I was confused by the sudden challenge of my sister, but I still accepted it. I'm kinda nervous because this is my first battle against another human being.

I could use my [Appraisal]skill on her, but it's cheating. I don't care anymore. If it increases my odds of winning, then so be it.

I casted [Appraisal]on her, displaying her[Glaze]

Woah. She's 10 levels higher than me. She also has both a Class and Subclass which puts me more on a disadvantage. I went ahead and borrowed a staff from my father. He gave me his staff while he was still young. Also, I upgraded some of my skills as I leveled up.

I acquired a new title, huh. Four levels more until I got myself a sweet Class. I also got a new skill, Staff Mastery, probably because of the staff I borrowed from father.

｢Cold Staff of Whispers: Allows for Silent Casting when in hand and a temporary increase of Ice and Water Magic's power.』

「Are you ready?」 Sister Azure asked with a hint of impatience on her tone. I nodded and immediately summoned Gray, Nightmare, and Fögar. The knights around us gasped in surprise.

The bell rang, sounding the start of the battle. I quickly hopped onto Gray's back and flew up thinking that my sister wouldn't get me up here. I looked down and surprised that my sister was right behind me. She gave a smirk and increased her speed.

She was nearing so I had to do something. With an aerial battle, Nightmare and Fögar is no help. I decided that I'll trick her with an illusion, making a copy of us with nearly an identical aura.

Her face grimaced and she furthermore increased her speed. She arrived behind me and she thrusted her rapier, destroying the illusion. She looked around and saw me already on the ground, unmounted, and with my familiars in my side.

I gave her the same smirk she gave me and prepared to cast another spell. I stood behind Fögar and instructed Nightmare to strike my sister's opening. I sent Gray on the air to keep her occupied, forcing her to land.

The spell was ready. A purple ball of lightning that gives an aura of destructiveness. I shot it towards her and she dodged. The ball of lightning turned around and she barely dodged it in time, frying a part of her armor.

I think she got angry when she looked at me with her terrifying eyes. I casted a spell that would force her to stay on the ground, but it would also affect everyone including Gray. I telepathically told him that I'll make this a terrestrial fight and he landed.

Combining both Wind and Ice magic to form a mini blizzard, I activated it. I made it so that the minimum height it could affect was a meter taller than Fögar. My sister immediately landed and rushed towards me.

Fögar blocked my sister's rapier with his greataxe and swung his greatsword downwards while I casted an illusion to Nightmare, making him invisible.

Nightmare was approaching my sister stealthily when she thrusted on Nightmare's location. It hit him directly on the chest and he dissipated, sending me a message.

「 I am sorry for failing you, milord.」

I clutched my staff hard. I knew that Nightmare wasn't dead, but the pain of that was unimaginable. I began to cast another spell when she dodged Fögar and moved towards me. The slow Fögar couldn't keep up so he threw his weapons at the ground beneath her with great strength, making it collapse.

Now she's stuck in a pit. It gave me the time to complete my spell that would end it all. I stopped the blizzard and flew up with Gray. I first looked around to see if casting this would be safe and I felt relieved when father was watching us. He nodded at me and he casted a barrier around the training grounds.

I began the merging of my spells and let Fögar distract my sister for a couple of minutes.

I finished merging it and heard Fögar's cries from below. It once again hurt me to hear their painful cries, but it was of their own free will. Fögar apologized to me and thanked him for giving me the time to finish my preparation.

On one hand, a bolt of lightning was conjured. The other is ball of fire and ice. I put them together and fused it, making a freezing hot lightning bolt. I shot it towards my incoming sister with a speed of light and struck her stomach followed by a blinding light.

She dropped down, unconscious. I lessened the power of thay bolt by a lot because I couldn't bear myself to hurt someone without malice. I told Gray to go down and caught my unconscious sister.

The guards were putting up a bed for her so I laid her down there. I'll apologize to her when I wake up, so I'm planning to go to town and buy her a gift.

I walked to my father with mother and my stepmother on both sides. I gave an awkward smile and gave his staff back. He refused it and told me that it was his gift to me for my hardwork. I thanked him and clutched the staff in front of my chest with a cry of joy.
