"You're not really a mortal, aren't you?" Jarmee asked and my eyes widen in shock.
"You can tell from my blood?" I asked lifting him up and Jarmee smiled.
"Your smell like a human though any vampire can smell something else in your blood, but I just thought that I was just imagining it," Jarmee said looking over at Ascelin, "after tasting her blood it's anything but human blood. Who is she?"
"A vampire," Ascelin said crossing his arms over his chest. Jarmee look over at me like he was studying me.
"That must be a powerful spell whoever turned you into a mortal," Jarmee said getting up, "but it couldn't hide that blood of yours."
"Do you know how to turn me back?" I asked Jarmee.
"I don't know nothing about that, sweetheart," he said and I frowned.
"Ahhhhh!" I groaned.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Jarmee said walking over to Ascelin.
"Jarmee..." Ascelin said grabbing Jarmee shoulder and looked him straight in the eyes, "I need you to forget about everything that happened this morning and realized that you just woke up and was about to take a shower. If you happen to see the bite marker on Noelia neck just remember that I did it, not you."
"What are you doing?" I asked walking over to him.
"I understand," Jarmee said then in the next second, Ascelin came over to grab my hand and took me to his room.
"Hey!" I said when he pushed me into his room then shut the door behind him, "what is that called..uhm...compelling! Did you just compel Jarmee to forget what happened?"
"I did," Ascelin said coming over to me and look at the bite Jarmee left on my neck, "you let him bite you."
"Are you jealous?" I asked pulling away from him.
"I bite can be portrayed as a kiss and sometimes more, so yes I'm jealous," Ascelin said gripping my hips.
"Ow, I'm sorry!" I said hugging him, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I don't want you to be mad at me."
"Do you like Jarmee?"
"You already asked me that."
"Answer the question," he slightly yelled. I never seen Ascelin this mad before, I mean he is pissed and I'm feeling really guilty.
"I do, I do like Jarmee, but I love you, and I only see him as a friend," I said.
"I don't want you alone with him again..."
"You can't do that, he's the only one I actually can talk to in this house without feeling weird, besides you. Are you really going to take my freedom away?"
"Do you happen to know a guy name Kol?" Ascelin asked and I quickly shake my head, "Fine, stay here, I'll be back later."
"Ascelin!"
"Can you for once do as you are told?" Ascelin growled walking to the door.
"Fine!" I cried out jumping into his bed curled up under the covers falling asleep.
(Two hours later)
"Girl, you been a sleep all morning!" Jarmee said walking inside Ascelin room waking me up.
"I'm sorry, I really didn't get much sleep last night," I mumbled throwing the covers off of me sitting up.
"Explains the bite mark, you and Ascelin."
"Uhm, yeah!" I blushed hiding the bite mark, debating if I should tell him that Ascelin isn't the one that actually gave me the vampire bite.
"I don't know if I was dreaming or something but I have the taste of some good blood in my mouth," Jarmee smiled licking his teeth.
"Oh really?" I mumbled out with a frantic look.
"Anyways!" Jarmee said throwing it behind him and I sighed in relief, "where's Ascelin?"
"Well, you see, he's kind of mad at you..." I said getting up from the bed.
"Shit, what did I do?" Jarmee asked coming into the room and shut the door. I went over to sit down on the couch and Jarmee followed.
"Uhm, it was more of what I said," I said fidgeting with my hands, I'm not going to tell Jarmee the big reason why Ascelin is mad at him, but I can tell him that I told him that I liked him because Ascelin is mad at that. I just don't want Jarmee to be blindsided if he end up walking up to Ascelin and Ascelin accidentally punches him.
"What you say?"
"That I liked you?" I blushed covering my face.
"You want me dead, don't you?" Jarmee said standing up.
"No, of course not!" I said glancing up at him.
"Then why the hell you tell him that..."
"Because he asked, I do like you and I couldn't lie to Ascelin," I said standing to walk pass him but he grab my arm.
"Hey, I know there's something going on between the two of you, and Ascelin my guy, so I wouldn't get in a way, but since you said it... I like you too," Jarmee said looking into my eyes and I smiled. I really do like Jarmee, he has a bright personality, a gentleman, smart, a goofy ball at times, kind, and thoughtful towards me. I don't know how he is around other people, but to me he's those things and I end up liking him. But then there's Ascelin and the history that was once erased from my mind, I instantly got all those feelings back which made me in love with Ascelin.
"I'm sorry," I mumbled hugging him.
"Friends?"
"Friends!" I said pulling away from him, "but seriously, I would probably stay clear of Ascelin for a few days."
"Great, maybe I'll go with you to visit your family," he said and I nod.
"Sure!"
"So have you eaten?" He asked and I shook my head, "it's almost one in the afternoon and you haven't eaten a thing?"
"No!" I pouted hearing my stomach growl at the mention of food.
"You know what, let's go shopping for groceries so there can be food for you in the house and you want starve to death," Jarmee said grabbing my hand pulling me out the room, "we'll get you food on the way."
"Uhm Jarmee, Ascelin told me to stay in the room...matter of fact he doesn't want me alone with you," I said biting my nail awkwardly, Jarmee turned to me with a sad expression and pout.
"Do you think I care?" He said whipping the sad face and replace it with a smirk, "I'm not going to let you sit here and starve to death. You need to eat and I'm going to take you to get something."
"But..."
"No, but, Ascelin said to keep you safe and lack of food is not safe for a human being, so let's go."
"Ok!" I mumbled not up to arguing because I was really hungry, "I want a steak with a loaded mashed potatoes and corn."
"Whatever you want princess, come here!" Jarmee said grabbing my waist and before I could protest we was outside next to a black van, "get in!"
"You know how to drive?"
"Noel, it's the twentieth century, of course I know how to drive." Jarmee said going around to the driver seat as I got into the passenger, "it comes in handle."
"So how far we're out from the city?" I asked putting on my seatbelt.
"About thirty minutes," Jarmee said getting on the road, he lean all the way back in his seat, driving with one hand.
"So, do you know if we're going back to school?"
"Why you need to go to school?" Jarmee asked shrugging his shoulder, "if Ascelin pulling you into our life then you wouldn't have time for school and plus you wouldn't need it."
"What? So, I'm just going to stop coming to school, what about the headmaster?"
"He knows, don't worry about it, we took care of everything," Jarmee said.
"What about my stuff in the dorm?"
"Sydney retrieved it and placed it in your room and if you stop shacking up with Ascelin, you would have known that," Jarmee said glancing over at me and rolled my eyes.
"Jealous?" I teased.
"Please," Jarmee breathed out look me up and down, "I know that I'm the one that gave you that bite mark."
"Wait, what? I thought Ascelin compelled you?"
"I'm to smart for that, but don't worry if you keep your mouth shut then I'll do the same, and he will never know."
"I'm not good at lying," I mumbled.
"Should I compel you to forget the last two minutes of our conversation?" Jarmee said glaring down at me and I quickly shook my head.
"Then shhhhh," Jarmee said with his finger on his lips, he's so cute.
"Was what he said true, that if he didn't come after you bit me, you wouldn't have stopped?"
"Uhmm..." Jarmee sighed guiltily.
"Why wouldn't you?"
"Your blood is different, almost the royal type. I don't think you're any ole vampire...do you remember you're parents names?"
"Uhm, it was..." but I draw a blink making me frown, why don't I remember.
"Maybe the spell made you also forget about the personal details of your family," Jarmee thought and I frowned.
"I know what they look like, but I can't remember their names," I mumbled, "Ascelin knows almost everything about me, but he doesn't want to tell me unless he has too."
"So you two must really go back?"
"Yeah, basically he's my ex-"lover" that compelled me to forget about him a few years ago," I said still processing that information.
"Lover? Great, I see that I'm a very far second," Jarmee said and I laughed.
"He's keeping the one thing that can turn me back to a vampire to himself and others things and I just want to find out what he's hiding." I said turning to Jarmee, "want to help me find out what those are?"
"Yeah, sure, I love investigation," Jarmee said and I smiled, "but we'll have to be very careful because if Ascelin catch us, then were dead."
"Of course, we don't want that!" I said excited because now I have my partner in crime that will help me figure this all out.
