Chapter 9 - Normal and Ordinary

Bang! I heard the door slam open. I jumped at the abrupt noise. I looked towards the door and saw a surprising face.

It was mother. She was looking at me with tears on her eyes. Her expression looks like she wants to cry. I got out of the bed, ran towards her, and hugged her. I apologized to my mother and told her that I'll never leave without telling her ever again.

Finally, I realized something. Why's mother here and how did she get here? I went ahead and asked, but she said that she'll tell me after breakfast.

I heard a sound on my side and both me and mother looked that way at the same time. When we turned over that way, I heard a shriek. It was Warren's. He apologized for disturbing me and my "sister's" conversation.

I was about to tell him that she's my mother, but mother grabbed my shoulder, shook her head, and placed her finger over her mouth with a "Shhhh~".

I tooo a bath and grabbed a change of clothes then headed to eat breakfast. On the table, I could see mother, father, my stepmother, my stepsisterd and stepbrother. They were waiting for me to arrive and I apologized for taking so long.

I was surprised, tough. I thought that father's new wife wouldn't like my mother but they seem to go along well. I then asked mother how she got here and she said that my "Grandmother" helped her.

We finished our breakfast and I was intrigued by what my sister Uxie was reading so I went ahead and asked her about it. She obliged and told me that we can talk at the library. We arrived at the library and she said that the book she's reading is all about the different realms of Seed.

The first one and the current strongest was the Elemental Plane. It was said that the Elemental Plane was just like ours, a land brimming with all kinds of life and races. Until the Great Realm War happened and almost all of the species that lived there went extinct. Except for a few Elementals. They bred, their population skyrocketed, and so did their strength. There's a King for each element and that King is supposed to be the Strongest or most knowledgeable of them all.

Secondly, the Spirit Realm or the Spirit World. Ruled by Lux, God of Faes, Elves, and Beastkin. It once held the throne of being the strongest, but due to the 「Fallen's」 actions and the sudden rise of the Elementals, they're now only in secons. Though there's not much difference in their strengths, but the Spirit's weakness are their slow reproduction rate. This is countered by each person's absurd strength and their long lifespan. The Spirit Realm serves as the vanguard of the X realms against the 「Fallens」.

Thirdly, there's our world. The Overworld or the Mortal Realm. Due to the place our realm resides, we are constantly in attack against the 「Fallen」 , but not as much as the Spirit Realm. Every now and then, once a great cataclysm rises, all of the gods would gather and give a certain human the title "The Fated One" and nourish them so that they could put a stop on the cataclysm. I looked at my [Glaze]and saw the said title.

Lastly, there's the Underworld. The Realm where the souls of the dead are sent to be judged. It is ruled by Kronikon, God of Darkness and Death; Along with Flauriel, Goddess of Light and Healing. Together, they maintain the world's balance. They are the ones who can send someone's soul back to the Overworld and reincarnate or be damned and be put in prison for their bad deeds.

I thanked Uxie for her time and she gently smiled back at me, blushed, and turned her hesd away. She really is a shy girl like everyone said, but she's also kind.

Next, I walked to the training grounds to observe the knight's training when I tripped over nothing and heard someone snicker. I felt magic being used so I tracked it and touched a brick in the wall, opening a hidden door. There, I saw Trumea with her eyes wide in fear.

I calmed her down telling her I won't do anything, but also lectured her that this is dangerous. She replied that she knew I was coming here and waited. If she saw someone else that wasn't me, she would've disabled the trap she set.

I asked why she wants to hurt me and she shook her head, apologizing. She said that she's a little bit jealous that only I get father's attention lately and that she wanted his attention too. I told her that this was not the right way to do it and helped her develop a new skill that would impress father, Cooking.

It's now the next day. I spent all of the time yesterday helping Trumea; teaching her how to properly cook and to cut the ingredients in the right size. She's a fast learner. In half a day, she surpassed my Cooking Skill. I'm kinda sad and happy at the same time, but today is the day we're gonna serve Trumea's Cooking.

Of course, we asked for the head chef if Trumea could cook for our father. The chef hesitated, but gave in because she gave him a look that no one could reject. The legendary Puppy Dog Eyes.

We cooked for everyone's lunch, but it was mostly Trumea. I only helped her prepare the display of the dishes.

It was now time. The noon bell rang and we requested help from the servants to carry the food to the table. Everyone was surprised when they saw Trumea serving the food. She smiled and scrathed her head, turning around to nothing. She looked around and finally saw me and gave a huge thumbs up.

It was afternoon when I was called by a maid telling me that Princess Azure was calling for me at the training grounds. I was confused. Why would she be at the training grounds?

I arrived there and saw a different version of my sister Azure. Her usual elegant appearance is now gone, but is replaced with a fierce one. Clad in armor with a longsword and shield on each hand.

She approached me and challenged me to a duel.
