Book 1:Chapter 13: Mad Monkey

A busting can be heard from a far followed by a strong gust of wind running towards his location, Nathan look over and a glimmer of hope shined on his eyes. While hugging the tree branch.

The beast sense this and they looked over the upcoming wind. Both beast and Nathan left them shocked.

It was a man with a long hair down to his shoulder inky black with dashing sword like eyebrow complementing his tall nose and his tall feature. This was none other Regal of course, but none of his appearance matters to the beast, but their animal instinct kicks in that Regal is so powerful by his presence alone that some of the smaller dog began to whimper and shake. Of course this beast are all low lvls around 5-8 at most. And the 2 meter wolf look at him ferociously, tho it didn't get intimidated by Regal it feels a sense of danger. To some extent this beast is sentient so it knows that this man in front of him is dangerous.

But what is more shocked than everyone is Nathan! Why?

"Dammit! Why does such a man exist! Such a perfect man that can only be seen in holly wood if they got photoshoped, does this really exist? How can the heavens so cruel! Holly wood looks plus more edit to sum it perfect. Dammit! Dammit! I already met my rival at this world in my harem. I won't yield!" Grinding his teeth looking over at Regals unblemished face.

When Regal got there he noticed the pack of dog like creature, and what got his attention in an instant is the two meter frame wolf because of his strong perception he sense that this wolf radiated an aura of danger. Tho his perception is strong when he's afar and the wolf is at the max of his range so he only knew the outline that it was 2 meters tall. But if he gets near enough he can knew it's appearance without seeing by relying in perception alone.

But this doesn't scared Regal his desire to battle grew strong. He knew that this wolf will propel him a step further in becoming and adventurer his lvl 50!

Looking at the wolf when he heard Nathan talking about him being photoshoped or being his harem's rival got him confused, such hostility. And he doesn't even know who's the guy.

"Hey are you the one who shouted that you need help and being a ruler at some point? You don't look like a future ruler at all, more like a monkey clinging on a tree" He teased the man because of his hostility, but of course Regal's remark meant no harm in fact he wanna help the man. But he does find the man appearance weird with the epitome of manliness savagery and valor face with thin figure is a little contradicting. But he's a human after all.

For Nathan that careless remark of Regal is like a Heavenly pagoda falling directly at his heart, his ego got hurt to the extreme and his eyes bloodshot.

"Hey what did you say punk? I'm a monkey? Well you look like you got plastic surgery 50 times over, you're just ahead of me of fives times of bath a day!" Gnashing his teeth while still tightly hugging the branch looking over at Regal.

When Regal heard it he got confused, but by the way the man said it gnashing his teeth with deep hatred he felt annoyed for some reason.

"Such hostility, I guess you don't need my help after all. Alright Mad Monkey deal with the mob below you first before showing hostility to me hmp" He then turned back starting walking away.

Of course the wolf only watch, because even if he fought Regal that will injure him in the process isn't great at all. He's quite sentient after all and let the man on the tree and him fight because of the hostility radiating from Nathan, it somehow made the wolf think that it's better to wait and devour them both afterwards.

After seeing Regal walking and on his five steps terror wash away Nathan's hostility and looking over the pack of mobs and the two meter wolf, he regretted instantly and shouted asking for help.

When Regal heard the man his brows furrowed knitting it together because of what he heard.

What Nathan said? "Hey I was just kidding, if you help me I will let you have 1/4 of my future harem and will become my butler status of this world's future ruler!" Nathan said, still not putting away his bravado. Because for him Regal is his rival on this worlds harem.

"Is that so? Haggle with me if you have the power to become a ruler first. Look at that wolf it's getting impatient and getting ready to devour you at any moment." Regal said.

Nathan look over at the wolf and saw it making odd expression and he shivered.

Of course the wolf doesn't understand them both! But his making odd expression because he thought of himself being smart and letting them fight then devour them both couldn't make it feel happy.

Still Nathan didn't yield and he steeled himself to haggle over Regal but when he saw him still walking away his mind spun stunned for a sec.

"Hey why are you walking away? Are you scared of this dogs, pffft so weak and you can't handle it? That's right keep walking away coward." Nathan said thinking of provoking Regal's pride to help him without owing his rival, for him that's a humiliation.

Regal paused for a bit and getting angry for a sake that his pride got trampled. But when he was gonna go and take action he thought.

'Wouldn't I be falling for his trap in helping him for free if I take action out of my anger? From the looks of it he's weak and helpless. Hmppp trying to con me ha. I already con someone before you' He thought grinning.

"At least I can walk at ease and without danger, unlike you hugging the branch like your beloced wife looking more like a Monkey not a Ruler of a domain. If you want me to help you what can I get on helping you?" Grinning of course when he saw the mans reaction he felt pleased not falling to a trap of the man thinking himself smart.

Nathan was stunned at the sudden turned of event.

"If you help me of course you'll owe me on favor when I became a rul..." Before he can finish he saw Regal shaking his head for a sec and continue walking away by now Regal's figure keep shrinking and he was now five meters away.

Nathan felt that he wanna cry but really can't offer any, even he himself thought of it risking his life for a dude? He would rather be a demon than to risk his life for a dude, if it's a maiden or princess without hesitation he would do it. But for a dude? He shivered at the idea and building up Regal's figure on his mind as a crafty schemer for girls a worthy rival at his harem.

But he really is hopeless, looking at his figure getting smaller. Nathan gritted his teeth and shouted.

"If you free me I'll tell you about the world I came in. I'm not from this world if you agree I'll tell you all information I knew about my world!"

Regal heard it due to his strong perception even tho he's five meters away from Nathan. He stopped but shaking his head for a moment.

"Even a child won't believe you, from another world yet weak as a an ordinary monkey and can't even fight out low level mobs. Nice try even if you are how will I know that you're not making things up." Regal shouted.

Nathan was stunned and gritting his teeth at the desperation, he don't know where he is. And he know Regal is strong because the wolf didn't attack him recklessly.

"It's true I'm not from this world I came from the world earth! If you help me I'll tell you all I knew. I can prove it to you and also..." Gritting his teeth "I'll be your lackey for a year you're strong and I can't escape from you. Also I'm righteous upright handsome a true man that doesn't go back on his word, I can even let you some of my har..."

At this point Regal interrupted him by running forward the pack of mobs manifesting a scarlet scythe that is bigger than him, slashing it horizontally in the air in from of the mobs harvesting lives of those low level mobs. Of course with Regal absurd stats and his level way above the mobs? 48 vs 5-8? even if it's a pack its no match. Only the wolf does.

Nathan stared in shocked wide eyes.

"That's more like it tell me about this earth that you said. Also even If I don't need a lackey someone collecting this hides by you doesn't seem a bad idea" Regal smugly smiled feeling that he conned another person with him being his lackey drop collector.

Of course to Nathan this smug smile is a smile of the devil which is his rival. Building up regal as a evil malicious schemer that will ruin his harm. And thinking himself as the righteous one who will be a holy and regal is the devil in his thoughts. But he gritted his teeth he is in fact too weak having the strength of climbing 10 meters above is already an achievement. Of course he doesn't know that he got conned.

"Alright let me take care of this, what's your name? Ah never mind I'll just call you Mad Monkey" Regal said smiling smugly feeling elated seeing the guy he conned being mad makes him like to con people more. But of course for Regal he isn't bad and won't go too far. He got here to help him in the first place, if it wasn't for the remarks of Mad Monkey he won't even think of the danger because Regal needs to level up anyways.

Nathan gnashed his teeth but feeling helpless and seeing regal killed beast without even looking at ease he felt afraid and building more vileness image in his brain while looking at Regal.

Now all that is left is the wolf who was shocked at how strong Regal is. One man with a Scythe One Mad man hugging a branch on a tree and he wolf staring at each other.

"Now you're my first step on becoming a full pledge adventurer" Regal said

'You demon once I'm done with this set back I'll be strong and cut you down so I can continue ruling this world with my harem' Mad Monkey said.

The wolf growled looking at Regal with ferocity.
