I can show you what you want to see

Fei Huangjin saw the serious look in her eyes and sighed. "You have too many instant noodles in the kitchen and less of actual food, so I ordered in. Besides, you seem to have gotten thinner in just a few days."

Her eyes widened for a fraction of a second and she held up an arm to examine it.

While she was distracted, the man started squeezing her waist again. She tried wiggling out of his embrace but instead of letting her go, he tightened his grip on her and flashed her a frustrated look. "Don't move!" He shouted. Alarmed, Ying Yue sat still, and they both stayed in the same position for nearly a minute before he loosened his hold and gently lifted her off his lap.

The initially confused Ying Yue then realized what happened and she snickered, glancing down at his trousers with her hands on her hips.

"Since you know what happened, do you want to take a look?" Fei Huangjin said as he caught her red-handed while staring at his groin area.

She started to walk towards the kitchen with her head high, acting as if she didn't know what he was talking about.

"If you're curious, I can show you what you want to see." He got up and followed her, but before he could even touch her, she jumped away from him like he was a burning ball of fire that she had to get away from.

"Huangjin…" she warned, squinting her eyes at him. Her eyeballs rolled to the direction of his pants again before looking up guiltily at the smirk on his face. A wave of heat instantly made her cheeks flush.

A deep and magnetic laugh came out from his lips, making her even more embarrassed.

The kitchen counter separated them, but if Fei Huangjin leaned over, he'd still be able to plant a kiss on her. "Come on, just one kiss." His eyes gleamed mischievously as he planted both hands on the kitchen counter to propel his body forward.

Ying Yue rolled her eyes at him, but after a few seconds of contemplation along with seeing his eager face, she decided to give in. The man seemed to have really forgotten the reason why they were in her apartment in the first place -- which was to talk. And she really didn't mind stalling that conversation…

She leaned over to meet him halfway, bending over with her elbows on the countertop, looking up teasingly at Fei Huangjin's imposing position.

Naughty little vixen, he thought, before angling his head down to capture her mouth with his lips, sealing the deal.

He found his position difficult, so he leaned on his elbows instead and extended an arm to catch hold of her head, pulling her in for a deeper kiss. He'd been deprived of her for too many days. This kiss was not as slow and gentle as the one outside his house, but rather, it was forceful and hungry, and Fei Huangjin took his time with her.

Ying Yue started getting dizzy again, and her eyelids fluttered from the lack of air.

"Take small breaths while kissing." He whispered in between kisses.

She struggled to follow his advice, and soon, she wasn't panting to take a breath anymore. Huh. It was actually as easy as that.

The door bell rang twice, breaking them apart as Fei Huangjin rushed grudgingly to the door.

A mix of emotions surged into her. Although she felt grateful for the interruption, she also couldn't help thinking that it was such a loss. Just when it was getting good… She shook away her thoughts and slapped her cheeks furiously. How in the world could she call Fei Huangjin shameless when she had such shameless thoughts herself? She groaned.

He came back to set the food on the table, and the logo of the take-out boxes made her eyes shine in glee. "You ordered from Jade Palace?"

"Yeah." He glanced at her as he opened the boxes one by one. "I got you the dumplings you like, too."

"How did you know I like their dumplings?" Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

Fei Huangjin didn't even look at her as he replied. "How could I not? It's the one thing you don't fail to order from that restaurant."

She felt her face heating up and she tried to cover it up by helping him with the food. Did he really pay that much attention to her before? How did she not realize this earlier?

He stole a glance at the faint patches of red on her cheeks and he smirked at the way her pert nose was partly scrunched up in an effort to keep her blushing at bay. He knew one way to make that blush go away… "Don't think we're not having 'that' conversation after dinner," he said mildly.

The red on her cheeks disappeared almost instantly, draining her face of color.

He looked up to see the complicated look on her face. "Just pretend you didn't hear that. I still want to enjoy dinner with you."
