The trend of e commerce business is now very popular with start ups. But it is not a long term business strategy. Because you have no branding for your customers to trust and buy from you over and over again. It is also very competitive to list your products on these platforms as you are forever competing with others on the same platform on pricing and also you are forever finding new customers.

Customers can compare prices and buy from the lowest listed prices. Besides pricing the delivery time and service are also important for you to be on top of your other competitors.

So how can you be on top of your other competitors? Firstly you have to create a brand as a distributor for the product that you have chosen to market. This is the most important step. Create a company logo that is best suited to represent the product that you will be selling. Give some thought cause this logo will be used for your marketing phase. Try to stick with the same logo and do not make changes to it. Your company logo need to be attractive and distinct so that it will remain on your customers mind making your service uniquely different from your other competitors.

Next is the product you have chosen to market. It must be good quality and reasonably priced. To convince customers that you are selling goods which is of good quality. You need to give at least 1 week guarantee for any manufacturing defects. Provide free exchange for genuine claims. In this way you will get customers to trust you. You need to setup a social media platform where customers can get in touch with you so that you can reply immediately for any questions on how to use the product or other queries. You can make use of Facebook or other platforms to create a new official page solely for this purpose. Your page will have your logo and list your products or servives. Describe the benefits and how to use in a concise and easy to understand language. Post morning greetings daily on your page. Let customers feel that you're not only interested to just make a fast deal. Instead you have to think differently and tell yourself that you have to provide the best products or services above the rest of your competitors. You have to prove that you're the fastest in terms of delivery or services you offer. Once you have put in your best efforts slowly and making sales you will start to get positive feedback comments from your customers. Use these testimonials and publish on your page. This is a good marketing tool to get new customers to trust your brand and service. Get as many followers to like and join your group. Once your followers grow it will be tandom with your business growth. Customers will keep on retuning back to you for more orders. If you received new customers orders due to recommendation from your regular customers. Be grateful and at least give your regulars a small gift as a token of appreciation. You will get more leads from at active 'word of the mouth' person.

So how do I retain my customers?

Create a campaign specially for a closed group of your regular customers. Spread the special promo campaign only for your regular customers. Make them feel special I am very sure they will come back for more of your products.
