Book 1:Chapter 14: First Skill!

Regal bend his back in a bow like position then he lunged forward like he is the arrow of the bow, the wolf then also ran and sprint forward Regal then jumped high up with its left and right arm slashing in an intersection forming a wind X that charge at Regal. Of course when Regal saw this he change the idea of attacking and defended immediately putting his scythe upfront and slashed forward to meet the crossblade wind that came from the wolf.

An imperceptible aura shrouded the scythe it's a bit transparent but with a tinge of red if one is observant enough you will see it. Of course in the fight the only one who can perceive it Mad Monkey. He saw the intangible aura and he thought might as well ask how to get stronger from his rival.

Regal doesn't really have any available skills only the calm influx and it's more of like a passive that will decide on its own. So Regal can only fight on the method that he has normally slashing waving and etc.

After they both of the blows collided a strong gust of wind ravage the area around Regal, he got some cuts due to the wind and small rocks flying over. But he's not that weak anymore he didn't got knocked back like before, capitalizing the gap the wolf ran over towards with a fierce chomp with a thought of biting Regal's head off.

But since Regal perception is strong he always monitors the enemy even if his vision is blocked by the sudden dust storm. And he can see things from afar what more in this combat when they're few meters away from each other right? It's like he has eye in the sky that monitors the area he's in.

He then let go of the scythe in front of him and duck immediately and slide forward, then the wolf bit nothing but and he slide air upon reaching the wolf's stomach he clutched a claw like then slammed it to the ground to stopped exactly at the stomach and his right hand forming a fist which pounded at the wolf stomach followed by an agonized howl.

Regal then roll to side and the wolf stomped at where is he at earlier, when regal was about to stand up he sense the wolf paw slashing at his side and immediately he lay at the floor then roll over towards the scythe. After holding it he stabilize his position and stand up. Even monitoring the whole time he still felt the sense of danger around him. Ever since he got here Regal has the sensation that someone is watching him.But he don't know what or why he's feeling that way.

'I need to finish this quickly, my perception doesn't fail me if that's the case someone is much more stronger afar that is good at cloaking his presence which I can't detect. But what is it?.'

Even as his thinking at the moment he exchange blows with the wolf the wolf both of them exchanged blows for more like 20 rounds already.

While this is going on up ahead at the tree Mad Monkey is watching the battle at some sort of his peripheral vision he saw something. He got curious and saw a figure 1 meter long only. But doesn't make sound and quite blended with the patch of grass as if it's not there.

Upon closer look you can't really notice it but you will see the tall patch grass swaying left and right as it pass through slowly, 12 meters away from the fight Mad Monkey saw it and noticed it.

And then he looked over at Regal's location exchanging back and forth with the wolf his body is full of scratches tattered clothes, but nothing grievous or life threatening but he looks uneasy.

'Maybe he doesn't know? Should I tell him? If he dies then there won't be a rival at my harem. But it's wrong he got himself because of me. No if you do tell him you'll be a lackey for a year!' Good and Evil constant debates going through his mind.

While this is happening the figure is approaching tho extremely slow it will pounce at any opening.

This wolf is hard to deal with but the crisis welling up within him still rose. And then the wolf opened his mouth shooting an ball of air towards his location, after dodging to the side he swipe his scythe, dealing with the wind aftermath then he heard Mad Monkey shout.

"Hey rival I don't know your name but south east your location seven meters far from you there's a one meter long I don't know what is it slowly crouching towards the both of you. He's well blended in might as well deal with that and deal quickly with the wolf!" Finally he shouted. He thought himself righteous but the real reason that he did that was he can't get out of the forest without being a tender meat for the beast around. He needs a body guard to survive and his rival is his candidate. But he still felt that he did Regal a big favor.

Of course Regal doesn't know Mad Monkey's thought. And he look over at that side what he saw was the swaying of the grass as if someone crouching passing over and with his strong perception he focused his perception there. Shortening his perception range and focus with that he can see everything 10 meters around him with full detail as if it was a painting. He was amazed but now is not the time to marvel, he felt grateful to Mad Monkey and will plan on treating him better soon as he become his lackey.

But he doesn't know that lackey thought of him as a body guard at this point. Making your Rival a bodyguard? How cool is that? at least on Mad Monkey's mind its cool.

At this point Regal suddenly felt at ease, calm... So calm that his thoughts was clear, after getting rid of uneasiness he felt his head clear. His thinking became rapidly fast, in a single slash of the wolf he thought of four multiple outcomes if he do this or that. The first time he felt this way is when he threw caution to the wind and decided to face the crocoman head on.(1)

[ CALM INFLUX ] A passive state that will automatically activate when facing unprecedented crisis or sudden turn of event, it will calm the mind to thoroughly analyze the situation.

It activated at this moment of course regal was shocked for a second but nothing more than a sec.

With that he stab the scythe upright like a flag the ground then he move to the side a hair breath away from the pounce bite of the wolf, with that he twist 360 degrees while grabbing the scythe mustering all his strength and twist again, borrowing this momentum he slashed like a wheel vertically severing the wolfs in half from its belly and low body parts from it's upper torso.

While still in the spinning momentum he let go of the scythe exactly at the lizard like figure which is one meter long with a gray scale colored but has the ability to blend like it is one of it's surroundings. The scythe flew over it's location directly plunging the scythe on it's head. It got caught of guard and extremely confident that his prey hasn't noticed him yet. But after the scythe plunged unto it's skull directly piercing it's brain and ceased moving also ceased its life.

When Regal saw this he breathe a sigh of relief. "Pheeeeeew, still this only skill of mine really helps at this time. Too bad I can't keep it all the time, well still I've dealt with the situation after he said that his exp finished filling up then a golden ray of pillar shot upwards 25 meters long enveloping him. He directly jumped 5 levels. from 48 to 53!.

After the ray faded it's like he has imperceptible that no one can see but can feel it. Regal then shot a look at the tree.

Mad Monkey saw all of this happening he felt relieve that he didn't offended this jinx, but still got fright when he saw him looking up at him. He was nervous that this jinx might change his mind so he have to endure being a lackey.

"Alright you agree to be my lackey go down here and collect that corpse of that lizard thing there, bring me its heart and drag the corpse here." Regal said.

Mad Monkey heard this and he shivered he thought of Regal as a demon but now... He demonified him more in his mind, like he thought now.

After going down he brought the corpse quietly along with the scythe on it head. When he saw the scythe for a sec his heart skipped a beat like its getting constrict by an intangible thing. He closed his eyes out of curiosity he touched the scythe and there he saw carnage rains of blood, different corpses everywhere and various beast there are also humanoids, and even demon like creature like he's facing them with the scythe in his hand.

That feeling made his heart like it was going to burst and he immediately let go of the corpse and drag it to Regal. Cold sweat formed on his forehead and back, if I'm late for a sec the pressure will definitely crush me and my heart will explore. How can he endure such a feeling? Looking over at Regal like he is some Demon God.

But he doesn't know that even tho Regal experienced that intense slaughter and the pressure he got used to it, until now it didn't came back tho and never saw that vision again after drinking his blood on the first time he held it. Regal then pulled a dagger tilting the dagger upside down he stabbed the heart of the beast.

Mad Monkey closed his eyes that don't want to see a demon eating.

Plunge! Shhhkkkkkkkkkkkkk blood spurted after Regal tabbed the heart.

"There it is! Bonus this is delicious! HAHAHAHAHA" Regal laugh uproariously because of what he saw.

Cold sweat poured all over Mad Monkey after hearing this.

'This Demon I must not provoke, maybe that's why he's so handsome? He's not my rival he's not a human!' He thought. Then suddenly...

"Hey Mad Monkey what are you dozing off there while standing?" Said Regal.

Then when Mad Monkey saw that only stains of blood and the heart at both of the beast in on the hands of Regal he shivered.

'So fast! He devour them so fast!' Mad Monkey thought.

"Stop dozing off and get rid of the smell of blood on you! I'm done storing the corpse so we can sell it the town later. I'm so lucky I got more orbs hahaha." Regal laugh then suddenly changing clothes.

"Right, I don't have spare clothes." Mad Monkey said "there's a stream somewhere near, just go roll ever some dung or find some leaves and brush it over yourself just wash yourself at the stream let's go" Regal said and started running.

He was stunned then did what Regal said and follow.

Mad Monkey hesitated but asked anyways.

"What about the corpse? What do you mean sell?" Mad monkey asked.

"I stored them at the storage in the system so we can sell this at the town. What are you thinking?

"You didn't devour them?" Mad monkey muttered involuntary then he got nervous suddenly realizing what he did.

"Devour? Are you hungry and you want to devour this precious beast? No way. Let's hunt some boar and eat but not this corpse." Regal said.

Mad Monkey then suddenly stopped running at his tracks. He isn't a demon... Shaking his head he laugh uproariously.

Which made Regal stopped at his tracks.

"So you're human after all. You're my rival after all phew." He suddenly felt at ease and the smugness crept in Mad Monkey's mind again.

"What are you thinking let's go! And What are you saying I'm a human after all. If we're doubting humanities I should be doubting you if you're a humanoid monkey beast for hugging that tree branch for so long. Let's go" Regal said while continuing on his way.
