won't be able to interfere as I won't be of much help but the least I can do is to lend my spear. It isn't the best though."
KJ took this help to heart. "Thank you Zegrid, after this battle, I will give you a proper thank you."
Zegrid nodded to KJ and made his way back into the crowd.
Raiju was now getting into a battle stance, he gritted his teeth and spoke slowly. "Don't let your weapon break too quickly, you may die in an instant."
KJ noticed his eyes.... the eyes of a killer.
