And then she stopped.
What was she thinking? Ying Shen was a part of the Jade Circle. There was no way he'd be able to come over just to stash the documents here. Her hands that were on the door dropped limply to her side, and she felt a cold shiver through her body.
Still, she couldn't help getting her hopes up. Her head lifted up again to stare at the neatly labeled code on the door.
Near to rivers, we recognize fish; near to mountains, we recognize the song of birds [1]. Was it possible that Ying Shen was also a part of the Dragon Club? But if so, Fei Huangjin would have told her about it, right?
Ying Yue couldn't help yanking at the door knob again -- a desperate attempt to open it. And then she knocked on the door multiple times.
The sound of fists banging loudly like the ringing of gongs woke up the agent napping inside Lima 8928. He grumpily opened his door to reprimand whoever it was making noise outside. "Hey girly, stop knocking. You're disturbing my sleep." He glanced groggily at the door she was pounding on. "No one's even staying in that room."
She froze.
The woman turned around with a cloud of pain in her eyes and the man instantly sobered up and almost yelped in recognition. "Ma-madame!" He bowed as low as he could, his face contorting into panic. If Fei Huangjin caught wind of this, the master would probably cut off his tongue. "I apologize, madame. Carry on with your knocking." He shut his door as fast as he could.
The brief flash of emotion he saw in her eyes had quickly turned to confusion and skepticism. No one's staying in the room? Ying Yue eyed the door again. Could this really be the M-8927 that Ying Shen was referring to? But if so, why here, of all places?
And if it was really here, why would Fei Huangjin hide the fact that he knew her brother?
Her mind was cast in an ocean of turmoil.

Fei Huangjin finished reviewing the documents that needed his signature and approval, and he handed it over to one of his men. He had just finished a meeting with some of the high-ranking officers of the Dragon Club. They had reported the progress in their respective areas, and he had formally announced his upcoming marriage.
Seeing that he was free to talk, Guan Ting stepped up to his side. "Master Fei, a call came in earlier during the meeting. We nearly ran into some problems with the shipment of the recent batch of weapons to Taiwan."
"The shipment?" Fei Huangjin's eyebrows furrowed. "We've never ran into problems with the shipment before."
Guan Ting nodded to agree. "Yes. It seems that the authorities decided to do a spot check on the cargo and even forced to open one of the boxes. We were lucky that they had picked the dummy box containing antique stoneware, and not the ones with our guns."
A thought occurred to Fei Huangjin. "Is this the shipment with Changsu?"
"Yes, sir."
"Hmmm." One hand came up to his chin as Fei Huangjin pondered on it. He had an inkling it was Changsu's doing. The old director Chang was an ally of the Dragon Club. But now that Su Jianjun was in charge, he was sure the man couldn't be trusted. He couldn't even trust him with his woman. "Pull out the shipment. Frame Changsu for damage to the cargo or whatever. I don't want to do business with them for the time being. I'll handle communications with the Taiwan group."
There was a soft knock on the door, and Ying Yue came strolling inside with an unreadable expression on her face.
