On this serene field only a man chained oh four limbs standing still like a stone statue along with the gentle breeze of fresh wind.
'I get it that I may took a little time of the senior about deciding but is it necessary to tie me up here?' Regal thought whatever inconsistency he has with his thinking even himself can't deny that he never dealt with so many people until now it's only a few that he can all remember.
But all this thinking got interrupted when he heard a gentle voice spoke around him seemingly everywhere. When he looked it the old man walking towards him.
"You may be thinking why are you here just because you didn't decide that you must have angered me am I right?" The old man asked with a faint smile seemingly amused.
Regal was of course shocked the old man to him was very mysterious and this also solidified the image of the old man in front of him. Now that this is happening he still can't believe it that it's exactly what he was thinking like he was a book. And suddenly he remembered the book floating around him it's still there but no one earlier pointed it out.
Seeing the shocked evident from Regal's face the old man smiled even more and shook his head faintly, of course he saw that the little guy in front of him looking at something but he didn't call him out for that.
Regal want to speak but now that this happened he hesitate for the first time after meeting this old man.
"If you have something to say just say it, besides that's the only thing you have won't I be too cruel if even speaking will be taken from you? I'm not some demon you know" With a smile said the old man.
After hearing that Regal recollected himself and asked the old man on what he really thinks, besides the old man already guessed it what's the use of hiding it from a powerful senior like him.
"Indeed senior I am wondering about it." With a puzzled expression asked the old man.
The old man nodded and answered "Young man everyone in this world will know what exactly what you're thinking when they saw the reaction on your face."
At this point Regal realized that he didn't considered that small factor most of the danger he encountered he relied on the skill he has. But not really had the experience to be calm at all times.
"I got it senior I'm really sorry if I did something wrong, why do I have to be detained? Can I get out senior?" Ask Regal at this point he's helpless and started asking.
"That's easy just beat this guys." With a wave of a hand the atmosphere changed and squeaking sound and several green creatures with pointed nose also pointed ears with green skin with random warts on their body the size of them at most half a human.
Goblins. When Regal saw this he was shocked by the sheer number at first seemingly endless number of goblins on the field.
The chain clicked and he's now free from the binding of the old man.
Regal look at the old man seemingly asking how and why did this many goblins suddenly appear out of nowhere.
"Isn't this what you younglings are here for? The rewards and the points. I'm helping you and also helping the tower clear of these invader from foreign realm, isn't that a win win young man?" Said the old man with a smile.
Before Regal can ask what was happening he was woken from his dazed by the sound of the goblins rushing towards him. And he saw that the old man was now gone and he was the only one on this green field.
Leaving with no choice he summoned the Scythe of Calamity and started fighting.
Stomping his feet he run backwards he decided to not face the horde lest he will be overwhelmed.
The Goblins ranging levels from 50 to 63 at max, only stronger than a elite soldier a kingdom. Because the nimbleness of the Goblins and with the sheer number this made his scalp go numb.
But during this time an extreme cool feeling flowing through his body and his body seemed going lighter to weightless. His stats increased and he can feel the strength.
[Domination (Passive)] Your stats rising exponentially>
10% , 20%, 30%...
It keeps rising, the goblin can't keep up with him he purposely slow down and swung the Scythe forward with a sweeping motion, with only the Goblin averaging from 50-60+ levels plus his higher stats the two goblin at the front got sliced in half horizontally. The green blood of the goblins scattered this only doesn't make the horde scared but it turned their eyes to crimson seeing the blood of their fellow.
With new found confidence Regal faced the horde left and right when someone got near him planning to stab him at the back, Regal suddenly turned and slashed the goblin at the middle of his brow before jumping to the side where the surroundings doesn't have the and encirclement.
At the same time a sharp pain from his thigh, a small half a meter arrow stabbed at his thigh, the goblins at the front only hold nick rusty sword, while there's an archer goblins at the back.
'Damnit, of course there have to a be range troop on this scale of goblins. I didn't noticed' Regal inwardly said to himself. His mind was calm at this time also thanks to the skill that he have.
[ CALM FLUX- Rank 1 ]- A passive state that will automatically activate when facing unprecedented crisis or sudden turn of event, it will calm the mind to thoroughly analyze the situation.
-Ranking up requirements *Int 5000, Perception 5000*=Rank 2
'But this time I have to hone myself not relying on this skills.' Even he himself found out how weak without the mysterious skills that he have.
Analyzing the surrounding battle now Regal was mindful of the archer goblins, he can't go to a much open field because he can see that the archer gobs doesn't attack where their brethren was fighting. Of course it will be a lot harder if they decided to shoot without regard. Time passed slash after slash Regal killed more and more but he lost the count of how many gobs he killed, at some point he got the range of the archers and massacred a troop.
Still the goblins seemed endless even with his Stats seemingly godlike like a harvester on this battlefield he's getting tired. The once fresh open grassy field now dyed with green and some red blood coming from the arrows that hit him, or the goblins weapon that stab and wound him from the side and multiple angles.
He did noticed that his battle awareness are getting honed, thanks to the skill he doesn't panic and have his mind clearly in a situation like this if you lose your cool and the overall rhythm of the battle you lose is what he's thinking.
'No matter how many I killed they aren't retreating there's something wrong' Regal thought.
Attacking towards his right side with a sweep killed multiple goblins, while some of the other goblin jump mounting a surprise attack catching the goblin at the neck he used it as a shield from an incoming arrow, this isn't the first time he did this throughout the battle but he's getting exhausted.
'Why is there and endless horde?' Is there a leader somewhere' After fighting for who knew how many minutes or hours he was still finding the leader but he can't just because of the sheer number of the gobs. From a bird's eye view one can see that the ground below seemingly a field of green peas. Means full of goblins.
Even if he's absolutely superior and his stats are high his mental strength are draining, no matter how strong the body is the mind will get tired of thinking fast in this situation.
Regal's gained in this fight isn't small even if the endless fighting is taxing he can clearly see the drawback of the fluctuation of his stats. whenever he killed multiple he will feel week and some of the stats he gained will lose the damage that accumulate in his body amplified, while if he gain more stats he will gain more strength and vitality but his regeneration isn't outdoing the damage of the horde to him. Like there's a saying a ton of ants can still kill an elephant the best description of his predicament.
'If this continue I will be in serious trouble, yea right like I'm not in serious trouble now.' I need to run is what he was thinking right now but suddenly something unexpected happen that even now with all this injury he can think clearly. But with this showing he clearly doesn't have that leisure to do so it's a life and death crisis.
