Three reasons

"CEO Zhang." Ying Yue bowed her head in greeting. "Shall I get you coffee?"

"Please," he grinned.

She left the room with Zhang Zihan's eyes on her back. The skirt she was wearing flowed as she walked and it emphasized her tiny waist.

When she closed the door behind her, he whistled wolfishly and settled on the couch at the office. He sat languidly on it as if he owned the place. "Hey. Huangjin!"

The cold, silent man in the room had observed the exchange between the two with irritation. Just when Fei Huangjin's mood started to pick up, it plummeted down again to the gates of hell, sparking a flame deep inside him.

He moved to sit on the armchair across his childhood playmate, his face stoic and composed. "What are you doing here?"

"Three reasons." Zhang Zihan crossed a leg over one knee and held up a finger in the air. "One: business. I'm going to open my biggest shop in your mall. Three stories high. A section for appliances, for gadgets, and another for artificial intelligence."

Fei Huangjin raised a brow. "You finally got your robots to work?"

"Yep. We made a breakthrough last week." The man raised his chin in self-satisfaction.

With his playboy reputation, he didn't seem like a genius; but Zhang Zihan was actually really good in what he did. Most of the new products of Zhang Electronics were personally designed by him. When they were younger and women weren't part of their vocabulary, Fei Huangjin and Xiao Yifeng had to drag him out of the house so he could play with them. Otherwise, he'd just be in his room tinkering with his gadgets, breaking them apart and rebuilding them with modifications.

"So get me a space in your mall, okay?"

"Which one? I have plenty of malls." Fei Huangjin scoffed.

The other man seemed oblivious to Huangjin's ugly mood and went on with his chatter. "At your biggest one. I was thinking of renting the west wing." He put on a big smile that pissed Fei Huangjin off even more.

"As long as it's you, consider it done. Talk to the branch manager, not me."

Zhang Zihan held up two fingers in the air, waving it in front of him. "Two: You haven't been answering our calls lately. Come have a drink with me and Xiao Yifeng."

"Mmm. Just tell me when."

The CEO of Zhang Electronics added a third finger, wiggling the three as a naughty smile crept up on his face. "And three: I'm here for your secretary."

Fei Huangjin sat up discreetly, his jaw clenching and unclenching to calm himself down. "What are you saying, Zihan?"

The other man glanced at the door and back to the cold brooding man opposite him. "She's hot."

Fei Huangjin's lips pursed in annoyance.

Despite their difference in personalities, Fei Huangjin had been good friends with him since a young age. The three of them, along with Xiao Yifeng, had been inseparable. They even picked a university overseas where they could all attend college together. However, at that moment, those two words that Zhang Zihan uttered were feeding the flames that burned inside him.

"She's my secretary." He held his hands together lest he end up choking the man.

"And that's why I'm asking permission from you to take her out for a spin." He grinned.

The temperature in the room dropped and Zhang Zihan couldn't help but feel a slight chill in his spine.

Take her out for a spin? What the heck does that even mean? "She's not a toy that you can go and take out for a spin only to drop her when you don't want her anymore."

Zhang Zihan whistled. "Easy there. Who burned your tongue this morning?" He looked at Fei Huangjin with an amused look, finally sensing some hostility from him. He brushed it off with a shrug. While they were growing up, Fei Huangjin often had mood swings just like this. He'd gotten used to it over the years.

At that moment, the door opened and Ying Yue walked in with another mug of steaming black coffee. She eyed Fei Huangjin who looked away with his lips downturned. She lifted her eyebrows and wondered what got him agitated again.

"Your coffee, CEO Zhang." She placed it in front of the man with a gentle smile.

Pleased with the attention that a beautiful lady was giving him, he picked up the mug and sat back, eyeing Ying Yue from head to toe. He liked what he saw. Actually, he'd been thinking about her a lot ever since he saw her at his party, all dolled up with her dress fitting her curves at just the right places. It wasn't even anything revealing, but it highlighted her best features nonetheless.

He began to get excited.
