The timing doesn't matter

Ying Yue grudgingly sat down and fished out a dumpling from one of the boxes, instantly giving him the cold shoulder.

There was a stubborn look in her eye as she ate excitedly, amusing him. He wasn't done yet with teasing her, though. "By the way, my mother has been calling me non-stop these days. So have my grandparents. I'll have to bring you over to the Fei household soon."

The dumpling in between Ying Yue's chopsticks dropped on the table with a small thud, and she looked at Fei Huangjin accusingly. "Look what you made me do."

"What did I do?" He blinked innocently as he took out a pair of chopsticks and started eating.

"Isn't it too early to meet your family?"

"You're my girlfriend. It's only proper I bring you over to meet them. The timing doesn't matter. Besides, haven't you seen the news?" His eyes gentled as he looked at her with a smile.

"What news?" She frowned.

The ignorance on her face was one that could not be faked. Fei Huangjin didn't have a choice but to sigh and take out his phone to google 'future madame of the Fei's.' When the news articles came up on his browser, he handed his phone over to Ying Yue, who almost dropped it in shock.

"How did this happen?" She exclaimed. Her pink lips parted on their own as she read the articles that were published. "Was this in the paper, too?"

Fei Huangjin nodded without hesitation. However, a thought occurred to him that made him pause. If she finds out that he enacted the articles, she'd probably kick him out of her apartment before he could even finish with dinner. He calmly placed his chopsticks down and acted like he was just as surprised as she was when he found out about it. "Because I'm known around the city, I occasionally get stalked by a paparazzi or two. I've already asked PR to take down the articles, but it's been shared too many times. It also made the headlines of the paper, so there's really nothing we can do."

Ying Yue frowned when she saw the photo of them doing groceries together. She suddenly recalled the man with a scar -- the one she threw a can of mushrooms at. No wonder he didn't fight back. He didn't know how to fight; he was just some paparazzi. "You know, I saw the paparazzi at the supermarket."

"You did?" Fei Huangjin glanced at her as he placed a piece of sweet and sour pork in his mouth, chewing on it gracefully.

She nodded in reply. "He had this scar on his face and I thought he was someone from the Jade Circle so I hit his nose with a can of mushrooms. I think I even broke it. He was bleeding all over. Oh, and he had this weird look in the eye."

The mention of a vivid description of Guan Ting, along with Ying Yue telling him what she did to the man, caught Fei Huangjin by surprise and caused him to choke on the food he was eating. That Guan Ting -- didn't he know how to take photos discreetly?

Far away, at the Dragon Club base, Guan Ting sneezed.

"Are you okay?" Concern was marring her eyebrows as she glanced at him.

He nodded, still in a coughing fit as he tried to clear his airway. He made a mental note never to let her meet Guan Ting anytime soon, otherwise, she'd definitely know that he was the one who had their photos published on purpose.

Ying Yue returned his phone to him, and her sour mood was quickly dispensed with as she ate more of the dumplings. She was already on her third one, and she wanted to finish the entire box to herself.

Fei Huangjin couldn't help but think that he was in a relationship with a little piglet. "I've already told Haocheng about our relationship."

Her hands stilled, and she glanced at him hesitantly. "How does he feel about it?"

"He's aggrieved that he hadn't found a girlfriend for himself before I did." He smirked.

The woman across him, who was picking up her fourth dumpling, found this amusing and laughed aloud. "He's not impartial to me, is he?" She asked after a while.

"What do you mean?"

"Since I can't possibly publicize the fact that I'm a spy, everyone thinks I'm just your secretary. Moreover, I wasn't even able to graduate university." She gave him a pointed look. "That's a pretty stark contrast to your social status, Mr. Fei."

"Mrs. Fei," Fei Huangjin watched as Ying Yue froze in mid-air and blushed as he addressed her as such. "If you're that concerned with your education, I can always send you back to Imperial University under Fei International's scholarship program. With your abilities, you'd be able to finish your last year in the business management program in just six -- no, three months."
