The Treasury

KJ dropped his hands under Kabal and lifted him to his feet. He looked at him with loving eyes. "Kabal take my shoulder, it's about time we head home."

Kabal's bruised and battered body was leaning against KJ as they both walked back into the house. KJ put Kabal into his bed and helped him get comfortable.

Kabal was talking nonstop about the technique and things he may have discovered while being beaten. "As I fell in and out of consciousness it was clear. It was even clearer on the walk back. I was so mentally exhausted and ready to complete the training at the halfway point. Even though I mentally lost consciousness my body was still being attacked for an unknown period of time... yet..... my body is still working. I endured much more than I thought possible and no blood was spilled and my life is in no immediate danger. I am fine. My body is a weapon that my mind will sharpen."

KJ smiled at Kabal's understanding. "Well you sure seem really talkative, you want to go back for another round..... just kidding. Take this time to remember what you've learned. It will only get worse from now on. Well, I guess that depends on your mindset."

After that whole fiasco, KJ was finally done. He went over to his bed and slept for the next 3 days. Whenever he woke up he would have a light meal and do whatever else he needed to before going back to sleep. When he woke up he went to check on Kabal. Kabal was asleep and his wounds seemed to have healed to a decent extent. There was a green ointment beside Kabal's bed. KJ has been coming to help apply it every day.

He waited over Kabal until he woke up again. As soon as Kabal's eyes fluttered he was up and out of the house.

AHHHH AHHHH AHHH UGHHHH

Kabal was back out in the courtyard receiving strikes. This time he held up for a bit longer before completely collapsing. With his body also believing in the teaching... he will undoubtedly grow much faster.

KJ: Kabal you know I'll have to beat you twice as hard. I don't want to but I won't be at the house for at least a week. I'm going back to the palace to continue my training

Kabal's weak voice leaked out. "Try not to break anything and prepare me meals before you leave. While you're gone I have to focus on recovering so I don't want to waste energy making food."

KJ beat down a bit harder as he heard Kabal complaining. "Of course Kabal, I love you far too much to have you suffer."

After another session of Kabal ending up multicoloured.... KJ finally got to the kitchen.

He cut up a few plants and vegetables to make a few light and nutritious meals for Kabal. KJ then reached for the fish and fried a large amount. He then sprayed a tangy reddish sauce on the fried fish. He also got some type of cheesy yogurt mixture and threw a couple of fruits into it. He then waited for everything to cool down before putting it in the fridge.

After KJ finished packing meals for Kabal he finally got ready himself and headed out. He closed the door behind him and followed the bright marketplace ground. He marvelled at the scenery as he enjoyed his walk to the palace. After a bit of walking, he finally stopped in front of the door.

Right beside the massive doors were 2 people on each side. It was Sindra and Ayla.

Ayla: Child what have you come for?

Sindra scoffed at Ayla. "Ffff, that is no way to speak to the successor. What is it that you need my lord."

KJ bowed slightly as a greeting. "Sindra I've come to meet with King Alfin. I have business with him regarding my training. I have also brought the scrolls with me." KJ brought out 7 golden scrolls from within a brown leather bag.

Sindra spoke respectfully, "Then you may come in."

Sindra and Ayla both worked together to open the doors before moving out of the way for KJ. KJ then walked forwards and kept walking until he saw a figure facing away from him in a chair. The figure was King Alfin.... he turned his chair and locked eyes with KJ.

Alfin: I'm pleasantly surprised, I can't say I was truly expecting you today

KJ: I have taken my time to rest and heal my injuries. I've also sat down and read the Thunder Point Strike and I feel as if I understand a bit. My power has also increased heavily from before I was an upper mortal. Now all of my abilities have been enhanced. I even brushed up on some of my martial arts at the Training Grounds. There was a spear user named Raiju, he seems like a young talent

Alfin looked as if he thought for a moment before speaking. "Raiju.... the name seems familiar. I think he's one of the young men the Army men have taken a liking to. I've seen them training him."

KJ: I'd like to take him under me if possible. As a successor, it's always smart to make strong connections. Raiju will be a future pillar of The Endless Abyss. I've already somewhat spoken with Taihe

Alfin: yes take him under you and train him well. Secure his loyalty and do not betray his efforts. He is a citizen..... not just a pawn

KJ: of course I understand. I also have one request if possible

Alfin's voice became noticeably gentler, "of course you can ask for whatever you need. As long as it will help you that is."
