After a minute of flying we reached the building and Azrieal and I stood on the side lines as the twins and Uriel drew their weapons and stood in a fighting stance, Tragedy brandished a sword while his brother had his bow and arrow already notched. Uriel had her pike put and her wings pinned to her back. "On my count," Azrieal shouted I looked around and noticed that a few angels were perched on the lip of the roofless building, this was probably the first time most of them have seen a reaper fight since Lucifer's fall. I glance back at the twins and then back at Azrieal and watch his hand fall.
"Fight!" Before anyone watching could react the twins jumped into action; Tragedy leaped at Uriel slashing and thrusting keeping Uriel on her toes, Comedy loosed arrow after arrow focusing on her feet making sure to miss by just a little bit each time. Uriel was holding her own nicely, she dodged every slash and delivered a few of her own, then without warning Tragedy changed his weapon to a scythe and began spinning it in elaborate ways nicking her cheek and both arms and her right wing. Comedy changed his weapon to a katana and leaped towards the slightly injured angel. Uriel now in close combat with two high ranking reapers started to lose her ground, staying mostly on the defensive she tried her best to block the twins ferocious attacks. I glanced at the angels above and seen their shocked faces I smiled and turned back to the battle at hand. Tragedy kicked Uriel's legs from under her and she landed hard on her right wing. The defeated angel tried to get up but was met with the twins blades pointed at her heart.
Azrieal clapped and I joined in, there was a roar of cheers and applause from the angel bystanders. "That was a great fight, we should do that again some time." Comedy said then he winked and I noticed Uriel's cheeks turn a deep scarlet. "So Uriel, I am impressed not many people can hold their own against one of the twins much less both. Azrieal I've got things to discuss with Uriel alone please, I'll see you next time I'm in the Sliver City." With that I clapped Azrieal on the back and he took off back to his station.
"Boys will you leave us wait by the front gate, Uriel follow me." I took off as the twins made their way to the gate. Uriel pulled something from in her armor and cracked it open, she started to glow and I saw her wounds began to heal, I made a mental note to grab a few of those soon. She took off and hovered by me, "Have you ever met the Creator Uriel?" I asked as we slowly made our way to the spire. "No Lord I haven't I know my father is his Right Hand but not many angels have been in the presence of the Creator." I scouled I was sure the angels would have been allowed to visit the Creator whenever they wished as the reapers could visit Lord Death. "Well consider this your lucky day Uriel, that's where we're heading." She looked indifferent about the idea.
When we reached the spire we touched down and the guardian glared at Uriel. "I need an audience with the Creator." I said plainly confused about angelic politics. The high seraph moved aside and we walked in and were at the throne room. Uriel looked around taking in the throne room's beauty as I looked at the Creator. We reached the foot of the throne and Uriel immediately bowed as did I. "Stand children, Arius, I see you were successful in your first mission." He stated as I stood. "Hand Uriel the pearl." I pulled the pearl marked angel and handed it to Uriel and watched her, she took it and I could see her hands where shaking, I figured it was because she was hand chosen by the Creator and she was standing in his presence for the first time, it reminded me of when I was chosen as Lord Death's Right Hand.
"Now my child place the pearl under your tongue, Arius repeat after me." Uriel did as she was told and I waited for the Creator to begin. The Creator extended his hand until it was feet from Uriel's head. Then He spoke but I couldn't understand at first the words seemed to change from His lips to my ears. "Uriel daughter of Michael Right Hand of the Creator," we spoke as one and I felt my energy activate my eyes glowing gold as they always do, the Creator's image became clearer and I saw he looked nothing as I imagined him, he looked to be a young man in his early 20's with short curly brown hair, his eyes were blank and emitted a blinding light, that must have made him nearly impossible to focus on from before. He wore a crown that shifted to show either angel, man, or demon, the three races He created. "I the Creator grant you the title of Horseman, you will ride out at the front of my army and will protect my creation to your dying breath, do you accept this gift?" My energy snapped off and the Creator became out of focus again. I held my breath watching Uriel curious as to what her answer would be. "I Uriel, daughter of Michael Right Hand of the Creator accept this gift and pledge my undying loyalty to your creation."
As the last words left her mouth a white beam of light shot from her chest and she screamed, I noticed eight wings sprig from her back sending blood behind her in a fine mist of crimson. Her halo grew brighter and brighter then dimmed down showing that another halo was present above her original one. Her eyes changed from her blank white to normal with purple iris' and her ears were pointed. After a few minutes the screams subsided and she dropped to the ground in a heap of feathers, blood, and flesh. "That was strange, what happened to her?" I asked my mouth hanging open in awe. "I gave her an enormous amount of power and her body had to adapt to hold it. In the angels case they gain wings and another halo, the ears and eyes change as a result of the power. With the demons he will gain more horns more wings and will take on a more human appearance, the dragon same as the others more wings the grow bigger in size and they get an extra tail. As for the reapers you were once human so your magic grows stronger than the rest and you gain ten wing remnants."
Uriel sat up straight and was breathing heavy for a few breaths then stood to her feet. "Your Grace, I feel different." Her voice was barely audible and her legs were shaking. I walked towards her and placed my hand on her back between her wings. "You've become the first Horseman Uriel, do not fear your power it will help you in your mission." The Creator's voice was soothing and seemed to calm her down considerably. "Thank you your Grace, what should I do know?" She asked as I pulled my hand from her back. "There is a planet between. the Silver City and Earth, it's nothing special but with your power you can shape it anyway u please, I will send your father when the others have been found," He waved his hand, "You are dismissed Uriel." She bowed and turned on her heels and headed back down to the Silver City.
"As for you Arius, you should return to Caemeterium, if I am correct Death needs to speak to you, ask him about the day you were made a reaper. You are dismissed Arius." He waved his hand and I bowed before walking back to the city. Once I reached the bottom step I activated my energy and called out to the twins, "You good boss? We saw the spire flash and you weren't answering us." I furrowed my brow. "What do you mean I wasn't answering I should have felt the pressure of you trying to connect with my energy." I took off towards the gate desperate to get back home. "I'm not sure," Tragedy's voice rang through my head as I landed in front of them.
"The Creator might have been blocking energy from getting into the spire, he doesn't seem to contact anyone through energy link like we do, last time I was there he had an angel whispering in His ear." I pulled out my scythe and swung it in a large arc opening a rift to Caemeterium. The twins simply shrugged and stepped through.
When we touched down infront of Caemeterium I pulled the key out and opened the door. "Well go get some rest ill talk to you after I've seen Lord Death. Dismissed!" They pounded a fist against their hearts and left to their rooms. I sighed and decided to call out to Anagi to see if she would meet me in my room later I activated my energy as I made my way to Lord Death's office. "Anagi you there?" I asked into the open foyer practically begging for a response. "Arius? Are you in trouble? I thought you were on a mission Lord Death told me you'd be gone for a while." I smiled and passed by a few younger reapers from Scythe who saluted I waved them off and continued to Lord Death's office. "I'm okay, the Creator sent me back home, Lord Death needed to speak to me before I made my way to the nineth circle, I just wanted to see you, can you meet me in my room?" I asked silently hoped she'd say yes. "Arius my love im on a mission right now, but I'll be done in maybe an hour I'll connect with u so u can open a rift and let me through, okay?" My heart skipped a beat and I smiled again, "Yes dear that's fine, I'll talk to you later." the connection severed just as I reached the doors to Lord Death's office.
"Lord Arius," Paula the commander of Skull squad saluted me before opening her arms for a hug. When I first became a reaper Paula was the closest thing to a mother I had, she had watched out for me while I was training and made sure I was eating and getting enough rest. "Paula how you been?" I embraced her as the sent of coconut filled my senses. We parted but she kept a hand on my arm. "I can't complain, Tristan has been giving me some trouble about the whole whose in charge crap but he's nothing I can't handle." She smiled and winked at me, "So kid why you back so soon I figured you'd be gone for a while." I shrugged then told her about the Silver City and what had happened since the meeting.
"Well damn, how the twins holding up? I bet Comedy tried takin a shot at that angel broad." We laughed before I continued. "He did but she held her own against both of them pretty well. If it was her against one of the twins alone im sure she'd have won." The doors opened behind us and Lord Death stepped through in his skeletal form. "Ah Arius you're back I tried reaching you come in we have much to talk about."
