Give me the gun

"GET DOWN!" She screamed, pulling her boss low and covering his body with hers.

SKRIKSH! SKRIKSH! SKRIKSH!

Their driver, Mr. Yang, was caught in a surprise and the car swerved. The bullets didn't puncture through the tinted windows of the car, simply leaving a small crack and dent where they were supposed to go.

"CEO Fei! Are you alright?" Mr. Yang yelled from the front. The car swerved again when he tried to peek at the back to check on him.

"Keep the car steady!" Ying Yue yelled, keeping her entire weight on top of her boss as she checked the surroundings.

Damn it, who was trying to kill them? She knew that CEO Fei offended a lot of people but she never thought it would actually come to this. Or perhaps the hitman was after her? But that's impossible. No one knew she was shadow fox other than a few people at Juyan.

Fei Huangjin struggled to push her off him without hurting her in the process. "Stop moving around, CEO Fei." The arm that was trying to maneuver her off him was slapped away.

How dare this woman slap him at a time like this?

"..." Ying Yue glanced outside the window. The motorcycle rider was still there, keeping up with them with a gun on one hand.

"This car is bulletproof." He grunted from under her, breaking free of Ying Yue's hold. She gripped his arm to force him to stay low. The rider sped up, trying to get ahead of the car. He was probably going to keep aim at the windshield straight for the driver!

Ying Yue knew that bulletproof cars had their limit. If the rider shot the windshield enough times, eventually he'd break through. "Mr. Yang! Don't let the motorcycle get ahead of us! Drive faster! And if you can, slam on to him!"

"Yes, miss!"

Fei Huangjin was pushing her hand away. "Secretary Ying, let go of me so I can get my gun!"

Gun. The word was like a match stick getting lit in Ying Yue's ears. She gripped his shoulders and shook him hard. "Where's your gun?" This was a life and death situation. She didn't have the time to be polite to her boss. "Give me the gun!"

Frowning at her, he only said one word. "Seat."

Ying Yue understood enough. She released him and took a military knife from her purse. She slid it open. "Move, CEO Fei." He narrowed his eyes at her and slid from the middle of the seat to the side.

With her eyes on him, she stabbed at the cushion and ripped it apart, fishing for the gun.

He knew she found it when her eyes lit up. She then pulled out a black handgun and examined it quickly, checking if it was loaded.

She whistled, impressed. "The CZ 75B." He raised his brows. He didn't expect her to know what model it was.

"Give me that." He held out a hand.

She frowned, folded her knife, and tossed it at him.

The rider gave up trying to gain speed and instead positioned himself at the front passenger seat window at Ying Yue's side. He shot the glass a couple of times.

The car swerved several times in an attempt to shake off the rider. The two at the backseat were tossed around.

Ying Yue tried to open the car window by clicking the window button repeatedly. It didn't budge. The window was jammed.

"CEO Fei, keep yourself inside the car." Ying Yue opened the car door fluidly, one knee on the car seat, the other foot keeping balance on the door, and lifted herself up. The car was moving at about 60 miles per hour and the wind was flipping her hair wildly across her face. She couldn't afford to get distracted though. The rider was still focused on beating down the passenger side window. She was right behind him. She only had one chance.

The car swerved again and Ying Yue lost balance, almost falling off. She held on to the swinging car door with much difficulty.

Fei Huangjin grabbed her other leg to steady her. "I've got you."

She readjusted her body. One leg was inside the car and she re-positioned her other foot on the door panel. Wearing heels made it incredibly difficult. Again, she lifted herself up.

Ying Yue exhaled, quickly took aim, and fired.
