Meeting The Ancestral Golden Dragon

KJ: I require a sword. A grand and powerful sword. One that is in the Palace's treasury, a buried away gem. I promise it will be put to good use

Alfin: yes, of course, you may. Here, follow me and I will take you to the treasury

KJ followed behind Alfin.... they walked through what felt like a maze. After a while, Alfin finally stopped walking. He slowly reached into his robes and took out a large silver key. He reached for two golden doors and inserted the key into the lock. The locks were in the shape of a sea serpent's head.

CLICK CLACK

The door was unlocked. With a slight push, light flooded the inside of the treasury. Mountains of gold and jewels were littered about. KJ scanned the giant room until something caught the corner of his eye.

He jerked his head to the left and stared at one thing. It was a glossy wooden rack. It looked incredibly elegant and held up a single sword. The sword looked to be made out of pure gold.

KJ walked up and ran his finger along the blade softly. A long line formed on his skin and it wasn't long before blood began trickling down. The blade was engraved with countless serpents entangled with each other, their heads reaching for the tip of the blade, it looked like an art piece. The rest of the sword was pitch black. Whenever spiritual energy was injected into the sword the golden engravings would glow intensely.

KJ pointed towards the sword and picked it up from the rack. "This is the sword that I'd like to take if it isn't a problem."

Alfin was a bit surprised but didn't seem to care too much. "Oh, that sword? I'm not an especially great sword wielder so I've tried giving this sword to members of the palace. However, none of them seem to find anything special about the blade. Yes, it may be incredibly sharp however it has no magical ability asides from a light show."

KJ ignored his warnings. "I'm sure I'll find some use for this weapon. Please be at ease."

Alfin: fine.... I suppose it won't impact the palace negatively at all

KJ: Thank you, my king

After thanking Alfin, KJ went ahead and put the sword away. "My King we can leave the treasury now. To be honest the reason I came was to see the Ancestral Dragon. I feel like it will be able to help me breakthrough to the Spirit Connection Realm."

With Alfin leading the way it wasn't too long before they were already at the tunnel exit. Before them was the marvellous Golden Dragon. It swam around in its prison beautifully. Its elegance and splendour were unmatched.

KJ: My King, with your permission..... I believe my body can withstand the Dragon's pressure

Alfin: take your time approaching the Dragon. If the pressure is too unbearable call my name and I will pull you out

KJ nodded to Alfin before turning to face the Dragon. Step after step he closed the gap between the two.

As KJ continued to walk forward the pressure on his body increased. 5 steps.... 10 steps... 20.....30

KJ continued forwards until he randomly stopped. The sound of his teeth grinding filled the cave. His legs were wobbling and he struggled to advance. He was so close yet so far.

Alfin noticed the trouble that his disciple was facing. The king reached out with his hand and a single strand of white aura shot out from it. The aura travelled until it reached KJ and covered him.

As soon as this aura covered his entire body he felt a warm sensation. His previous struggle began to ease up. The pain he felt before was gone.

KJ lifted his head up and continued marching forwards. After a short period of time, he was finally a few feet away from the giant Dragon.

It was giant, unbelievable in every aspect.... simply majestic.

It shined with destructive power. It's golden ferocious eyes met with KJ's calm glare. As soon as their eyes met..... KJ closed his eyes in response. After a few seconds passed.... the Golden Dragon slowly reciprocated and closed its eyes as well.

King Alfin made a loud gasping sound "So... it was fated to be. He's made a connection with the Ancestral Dragon already. Now I can put all my worries away. The only way a connection could form this fast is if KJ was telling the truth. He really was guided by the Dragon in his dreams like he said." Alfin watched his student from afar with a smile plastered across his face.

Alfin: If he could reach the threshold of the Spirit Connection Realm.... I dare say..... he'd be the greatest genius the Endless Abyss has ever seen

KJ closed his eyes and sat in a lotus position. His mind was filled with darkness when a single flash was seen. As soon as he saw it..... the flash instantly disappeared.

With the energy, Alfin was using he could check the status of KJ and also his thoughts.

Alfin: So the Dragon has sent a thread of consciousness into his mind. He is destined for greatness with an aptitude like this

The reason KJ was so well at adapting to this spiritual energy.... well it was because he already faced it. He has battled with Raiju and even crossed swords with Alfin in his past life. He had long since known what spiritual energy felt like. It was so familiar to him.

A thundering sound filled KJ's mind and blocked Alfin from within. A deep and heavy voice filled his mind. An ancient aura slowly leaked from within KJ.
